Healthcare in our country is becoming a joke. If you value your life or your loved ones life, chose a better hospital that values their patients and has better qualified healthcare workers with a better work ethic. I am so disgusted with their treatment of my niece, or lack of treatment. May your negligence one day catch up to you! I 100% do not recommend this disgrace of a hospital. Save your time, money, yourself or your loved one and go somewhere else.

One of the Dr's placed me on a 5150 hold and I didn't threaten anyone, or threaten to harm myself, and I wasn't even raising my voice. I simply didn't agree with the Dr about my diagnosis because I was experiencing a lot of pain and told him that he was wrong and that I wanted a 2nd opinion. I was very upset after they placed this hold when I already wasn't feeling well. One of the nurses came by because I was making a fuss and offered me a pill so I took it. The next thing you know I am knocked out and wake up in a mental institution. Totally unfair. To be subject to a mental institution means that you have threatened someone, threatened to harm yourself, or don't have a home to go to and can't care for yourself. None of these reasons applied to me. I was still very sick in the mental hospital and they were giving me medication without proper diagnosis which caused me even more pain. Since i was in pain they used it as an excuse to keep me in there longer and say that I was mentally ill. They were horrible in there. If you're having any problems they just throw you in solitary confinement and assume that you're mental even if you ask for medical attention.

The billing department charged my credit card for the entire co-insurance amount while my son was in the NICU. Bills come from hospital, doctors(different company), testing centers(different companies), and pharmacies(different companies). The co-insurance amount is not suppose to be charged until after insurance has reviewed. They have not refunded my un-used "credit" despite multiple calls, and its been over 4-months.

My mom was scheduled for an operation and we took the valet parking, per instructions given by the nurse assigned to my mom's procedure. Once we came in through the valet entrance, we got her checked in at the outpatient surgery office. The receptionist, Alexa, was rude and was short with us, talking down to us as an invalid. Once the nurse came in and took my mom back for prep, I went ahead and went to the cafeteria. On my way back, I took the first floor entrance and was looking for stairs for the second floor. I came across security, and I was stopped. I was asked if I checked in. I told her how we came in from the valet parking and showed my ticket. They continued to instruct me how I needed to check in. They asked why I was here. I told them I was waiting for my mom for a procedure and how she was in operations. Despite this, I was told, in an unnecessary attitude, how I needed to follow the rules and I needed to check in and how I needed to put on their masks. I already had a mask but they said I needed to put theirs on. I just left and went back through the entrance I came in. Such an impatient and discourteous group of individuals who are in a position to be the face and the first impressions of this institution. If I ever needed medical help, I wouldn't come here.

Nurses telling people to arrive for surgery at 3:45 am when they won't even be there to take you back until 4:30/4:45am. Now we're sitting here paying for parking for no good reason. Security explaining they have this conversation every morning. Well do something different. Not to mention the general corruption of the healthcare system is pretty obvious in this place. Just eat right and stay outta the hospital, all they want is money.

Very corrupt hospital. Controlled by the the big pharma complex. I had severe covid. Told me nothing I can do. Told me to come back when I'm dying so they can but me on ventilator and rake in cash. I went down the street to Mercy hospital and they gave me Regeneron the next day. I will never go to Sutter hospital again.

First off, I just want to say that my birthing experience at Sutter was amazing, they have so many helpful resources and all the nurses are wonderful, especially the ones in NICU. If it weren't for two doctors or neonatologists that I've encountered in NICU, I would be leaving a 5-star review. However those two doctors are on another level. I declined an optional test (the details of the test are not important for the sake of this review) the day my baby was born and since declining it, I was harrassed every single day by phone call and confronted numerous times in person by Dr. Rosas and Dr. Manalo while visiting my son, in an attempt to bully me into changing my mind. I was confronted with aggression and anger, bullied, talked down to, had my intelligence questioned and was even laughed at when I tried to explain my beliefs. The harrassment continued daily until I finally had enough and told them to stop harrassing me and started filing complaints with Sutter and the Medical Board of CA. Being a first time mother, post partum, and dealing with the anxiety of having a baby in NICU, the last thing you need is to receive this inappropriate and unprofessional conduct from your healthcare professionals.

If I could give zero stars I definitely would. I went here to accompany my severely handicapped brother for a dental surgery. The pre op area was loud people were on their phones and nurses didn’t pay much attention to the patients whatsoever. The anesthesiologist Dr. Lee was horrible. The worse bedside manner I have ever encountered. My brother doesn’t understand what was happened since he is cordially blind and non verbal and he made a point to tell us that he was going to have to hold him down to place his IV. In recovery, my brother woke up in tears and was in obvious distress from too much sedation. It took him an hour and a half to finally get his wits about him. To make matters worse in recovery he made a point to come up to me and told me had five people hold him down to place his IV. The very next day my brothers entire hand is severely bruised most likely from malpractice. Highly do not recommend this facility to anyone!

STAY AWAY!! Don’t take your child there unless you want staff to call CPS under lies just to cover up their negligence. If you don’t agree with their diagnosis or treatment and question them they will make sure you lose everything, including your child. make sure you document every thing and get a second opinion before you let them cut you open😡😡😡😡

Normally really good and really fast. I have been waiting for 8 hours just to get a pain Shot. They did X-rays on me after me telling them that X-rays don’t show my issues mris do and I just had one a few months ago. I’m sitting here in pain and no help. I have asked the nurse and he said yeah u have pain meds persceibed let me see what’s going on and that was a half hour ago. I normally give this play 4 to 5 stars but today is horrible

This is the worst hospital that I habe ever been to. Danielle the "charge nurse" is very abusive to the patients. She called the police on me twice because I didn't want to jump for her. She should not be in the position of power. My husband was in serious condition and she kicked me out of the hospital. I took my husband to another hospital that treated us much better He will be having surgery this morning. That happened on July 29th. Don't take your family there.

I am still disappointed. My 13 year old son pop his hip out joint so he had to get emergency surgery. My baby has not ate all day. After surgery they said he can eat. So I said grilled chicken and salad. This is what they brought a child who has not ate all day. Lady try tell me the ice cream is good. I said how the heck is sugar good for a child who hasn't ate all day. Come on. . It's sad people with these credentials really don't help they see dollar signs. .

We need better healthcare professionals! The RN made me feel extremely uncomfortable like I had a deadly plague that was infecting the er room . I asked to speak with someone in charge they told me they are the ones in charge !! They don’t know how to treat homeless people or individuals that’s been used drugs . We need better healthcare professionals

I really hate Sutter Hospital, theres nothing but very cold uncaring people that work here. Every time I went to Sutter Hospital by ambulance because of kidney stone infections. I was treated like yesterday's garbage, & always discharged before they were able to actually find out what the problem was.

I was hospitalized Sept 19-21on the 6th floor after surgery. It was my first time at any Sutter Hospital and it was a great experience, under the circumstances. Everyone that was involved in my care was amazing! I was hospitalized for 6 days at another hospital in Sacramento County 2 years ago, not affiliated with Sutter and I noticed many differences, even the food was great at Sutter. I also had Sutter Home Care in September and October with visiting RNs and Physical Therapists. The Home Care providers were all amazing and Megan Bentley was my main Physical Therapist. I appreciate everyone who gave me such excellent care. Thank you.

I've had good experiences here. I've had bad experiences here. The one thing consistently bad though is the parking situation. Over the last two years, it's gotten progressively worse. The garage directly across the street is pointless. Much to small & the spaces were meant for tiny circus cars. There's an 8 level garage a few blocks away but that's always full as well. C'mon Sutter & City of Sacramento. We need parking!!!

Absolutely AMAZING NICU! Everyone is so kind, understanding, comforting and supportive. They genuinely care about the children. The care for the babies phenomenally! It's a privilege to have these amazing nurses during this difficult time.

The ER portion of the hospital was good. They seemed to actually care , even though I felt more cared for by the nurses than the doctor. He was kinda laughing at my situation and basically called me overdramatic. I went in due to a bad headache, nausea, dizziness and some other concerning symptoms. They basically gave me fluids and medicine and told me I was dehydrated even though I drink purely water all the time. That was not even 24 hrs ago and my headache is still there just not as bad. Not sure if what they did even helped 🤷‍♀️

I gave birth June 25 2005 and august 22 2013. When it was still at the old location. I don't remember much from my 1st one except I made animals noises while they were sewing me up. My second one. I had 2 or 3 nurses. I have bad anxiety. I remember this one nurse she was so sweet. She walked in on me holding my baby while trying to pee and she held her for me. And got me more meds cuz I just had a c section n was still in so much pain cuz I was too afraid to ask. I really wish I remembered her name. She made me so happy that it felt like someone cared about my well-being then

My wife went to the ER with shortness of breath, dizziness, and a recent diagnosis of pulmonary embolism from a previous hospital stay. 3 hours to wait for a room, during which time she started coughing up blood into her mask. We told the lobby nurses this who didn’t care at all. When she finally got to a room the ER doctor didn’t listen to our concerns and didn’t care about her obvious pain. They tried to give her Tylenol for coughing up blood and a pulmonary embolism. Don’t come here.

For my first ER experience ever it wasn’t bad at all. The place is decently clean. The nurse Melissa was very nice and helpful as well doctor Vang. But the best person was the Ultrasound Intern Wendy! You guys better hire her. She made my experience more bearable. All around this place isn’t that bad besides the really dirty bathroom. The front desk ladies were also kind but could improve on organization. Some people sat around waiting for results that already came in and they just didn’t notify them. Regardless, these healthcare professionals get a thumbs up from me 👍🏻 thank you
