I’ve just about worn myself out writing positive reviews on various websites, since my last stay at the Fort Sutter Hilton Hotel. My wife and I stayed for 14 nights in all, and it was literally day by day, as we had a critically ill son at the Sutter Medical Center across the street. Steven, the hotel manager, was very compassionate and offered to assist us in any way possible to help accommodate us in this difficult time. I cannot say enough positive things about how we were treated during our stay by everyone, from Steven,to the front desk personnel, to the housekeepers, and the servers and bartenders. I write many reviews following our travels, but there are not enough stars in the universe to rate the people that make up the staff at this fine Hilton property. 5 stars plus 100 more. Steven, you should be proud!!

So the Hotel is great looking and the staff are nice and the food was amazing. The only issue I had was parking, while I do enjoy valet parking at a nice hotel this one had none. They do have a parking garage next door which is okay, but they don't validate the parking for you, so that's a negative for me. I would say overall this is a nice place to stay but not for me again, as I'm used to a few more extras when I travel and that's just me not everyone.

Nice, clean hotel and a delicious breakfast. If safety and privacy is your concern then this is not a place to stay. A staff member entered my room without permission. The hotel policy here is that no one will enter your room unless you request service. I was in my room working, when the door opened. When the staff member realized someone was in the room he scurried away down the hallway. He did not stop until I had to yell down and asked what happened? I called down to the front desk and the manager said they were sorry because of a “system issue.” I’m glad I was not with my traveling with my family. I would be highly concerned staying here due to safety and privacy. Lock your doors, put the chair up against the door and hope no one enters because of a system issue. My last day here I was waking up every hour to ensure I had the latch on! Also please stop requesting me on social media. I put a complaint into headquarters and now you are harassing me. It’s really creepy. Note I have not put names of employees out of respect and privacy.

Spur of the moment trip and got a beautiful corner room. Super clean rooms, friendly & accessible spaces, and Pro-Black staff who made me and my partner feel welcomed when we needed it most -- especially nourishing for folks like us. Will stay here again!

Beautiful new boutique hotel in mid town Sacramento. Restaurant on site. Front staff service is top notch. Chad is a true professional. Thank you for the stay. I will be back.

Rooms were clean. Restaurant, bar, breakfest all top notch. When checking in, receptionist seemed done with the service industry and made it known. In any case, if you don't expect positive interactions at the front desk, a superb hotel.

Amazing staff, restaurants, and ambiance. Tasha and Tanya at the front desk were absolutely incredible and hospitable. I recently stayed here while breastfeeding my infant daughter and they did a wonderful job accommodating my request for a fridge so I could pump. I owe Tanya a huge thank you and shout out for coordinating this for us. The front desk staff is top notch and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The food was excellent and the service at Four Palms was prompt and attentive. I’m so glad we had a very comfortable stay and great experience.

This was an amazing find and experience. From the pleasant and helpful receptionists, to the beautiful scent throughout the property, and the spotless rooms were really well designed. I even found a new favorite dish at their restaurant, the Red Curry Thai with Chicken, so will have revisit just for that! Thanks so much for my delightfully perfect stay! While on my way to the hotel, I called ahead to them know that I was still on my way since it was so late, so they would know to hold my reservation open. Tanya, the receptionist, answered and made sure that when I arrived, that I would be well taken care of so all I needed to do was get my key and go straight to bed. Thank you for being such a value add to the establishment, Tanya!

Hosts:Jarvis, Sosa; Housekeeping: Dominica; and Cafe Bernardo: Michael, all went above above during our stay making it a personalized experience during my father's chemo treatment. Every morning we were greeted by Jarvis and upon return from chemo we were asked how treatment went. Sosa in the evening always asked what he can do to help in anyway to make our stay more comfortable. Dominica in housekeeping went above and beyond keeping our room clean and sanitized. Michael from Cafe Bernardo every morning always greeted us with a smile and asked my father how he was feeling. It really brighten my father's spirits. This customer service experience will be remembered. Thank you for making it easier for my family during this difficult time.

I loved my stay at the Fort Sutter Hotel last week. I was in town for work and appreciated the location within walking distance of tons of restaurants and cafes in midtown Sacramento, the ease of checkin and friendly welcome walking into the building, the beautiful and inviting lobby and bar, my clean and comfortable room, the 24-hour fitness center, and the delicious food offerings (I highly recommend the grilled Salmon salad). There’s easy parking at a garage right next door with a fixed day rate and the building is well insulated from the street noises (I’m a light sleeper and wasn’t woken up once). I honestly don’t believe the images on the Hilton website do this bright, classy but modern hotel justice. I definitely found the place where I will be staying every time I return to Sacramento.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel for the week while traveling for business. I had a late check-in and was able to communicate my arrival time with staff. My room was absolutely beautiful, the in room products are clean and amazing. Housekeeping did a wonderful job while I was at work and I always came back to a clean room and a well made bed. Their front desk staff were warm and friendly and made themselves available to answer any questions I had. The bar in the hotel was both chic and inviting. My favorite drink was the bees knees. This hotel was beautiful and I highly recommend it for business or leisure.

Made reservations for accessibility room with shower, no tub. There was only one grab bar, I spoke to the night manager and he said “All rooms have one grab bar, including the rolling showers.” When I exited the shower, I had to hold on to the sink faucet and the shower door so I didn’t trip stepping out. One grab bar in the shower isn’t an accessibility bathroom. There wasn’t even a refrigerator, not worth it.

Great hotel, centrally located. I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. The night staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The decor was newer and still nice. Only negative thing I could say, it's across the street from a vehicle maintenance yard. Noises and light late into the night. Room had decent amount of light bleed too. If you are a light sleeper, bring a white noise generator or ear plugs.

We had such an amazing stay. The hotel has such a unique decor and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the local items they had for sale at the front desk. The hotel was clean and safe. The room was cozy and she sheets were soooo soft. Parking was convenient and covered. $10 neighboring garage was great! I loved the latte and the chilaquiles at Cafe Bernardo! the airside potion had a fire and a movie was playing in the evening. We were able to enjoy that the second evening after a rainy day. Overall, Great stay!

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, rooms are nice (beds are great!) and the bar is perfect! (Great drinks and great bartenders) My only thoughts are no parking you can bill to the room and the restaurant is "counter service" (albeit, the food is great!) I will be back!

So much to say about this hotel! All positive! Great location, comfortable beds, quiet neighbors, housekeeping staff attentive! The attached restaurant and bar had exceptional food and service. As far parking is concerned, there is a parking structure next to the hotel that charges $18 per day but we found on street parking worked be for us because there is no parking fee at the meter from 6pm until 8am Monday through Saturday. We chose that option because we would have been in and out of the parking lot and there would have been a charge each time we came and went. The only downside we're the bed pillows which were way too soft for comfort. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay and plan to go back soon.

I stay here often and I have to recognize both Tanya and Julian. I enjoy this hotel and everything about it and the service is exceptional. Tanya is by far one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met (even at 5 am), she will go out of her way to help you with anything you need.

Nice super clean room with a very good restaurant on site. We were in a pinch from a failed Air BnB attempt and the staff at The Fort Sutter Hotel got us an upgraded room and dinner meal credit. We were so happy and thankful after a full day ordeal. I cannot say enough on how much the staff made us feel welcome. We had a really nice dinner and good sleep.

Very central location to all of the main attractions Sacramento has to offer. Quiet and beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was friendly and was really a joy to converse with. The bar in the lobby and resturant on the other end of hotel were an added plus! Found our stay when in Sac!

Worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. I made a reservation a few weeks ago so while my husband is in surgery I could have breakfast and a nap. We live out of town, I'm disabled, and it's my only way of getting through the wait. I pre-registered from home so I wouldn't have to do it up on arrival at 0545...when the desk usually isn't up to snuff yet. I get here. No Valet. The front door has No Doorman! The front door is locked. I finally knock on the glass door long enough that the lady at the desk took her time and nearly denied me access. I told her I'm in room 210. I pre-registered and want to go to my room. She detains me at the front desk, complains that Check-in is at 3pm. I repeated my previous statement....she insisted on my confirmation number...then forced a card key on me and finally allowed me to go to my room. I'm nearly 60 with visible mobility issues. I'm not happy with this place at all. The room had issues too, but this is already winded.

Very nice place to stay especially if having a restaurant and lounge on site helps makes things easier. Room was very nice and if you get east side of building you have good views. Well 5th floor west side is fine too. The restaurant was really good. Best sweet potatoe fries I've had in many years. The bar has a few tvs for sports and stays pretty busy being in the area it is. Nice outside seating and a fireplace seating in front lobby. Only fault is just a pet peeve but bathrooms have no exhaust fans.

This hotel called me just after 1PM with no warning that I was being charged $50 for a late checkout. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and never had this happen to me. How about a warning/courtesy phone call beforehand? They also charged me $8 for a bottle and f water that was in the room. I asked for an exception to the late checkout fee but they refused. I was out within 10 minutes of the call but they did not seem to care. Rude and inconsiderate staff.

Grace was our bartender the fist night we stayed. She accidently made a mistake and did not serve my GF her drink because she had a large party and thought that drink was for that party. I admit, I was a little rude when I corrected her mistake. HOWEVER, Grace was VERY processional and was very accommodating and asked us multiple times if we were ok. The next morning on Sunday we had a great experience as well. This is a great hotel with a VERY professional and welcoming atmosphere. I never give 5 stars. This definitely deserves it. GREAT HOTEL, GREAT STAFF!! I will definitely stay here every time I am in Sacramento. Hands down!

The best hotel experience possible. Our unexpectedly long stay was a master class in hospitality. All needs and desires were quickly provided by the most attentive staff we've ever experienced. The entire hotel is gorgeous and clean. The room was quiet, the beds are extremely comfortable, and we loved the TV/streaming setup. Blackout curtains, powerful AC, and nice views of Midtown gave us every comfort of home. The location is perfect for visiting Sutter Hospital, with only a block and a half walk to the entrance. A bunch of great restaurants, groceries, and services are also within a few blocks. Parking can seem tricky in Midtown, but the staff gave good advice. Without leaving the building, you have a world class bar, The Four Palms, plus one of the best restaurants in the city: Café Bernardo. Room service is fast and affordable. Every floor has either an ice machine or filtered water. The comfortable lobby has a peaceful ambience and a gas fireplace for cooler nights. The vigilant and personable security unit made us feel completely safe at all times. The front desk staff is a finely-tuned team of experts. Jash, Christina, Alexis, and the other desk agents made us feel like the most important guests they had. The housekeeping and maintenance teams were equally accommodating, professional, and generous. Without exaggeration, the service here is better than any luxury resort. Doubtlessly the finest hotel in Midtown. We'll never stay anywhere else.

The atmosphere is pristine and upbrow; the Cafe’ Bernardo is superb with a gourmet menu begging a trip from out of town just to eat. The top draw, however, is the people: we had Tonya literally roll out the red carpet for my wife and I. The location catty-corner from Sutter hospital enabled my mobility-challenged wife to easily stroll to our room. It’s a three-star hotel: but it’s a five in my book!

Very nice hotel. No pool but that’s okay. Bar area is very trendy. Girl at the front desk named Taylor was very courteous and organized. I appreciate good staff and she made my stay effortless and even provided me with a phone charger when I suddenly released that I had forgot to bring one.

I stayed at the hotel while a relative was in the nearby hospital recovering from a stroke. It was a stressful event, but immediately upon checking-in, the staff were friendly, caring, positive, and made sure there were no problems with checking-in. The room was not quite ready and staff provided a food and beverage coupon so I would not have to sit around the lobby waiting for the room to be ready. It only took a few minutes for the room to be ready, and the room was clean and pleasant. Because of the uncertainty of the release of my relative from the hospital, I explained I was not sure when I would be checking-out. The staff assured me there would be a room available if I needed to extend my stay. In fact I did need to extend my stay and the same room was made available for me. For convenience, I ate in the restaurant next to the lobby in the hotel for my meals. The staff there was also friendly and positive with lots of smiles, and the food was excellent. All of this friendliness helped with reducing the stress of my stay. I would again stay here even if I didn't need to be in close proximity to the hospital. A special thanks to the hotel and restaurant staff.

This was the perfect hotel to stay at while visiting a family member at Sutter Medical across the street. Discounted rates are available; just tell the hotel you're visiting the hospital. The location is super convenient, since the main entrance to the hospital is literally a block away. All the staff, from the reservation office and front desk to the restaurant and cafe, were quite friendly and understanding when they realized why we were staying at that hotel. The cafe and restaurant serve delicious food. I was there only for breakfast, but they seem to have options for lunch and dinner, along with drinks at the bar. In fact, many people seem to visit the cafe and restaurant even if they're not guests at the hotel. The ambiance is quite trendy and welcoming. I'd love to come back to Sacramento someday to see the neighborhood again.
