There is a magical octopus here that watches over all, the staff prepping the fish, the staff taking orders and making dishes, and the customers who come to be nourished. You will understand if you just trust the cephalopod. Specific stuff I like/love: simple sea salt and chili oil on any protein over rice. You are also right to avoid rice and go island style, but I'm in the stage of life that says seasoned rice is always ok. Wasabi sauce is great, too. Protein thoughts: their scottish salmon is righteous. But yellowtail is such a great poke fish, way under appreciated in my view. If you are adventurous try the local farmed sturgeon, so unique and interesting. OK, that's all. Love my Fish Face Poke Bar

Poke-Ichi has it way better than these guys imo. I had a sudden craving for raw salmon/tuna fish and typed in "poke" on my Google maps to see this place pop up. Looking at the good reviews, I stopped by only to be disappointed. I ordered a medium poke bowl which costed $15.00 and comes with the 2 protein meats...but if you wanted anything extra besides that then you would need to pay extra (seaweed salad, etc). The prices for anything extra besides the meat/rice is listed on their wall. My bowl ended costing over $20 at the end with the sides toppings added. I don't know but I felt pretty bad paying this price for the amount of portion I received. Their house special sauce: Kimchi Shoyu also was alright. Maybe I've been spoiled by Poke-Ichi but they seem to have better quality ingredients than this place. I don't know if I'd drive back for Poke here but if I'm walking in the neighborhood then maybe I'd chime in.

This is THE place for Poke in town. Lots of possible combinations, great toppings, and incredibly refreshing! So glad they’ve remained open & available for take out during this time. The location is a huge plus as well! You can also grab a drink 😃🍻 🐟 -Anthonyxibarrax

I asked for 2 sauces; kazami wasabi and fried garlic .. got charged for them; drove all the way to Elk Grove just to find out I did not get what I paid for... I used to love coming here... Now I'm not so sure.

If you want more fish, order your poke "Hawaiian style" which is just fish and no rice/salad. Their happy hour prices for alcohol are good. I got an unfiltered sake 375 mL for $11. The cucumber salad was pretty mild in flavor (not super vinegary). It was a nice serving size. Good if you want to feel like you're getting a side salad/more veggies with your meal.

Fishface is my favorite poke place to eat real clean and fresh seafood. Poke bowls great variety of proteins and sides vegetables. The sauce blends our to die for all of them... 😋 yummy

If you like Poke this is your place. They have so many choices and they're so attentive to excellent preparation that I can't recommend one. I go back over and over because of that.

We arrived at Happy Hour. It was tough to say no to beer deals they had. Pole was done and ready by the time we finished ordering. We were able to capitalize on a chef special roll of the day. Some is to be said about finding a way to make you feel special as a customer and this place totally does just that. We sat down outside and had a fresh lil breeze that made it delightful. Maybe next time it’s a beer and a hand roll ;)

When I ordered a $17 sized bowl Classic Kohaku bowl, plus tax and tips, I was expecting a hearty sized portion. Instead what I got are probably barely a cup of white rice and a lot of "fillers". The ingredients are not commonly you see in a poke bowl (why carrots?). But yeah, you'll be better off buying something else.

Fish Face came recommended by a friend. She mentioned it is opened by the same owner from Kru (which I still need to stop by at). We ordered: 1 classic kohaku (half sushi rice/half salad) $21.50: tuna/scallop -large 3/4 pound 1 yuzu albacore (half sushi rice / half salad) $12 -small 1/4 pound 1 rainbow hand roll $5.75 1 spam and tamago musubi $4 The small is a bit too small, so value probably isn't there. Rainbow handroll was ok. I highly enjoyed the spam and tamago! Indoor dining is available. Not a bad spot to get your poke fix in! Street parking only.

Delicious. Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth fish with great flavor and choice in the sauces and mix-ins. The togarashi chili flakes add a really nice kick. Wish there were more protein options. A star is deducted as the portions are quite a bit smaller than other spots.

Really delicious, really fresh, and a variety of options. I was slightly disappointed in the amount I received for the price I paid, and what’s worse is that each topping costs extra. So you end up with a $15 costing more than $20 if you want more than just fish in there. It is really good though.

Super fresh, super delicious. My favorite poke place in Sacramento. Only downside is that the prices are a little high for the amount you get, but I'm happy to pay it since the quality is so good.
