My husband and I had lunch here on November 28, 2021. I gave one star because of the hygiene problem they had. We sat at a table next to the kitchen. There were flies everywhere surrounding us and it was really disturbing. We raised the issue to the manager who did not even offer to give us a different table. When you pay ~$150 for lunch, you expect much better ambience than having to constantly wave away flies. We went to the San Francisco location a few times and never had this problem. We were really looking forward to eating at Fogo de Chao and this experience was utterly disappointing. The only good thing that day the waiter that brought the meat around. He was very sweet and attentive. He deserved five stars.

Great dinner celebrating a birthday. Can only compare this experience to espetus and I would say fogo de chao is of higher quality. The salad bar was great, many options including different types of fruit. Meats were all delicious!

Disappointing is an understatement. I had previously visited the location in San Francisco and the entire experience was perfect. Definitely not the case here. I visited with a friend for the Veterans Day special they were having. We were seated in the very back, at a corner table. About 75% of the time, we were completely ignored by the servers, and the employees serving the meats. 25 minutes had gone by after being seated and nobody had even asked for our drinks yet. We grabbed an employee to ask who our server was, and turned out it was the one at the table next to us who had been there countless times and never even looked at us. Once that was settled (the waiter situation; we were still mostly ignored by the meat servers) we were greeted by a cockroach on the wall that wouldn’t go away. We let the staff know, and at least 5 people (at separate times) came out of the kitchen, looked at it, and went back into the kitchen. Nobody said a word about it. Needless to say, I’ll stick to the San Francisco location.

Absolutely blew me away! Great service and delicious food! All the meats were absolutely mouth watering. Our waiter James was a super star! Gave us an awesome wine suggestion that paired great with all the meats and was super attentive and very hospitable. Over all great experience.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had for a brazillian steakhouse. We sat down for 15 minutes. Just staring at our waters before we actually had to get the managers attention to get some starters. By the way the salad bar was lackluster. Was not well kept. So after talking to the manager for the starters, we finally got it. Cold. The bread? Not even fluffy. Wasnt fresh. You can literally wave it from how flimsy it was and it was awful… Was very greasy. Just not good. The polenta? Count on it to be very cold. I posted a second picture of another brazillian steakhouse’s (galpao gaucho) bread just for reference for you guys to see what you’re supposed to expect. Go there if you want authenticity. The fact that it took 20 minutes to actually get our first round of meat which looked cold and over cooked. We said absolutely not. We got up and told the manager we didnt eat but a little of the starters and one of us had a little bit of salad. And left. This is NOT high quality service and we were very disappointed. Nor good food worth 70 per person.

Brought my Mum and Aunt here for happy hour for the first time - get a seat outside, if you can for HH, unless you enjoy airport lounge sorta setting. The Caipirinhas were good although I thought the passionate is much better. The burger was over cooked but the polenta fries were on point as well as mochi bread. Would come back for the HH

The place of meat 🍖 the best place - the dérive is amazing 😻 people are so nice. All kind of meat 🥩 the best. For the buffet try to go slow and the salad is delicious. Ask for the Brazilian lemonade. The best drink ever. Coffee ☕️ and desert is also great. The espresso ☕️ is great 👍 the flan as a desert is delicious. Now for the meat. The selection is huge: filet mignon ☺️ and the lamb 🐑 sticks are delicious. The chicken 🍗 selection is great. I highly recommend this place. Thank you! Ask for Eunise Lopez the best manager of this restaurant

I couldn't take more meat photos as it was gone before I had the chance. This was such a fun way to try different types of meat from lamb, steak, pork and the salad bar had so many different options. They had waffles, fruit parfaits, soups, fruit and so much more to name. Great service and it was never too long before another person came around to offer something else to try.

We come here to celebrate the arrival of our cousin from Sweden. She definitely enjoys all the meat selection. We have the usual Market Table & Feijoada Bar, which have a huge selection of items. James, our servidor, was super attentive and nice. We really enjoy our time here. He even prep the dessert to welcome her. Greatly appreciate all the hospitality!

Great customer service, nice quite ambiance, and food is being served in high quality here especially the salad bar. If you like to try all of the meat galore, come with a big appetite. Otherwise, even with the salad bar itself comes with many fresh options.

Excellent place to go for dinner! My experience in the restaurant was very good. I made my reservation through Google and although the restaurant was full when I arrived, my table was available on time. I asked for the table in the outside patio and although the salad and accessories bar is inside, it was not difficult for me to move around the place. The meat was served in three different ways of cooking and that allowed to eat my meat "medium rare" and my wife "well-done" which is how we like it. The waiters are super attentive, even with full capacity they came to the table to offer us water, drinks and to collect the extra dirty dishes. When you arrive at the place, they explain the dynamics to you and that is appreciated if it is your first time. Other thing to mention is that there is no information about the parking, which could be appreciated if mentioned somewhere in the Google place description. We parked in a nearby parking lot which is big and secure. They were attentive to us all the time, a special thanks to our waiter James who served us courteously and offered us a dessert to celebrate our anniversary. If you are celebrating something or want to live the experience of some Brazilian swords, this is the right place for you. Although the price of the buffet is somewhat high, it is perfectly compensated by the services and the variety of food.

Fogo de Chão is reliably great and the Santanna Row location is no exception. As always, the pao de queijo is made with magic, the buffet is plentiful, and the meats are high quality and well cooked. The staff is wonderful as well. Special shout out to Michael who was fantastic! This location gets incredibly busy, so reservations are recommended.

Great food and atmosphere. Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. If you choose the buffet, there is tons of food. The Market Table is all very fresh. For the meats, I loved the lamb and sausages. The waitstaff were very attentive and always said something cheerful when they asked us if we needed anything. Our server James was especially good, and even noticed when one of our drinks hadn’t made it to our table. Would recommend!

High quality and variation of meats. Sausages, steaks, chicken wrapped in bacon, lamb chops etc. Tastes great, not overly sauced or seasoned. The snack/salad bar is good with fresh fruits and salads.

Quite the experience for sure! All you can eat heavenly steak! Includes mashed potatoes, warm cheese bread, crispy polenta, caramelized bananas, and salad bar (salads, vegetables, fruits, premium deli meats and cheeses, rice, beans). Of course you can opt out of the endless meat experience and grab a normal plate. They even serve Wagyu and Tomahawk Ancho. Huge wine selection, and a wide variety of spirits to drink. And don't forget dessert!!!! Excellent!

Great place for a date night. The restaurant definitely makes sure there are enough employees to keep your plate and cups full. Having been a waiter before in the restaurant business, I noticed how attentive every employee was. That alone is enough reason to come back, the awesome food is just the cherry on top. Well done.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of the service and the food. I have always heard of the Brazilian steak house on social media but have always wanted to eat at one. My good friend went here for her son’s bday and thought hubby and I spend our anniversary dinner here. OMG…. The service is non-stop if you don’t flip the sign on the table to pass out table. The pichana was AWESOME. That’s their signature steak. We tried just about every meat they’d served us and yet I fell in love with the pichana (pee-can-yah). Price: $$$ Quality: A+++++++++++ Service: A++++++++++++ SO looking forward to returning here. Told hubby next time I’m not going for the “experience” aka buffet, I’m getting the tomahawk steak. It’s $99 but it’s on my bucket list 😋😋😋

Went here for my birthday. Great Atmosphere. The Manager Jose went above and beyond to make sure our experience was good. Even replaced one of our drinks when the bartender used the wrong Vodka. Jason, our waiter was attentive and polite. Definitely will be a return customer.

The food was great, the service was good, and the atmosphere was nice... A great experience all around... The prices were good too... I ordered the Gaucho Lunch with a grilled á la carte of their lamb steaks and was glad I did... It's nice to find a favorite dish on your first visit to any establishment... Will definitely be back to try there dinner selection soon... The salad bar was so diverse in it's offerings... Make sure you experience it...

Food and atmosphere was amazing. I came to celebrate my birthday with family and friends and our server, Liam, had wonderful drink recommendations. Liam and Victor were exceptional and provided excellent table service. Between the amazing selection of food and friendly staff, I would definitely come back again.

The buffet bar was well stocked and the meats kept coming, as expected. Food was all good. Wine list is extensive. The tables are close together so it can get loud for group conversations. Bartender was alone so service was a little slow but she made good drinks (lemonade, dirty martinis). We had an issue with wine selection and the manager handled it with excellent customer service. There is public free parking directly behind the restaurant in the Olin garage. It has several levels and the lower level was pretty open.

We had a great experience at Fogo de Chao. We did the full experience, and it was well worth it for about $100. You get all types of steakhouse dishes, from sirloin steak, to bacon wrapped lamb, honey cheeses, and chicken thighs. I really enjoy having a wide selection of dishes, and this is the perfect place for that. There is also a large selection of wines and cocktails, and a full self service salad bar. Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice/causal dinner. Marie was our server, and even during a holiday rush, she was very accommodating and attentive.

Good Brazilian churrascaria buffet at the heart of San Jose. This is an all you can eat restaurant. It costs 50 dollars per person, weekend lunch time. Once you pay you can eat from the salad bar plus the meats that will come to be served at your table. I do recommend the picanha and the top sirloin. Try also feijoada, farofa, pão de queijo and palmitos. For beverages, try a Brazilian lemonade or a caipirinha. Kudos for our Brazilian waiter Junior, he was great and really took care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food. I loved the sausage the most and the lamb was the next favorite. All the meats were juicy and delicious. Be prepared to be flooded with barbeques when you come here! You need a large appetite to enjoy the full spread. Amazing staff too, James was very considerate and thoughtful of our dining experience!

Fairly good buffet with delicious bean and pork stew to put rice in. The cheese bread and fried bananas were alright. Also had fried yucca I wasn't a fan of. Limited selection of steak but good quality meats. 4 types of chicken (all but 1 were dry), chicken hearts (a tad salty and overcooked), 2 types of pork, and 4 types of beef (ny strip, house special, others). Good sausage. Expected to have grilled pineapple but alas! Was a birthday and they brought out a little desert w ice cream.

We came here for my son’s graduation. Everyone made him feel like the star of the day. Camila was so attentive and made sure nothing was missing. Came back continuously to check up on us. The food was so flavorful, like always. Recommend this place 100%. You must try the papaya cream.

We had market table - AYCE salad bar over lunch on a weekday. There are plenty of food you can choose from - 4 kinds of green salads, grilled vegetables, star fruits, pineapple, papaya, watermelon with parmesan cheese, many kind of pickled baby vegetables, chicken salad, and many other cold dishes. There is a soup with bacons. The bacons are sweet and crispy. It was so delicious when dipping in the soup! The stewed black beans are also very good. The table comes with three appetizers- bread with cheese flavored and mochi consistency, fried banana and corn bread stick, mashed potato. I was very impressed by how shoft and chewy the bread is when it was just out and warm. You may add 10 dollars for selection of meat. For me, the salad itself is more than enough!

My partner and I came for my birthday and our 10 year anniversary. It was our first time and it went great! A little overwhelming with meats coming at you at ones lol but it was worth it. The meats are tender and our waitress, Hailey, was great and answered all our questions. We also got to speak with Moses and he was a very outgoing gentlemen. For sure worth your money and you’ll leave very FULL.

Love the experience here at Fogo de Chao in Santana Row! Food and service were great. Christian and Victor both were so welcoming and kind. They checked in on my partner and I through our dinner to make sure we’re comfortable. Everyone was very friendly! Estephanie made us this tasty drink with great presentation/show!

Another fantastic experience at Fogo. Brought my twins for their 22nd birthday and they enjoyed it very much. The food was amazing and our waiter, James, was extremely attentive and constantly checked on us. Fogo is my go-to for especial occasion brunches.

My husband and I had a great experience for our first time here, will definitely come back. We tried the churrasco experience to try varieties of mouthwatering steaks and meat. Market table was great too which offers varieties of salads and fruits, we love it. Our server James was so helpful and explains everything we need to know.

We haven’t been here in forever and have missed this great place to enjoy a meal. The food is better than ever and the service always impeccable. Our server James was the best we’ve had here. Answered all questions, was on top of refills and cleaning off the table to make room for more delicious food. We always love coming here but this visit was exceptional. Thank you James for your attentiveness and kindness and thank you Fogo for the best brunch in the city.

This is a pretty nice place to have either lunch or dinner! We had James as our server. James is super friendly and quite professional with everything on the menu. He also made sure to help accommodate our special requests for the dishes. Also the atmosphere and surroundings are great! I would highly recommend the Wagyu ribeye, really deserves the price.

Wasn’t impressed for the cost. Food and experience were not very classy. The food was good but not excellent. There were just a couple meats I was wowed with. Salad bar seemed mediocre. What was also distasteful was there were plenty of flies- I believe fruit flies, both in the bathroom and a number of them at our table.

  • 2/5 dfj d. 2 years ago on Google
Not very good lunch experience today. Little gnats were flying near the table, we had to keep brushing them away. Then the server filling waters was wearing such a heavy fragrance that the smell ruined both our appetites each time he filled or walked past our table. Lastly, which is not the first I noticed that the women's restroom reeked of a bad odor like some kind of sewage backup smell. I think someone needs to address this issue. Food was good but all of these factors totally ruined and just made for a poor/bad experience. Both of us didn't enjoy our lunch.

I've been to this location quite a few times and have always left with a smile on my face!! The meat is very well prepared, the buffet was definitely better before covid, but it was still really good. The bread is incredible!!! The service is amazing! They will always accommodate you if you prefer the meat to be a bit more well done, or a little more rare. Not a single bad seat in the place, whether you sit inside or outside. I definitely suggest a reservation as they are always packed! Can't wait for the next visit!!
