I booked a reservation a month in advance for my wife’s birthday (this is the restaurant she wanted to try.) The restaurant is beautiful. We arrived early and sat at the bar. The service was excellent. Despite the lights being too bright, the ambiance was nice. After a short wait, a hostess came to find us. We were sat on the patio as requested, right under the majestic oak tree….perfect. We were still enjoying cocktails but I also brought a nice bottle of wine for our dinner. In a short time our server arrived. He mentioned his name and asked if we were ready to order some food. That’s it…no other information, fact finding, no mention of water (is it coming, would we like sparkling or still, etc.) I started to have a bad feeling about our server and I wanted this night to be perfect so I went in to speak with someone. I spoke to Matt, one of the managers and told him my reservations. Our server seemed nice, but perhaps would be more at home at a BJ’s. Matt assured me that this was one of their better servers and he would personally see to it that I was well taken care of. So, I went back to my table and made the most of it. The service was average. I can tell that wine service is not taught at this restaurant. I can also tell that the steps of service are not taught here. One isn’t born a great fine dining server, one is taught. Sadly, this is not fine dining. This is high prices, good food, and average service. I worked in fine dining many years. One thing all fine dining restaurants have in common is a manager that is watching like a hawk and working the room. A great manager will visit each table to ask how they are doing. A great manager will notice the details and take action to correct them. Things like: entrees being auctioned off to two other tables before finally arriving at our table, and then auctioned off again since apparently they don’t use seat numbers to input orders. Things like not clearing empty cocktail glasses, or not clearing the entire previous course before dropping entree plates on the table. Things like not setting the table for the next course….I shouldn’t have to ask for a steak knife to go with my Filet Mignon. A great manager would notice the shrimp tails on the floor next to us for most of our dinner (they may still be there.) The table behind us was a party of 6 or 8 celebrating something special. I heard one woman get up and ask for appetizer plates to go with their appetizers! Matt did not visit a single table on the patio, nor did any other manager. I will say the food was well prepared. My steak was the temperature I asked for and the coconut shrimp were good. The menu isn’t very creative and It’s not the type of place to change the menu daily (in fact they don’t run daily specials it seems.) Oddly enough, they don’t offer lobster either. Come here for an appetizer and a drink at the bar. Do not come here for a special occasion. Oh and hey owners, what is with that big ugly camera you stuck to the oak tree! It looks terrible.

The BEST restaurant in El Dorado Hills! I promise you, Sienna does not disappoint. The staff were super friendly from the moment we walked in the door and the service continued to be stellar throughout our dinner. Their food is absolutely delicious and came out very quick. The ambiance both inside the restaurant and outside near the fire create a pleasurable dinning experience that will make you feel relaxed and comfortable. If you are ever in the area, I HIGHLY recommend coming here!

Dinner was very pleasant in a beautiful location and a delightfully competent server Alicia. I ordered the French dip with a side salad instead of fries. It showed up with au jus and a light creamy horseradish sauce. I poured the creamy horseradish sauce on my salad, thinking that it was dressing for the salad that appeared undressed. Alicia showed up to the table with a smile and a giggle to let me know that it was for the prime rib dipp and the dressing was on the salad but appears very light. She assured me that I was not the first to do this. It turns out that it is interestingly edible. Chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk arrived for a light desert. The interior is lovely, the hostess was cheerfully pleasant, and Alicia was efficient with a glow of ease as she provided a distraction of our hectic lives, delivering a relaxing and enjoyable dinner.

Nice looking place, horrible food and terrible service! Be careful! They overcharge you for kid’s meal! Mac n cheese and bacon $25!

Wonderful ambience. Romantic place for a date or a girl's night. Our server was Sarah and she was fantastic. Great recommendations, upbeat, thoughtful, careful, and friendly. Appetizers, Entrees, and dessert were all beautifully plated and delicious! It's rare I give 5 stars and one of the reasons I didn't is because we've been to 5-star restaurants who will bring our leftovers to the back and box them nicely for us (It's a nice touch!). Highly recommend Sienna Restaurant.

This place rocks. Right next to Serrano in El Dorado Hills, it's in a quiet shopping center also next to the Bel Air grocery. Food and wine were great. Who has an 11$ Caymus wine that tastes great? Great service and recommendations. Thai chili Halibut, and Macadamia baked brie. Large cocktail lounge, and the dining room both have fireplaces. Very nice.

There should be a line out the door, but there isn't. This is one of the better places to eat in El Dorado Hills. The service is great, and the food, for this first timer, is fabulous. I had the Scallop Risotto with Butternut squash. It's a very hearty dish, and the savoriness combined with the sweetness of the butternut squash is perfect. One note to the chef, the butternut squash, had a texture that was almost as if it had been previously frozen. Watch that, but I'm sure when it's in season again, that won't be an issue. This is a place that is a must visit.

Wait was an hour on a Friday night. 4 star for the ambience but only 3 star for the food as it's mediocre and the portion was so tiny. My girlfriend and I ordered starter and pastas, neither of us was full. Not sure how that portion would be enough for guys. Server came a few times but never refilled our water...

I can say I was intrigued with the picture of a primerib in the elevator. So, I ordered it and wow. The price made me a bit hesitant at $45. Well I have to say it was worth it. A great cut, tender, juicy, well crusted, a bit under my medium-rare I ordered, but was yummy. Potatoes were nice and cheesy. The asparagus, I felt was a bit skimpy at only 3 very thin pieces. I will definitely be back on a Fri-Sun night for a slab of Prib.

The initial impression after getting to the restaurant wasn’t too good. We had to wait for 30-50min to get a table even though we had a reservation. And the hostess at the reception desk wasn’t too friendly. But once we got seated I enjoyed the experience. The servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. Loved the food, drinks and desserts.

The place is beautiful but upon entering on this rainy day there were two women smoking by the front door so you get a whiff of the cigarette smoke before you enter. Our waitress was nice but as we got our food we noticed missing items on our food. We tried to get our waitresses attention but instead of our waitress the other waitress noticed we needed help so she told our waitress of our dilemma. Only after 15 minutes we finally got the missing items and even though there was 4 other tables with customers we were able yo eat. Food was tasty and delicious. I like the atmosphere of the place. Gorgeous for the holidays if you like something fancy. The staff are nice. I found it funny that our waitress thought I was paying for the meal nit realizing that my 21 year old son makes the money and he paid it. She kept giving me the check and receipts. Never look down on people just because they like yo dress down when they are out and about. We still like to eat good.

Just a gorgeous restaurant perfectly situated to take advantage of the rolling El Dorado Hills countryside. The service was fine although drink refreshment was so slow, I went in search of the ice tea pitcher on my own -- and it was not, in the slightest, a crowded restaurant at the time. The food was fine too. Not brilliant, not innovative or especially interesting but, barring the opinions of genuine foodies, absolutely acceptable. I will, however, make the mild observation that my Caesar side salad -- available for the princely sum of $10 -- was incredibly small even for a side salad and was nearly without any flavour of any kind. Four stars for the wonderful setting -- Sienna's singular attraction.

First time we’ve tried Sienna and quite impressed. Small seating area, a bit noisy but very comfortable. The bar and outdoor patio is off to the side with a lot of seating for walk-ins. The menu is diverse, and the food excellent. Great presentation and preparation. The short rib was awesome. Great service. All around, a really wonderful experience

Everything was better than expected. We started with drinks at the bar that were exactly what we wanted. Then we moved to our table located in front of a stunning fire place that made a perfect ambience. Our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered more food than we could eat but everything was so good that we ate it all, no regrets. My favorite was the brussel sprouts which sounded amazing to begin with, but exceeded expectations. We will definitely be coming back soon, in fact I would drive up here from the bay area just to eat here again.

Oh my God the food is always good! Today I'm having a chicken avocado salad with a little extra chicken for my medical alert dog noodle on the side champagne vinaigrette incredibly good dressing I normally get the filet mignon they don't have it at lunch so I tried this and it's fantastic everything I've ordered here has been good!! The nut crusted brie is enough to make your mouth water

Enjoyed the Thai Chili Alaskan Halibut. My wife and her friend ordered the Rib Eye to split but “all out of Rib Eye’s”. Outdoor patio dining area appreciated and thanks for being dog friendly, our 11-pounder is well behaved. Only one server working all the patio tables but she did a fine job. Facilities are getting a little tired, time to replace some furnishings. Challenging time for restaurants, eh?
