Quinta do Sorilhal is an unique gem that you must experience once in your life. The house is around 300 hundred years and used to be “captain mor’s” home , but it has now been transformed in a lovely guesthouse maintained by Eduardo, the 21st century version of capitão mor. Everything in the place is so elegant and lovely. At the same time that you have the chance to experience a time travel, you can enjoy the freshness of the mountains, the comfort of the rooms and dive in the amazing breakfast freshly prepared every morning . The decoration is absolutely beautiful and delicate, the employees are the most lovely ones and in the afternoons you are always welcome for a piece of cake 🍰 Do not miss it.

Absolute gem. Old country side villa transformed into an authentic guesthouse. Stunningly delicious breakfasts (best we had in Portugal). Great view onto the hills and citrus trees of the garden. Edouardo, the owner, shares warm hospitality towards his guests. If you happen to visit Peneda-Geres national park, this is a place you should not miss out on! Thank you, Edouardo!

We stayed at Quinta do Sorilhal for 3 nights and it was amazing. An enchanted place full of history and beautiful views over the mountains.We have no words to describe it. Very relaxing and quiet place if you are looking for some tranquility. Breakfast is delicious, most products are homemade. Eduardo, Vitor, Graziela and Sónia went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend it! We will definitely get back!

300 year old converted church, excellent food and service...amazing location

Couldn't be better! The owner is SO nice, the grounds are immaculate, the rooms clean and spacious, the common rooms lovely and the breakfast (and snacks) sumptuous!
