Came here with a group of friends for lunch. The restaurant has a cute patio. We ordered a few things and it was hit and miss. Shrimp tempura - it shouldn’t be called tempura, because it didn’t have tempura batter. It come with a good dipping sauce though. Spring roll was about average. Pho bo - the broth was okay, average. The noodles has slight stale flavor. It needs more meat - for €16 , I expected more. Should come with more herbs on the side as well. Vietnamese iced coffee - it was truly a disappointment. It’s pretty much condensed milk with watered down pale brown water. I couldn’t taste the coffee at all. I have had Vietnamese coffee from many places. This was was the worse. The service wasn’t good either. The server wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it’s a disappointing experience.

Cosy dining space with outdoor tables for fine weather, which it wasn't in early March. The menu is illustrated with explanations in both Portuguese and English, with vegan options for each course. Wines by the half bottle were appreciated as I was on my own. Good food and reasonable prices. Starters, main course, wine and coffee for 25 euros. They take cards but seem to prefer cash.

The place is nice and cosy, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced and the staff was great. Two negative points: they don’t accept card and the place needs better ventilation, we’ve left the place smelling of cooking oil and we were nowhere near the kitchen, other than that, super and will definitely recommend and visit again.

i am mexican and have been to portugal for a few days and i had the opportunity to come to Ola viet nam to enjoy vietnamese cuisine. And I was surprised when the dishes were all beautifully decorated, the taste reminded me of the beautiful scenery in Vietnam, the aroma of each dish was very special and harmonious. But what makes me more satisfied is the enthusiastic, friendly and hospitable attitude of the owner as well as the chefs. I really highly recommend you come here to try and feel this traditional Vietnamese taste. and thank you Ola vietnam for giving me a great experience.💯recommend!!!!

VERY authentic menu selection - very much what you expect to order in Vietnam. Tip top service - attentive crew to every request. A customer spilled his glass of wine by accident and they service crew immediately cleaned up and replaced for him. The generous sized Patio is also so pleasant to be sitting in during a mid summer dinner. Special mention to the BIG DESSERT selection. I wasn’t expecting to see Grass jelly and many dessert from the streets of Vietnam here. Needless to say I help myself with plenty. Overall recommended!

The dining room is quaint and intimate but outdoor dining is available if you prefer. The food was EXCELLENT. We had two appetizers and two entrees. Our waiter was very accommodating and friendly. When I told him I was half Vietnamese he went and got the owner to meet me. The owner was very friendly. All around an GREAT OPTION for a meal! Actually, the spring rolls are so good I got one order to go to eat later in the night at home.

The beef pho is quite good, considering we are in Portugal. For some reason, they almost turned me away saying they were closed, and I was told firmly that they only accept cash. One of the other Indian waiter was more friendly. However, they also accepted other diners after me. Hence, I would have given them 5 stars if not for the incident.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. We had an absolutely amazing meal, tastes were delicious, chilli 🌶 lovely and hot, nice large portions. The family was impressed by the range of tea's and the highlight was the beautiful Butterfly Tea. Menu avaliable in Vietnamese, Portuguese and English and Vegan friendly. Pity no cocktails, no gin otherwise we will definitely be back!!

We had an evening meal here for three of us. The staff were friendly and polite. A good selection of food with photos on the menu to give you an idea what to expect (helpful if you are unsure). I would come again if I was in the same area.

The place is in a good location, the staff is super friendly, and the food was spectacular. It was my first time trying the vietnam cuisine and it really surprised me. Oh and the starters are amazing.

We had Pho and desserts and everything was delicious. The cooking is indeed authentic Vietnamese and so is the charming family running this restaurant.

Ever since we visited Vietnam, we struggled to find a place in Porto that captured the amazing flavors we tasted there... until today. Olá Vietnam is as good as it gets: ran by a Vietnamese family, homemade-style food (the bun cha in particular was excellent, as good as the one I had in Hanoi), and super friendly service. Will return!

The Pho broth was cloudy, not clear, which means they don’t skim the fat of while it’s cooking, and makes the broth a sort of velvety texture. The pho did not come with any of the regular basil, cilantro, peppers, bean sprouts on the side as in authentic pho places. (But, there was some already in the soup) The summer roll was served HOT - like they had just cooked the vermicelli. Summer rolls are supposed to be served cold. Overall, not bad I guess. But definitely not great, and certainly not authentic unfortunately.

One of my new favourite Asian restaurants in Oporto. The food is very good and the service is quick enough, the communication in English is not always understood that can cause misunderstanding, but not so serious 😃

My husband and I LOVE Vietnamese food so we were pleased to find this restaurant. Our lunch was outstanding. We both had the vegetarian vermicelli bowl. The broth was spectacular! The service was outstanding. We can't wait to return for another delicious meal.

We are a group of vietnamese tourists and after roughly two weeks of road trippin trough portugal, we had a huge craving for vietnamese food. If you have a similar craving this is the right place for you!! The food was authentic and delicious, we got warmly welcomed by the staff with the cutest smile :) none of our requests were left open. highly recommend and will come again when in porto. Cheers!

Excellent Vietnamese food! They have an adorable and quiet terrace, an oasis in the city and a great opportunity to do something different in Porto!

I am so glad I found this place. Coming from a city where there is a Pho place on every corner I was pleased to have a Vietnamese restaurant in walking distance from me. The food was good and the servers were really nice. It is cash or portuguese card only which is fine with me and a lot of places here are that way.

This was truly the best pho I’ve had in a while. I lived in Hong Kong for a while and am from London but can’t remember ever loving a pho this much. I even ordered 2 because of how delicious it was! Also the owner is an absolute treat and gave such wonderful service. 100% would recommend !

Location and the exterior design is nice. Food is good. Price is reasonable. But there are some details based on my personal experience. June 3, 2022. I was very happy to see a Vietnamese resto in the area and without thinking I went there for lunch. I asked if Spanish bank card is accepted and it was not possible, so I went to the nearest ATM machine. After my food was served and I was eating midway, the server interrupted my meal and he asked me where did I withdraw the money (as if they were suspicious if I will pay or not). And he was asking the exact details of the location where I went. The food was great but I wasn't able to enjoy it halfway because I felt judged and all. And there was a distrust to a client like me. When I was about to pay, they show me a receipt where 5% discount is not included. The resto offers 5% discount lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday). So I asked for another receipt and the change is not exact, it was short of .50 cents. I paid 30 euros and the change is not exact (see photo). I was already tired of asking again and want to finish my meal so I just let it pass. The experience could have been perfect but I am quite sad it is not. Still I give 2 stars for the good food and comfortable vibe of the place.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Very flavourful and good portions. It’s very authentic and tasted just as good as in Vietnam! They also have some good vegetarian options. The staff are also very friendly! Definitely recommend visiting

The food is very tasty and you will get an authentic experience. I highly recommend going here to enjoy lunch on their patio. A lovely Vietnamese family owns this restaurant and uses all the best Vietnamese ingredients to prepare the food.

Very expensive and tasted very bad. 5.2€ for one spring roll. Or 13€ for a main dish. The rice was cold. The veggies had meat smell. Felt like it was cooked in meat broth. Even though the dish was vegan as it said “Chay”. Avoid this place. This was a food delivery.

The food was very yummy and the restaurant owner, as well as the waiter, was friendly. What I didn't like is that the Vietnamese coffee on the menu picture looks completely different (bigger and more quantity) than what was served in reality. You can also only pay in cash there which we only figured out after eating. Luckily we had cash with us, but maybe they could put a sign up outside of the restaurant that warns the customers. Per person (main dish, dessert, drink, Vietnamese coffee) we spent around 17€ which is a good price. All in all, a good experience and we will gladly repeat.

We enjoyed every bite of our meal. The price for us from DK was fair. Staffs were sweet and caring. I will definitely recommend this cozy place to everyone in love with Vietnamese food.

Very kind host with good foods. kind of cheap but it's delicious. I strongly recommend €15 set menu - spring roll, rice noodle, vietnamese beer and dessert. (€18 for large size)

Authentic Vietnamese restaurant! I was craving for Asian food and this was recommended to me. I love how everything tasted the same as when I visited Vietnam. Kind and attentive people working here.

Pricey and very limited selection. They don't take Visa, and they don't take Mastercard. Cash or Portuguese ATM card only. Food was good but the quantity is not worth the price.
