Our very 1st family trip during Spring Break was super enjoyable. Great views all around and the fresh air is a major plus. All of the staff we engaged with were very friendly and welcoming before and during the visit day. Super easy drive from Downtown Victoria for this one and was worth our time!
I honestly thought this would be lame. There are lookouts nearby with similar views for free... yet I ended up upgrading to a yearly pass! They've really done a nice job creating a long but fully-accessible and entertaining walk to get to the main tower. The tower itself is a low-incline spiral ramp - lots of strollers and wheelchair users each time I have gone. The net at the top was a fun place to people-watch. The (age and height restricted) slide was super fun on the way down, too! There's a food stand, bathroom, fire pit, and playground at the base. They have a scavenger hunt trail through the woods for an alternative (the only thing not accessible) route back at the end. The gift shop stays open late for stragglers. I've already visited enough to make the pass worth it!
This was a lovely experience we were visiting from out of town during the winter months and that’s probably why there wasn’t much of a line or many people around because it was pretty cold out. All the staff were incredibly helpful and we asked a handful of questions about the area and the attraction. It was a bit more of a walk than I thought to get to the structure I thought it would be closer to the building and parking lot but it took us at a very slow pace about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the structure. The walk to the structure is nice on a wooden bridge like structure path and there are random animals made out of wooden twigs hit along the path with signs for viewing. The structure in the area around it is very nice and looked pretty well kept while we were there. There was a nice viewpoint and fire pits and chairs at the base. I appreciate that walking up the structure the whole thing is a ramp so it is ADA friendly And the top was pretty nice with the different Information panels and the net you could lay on plus they had benches at the top. The only downside is I did go down the slide and I did read all the signs there but the person did not instruct me properly to lay my head down touching on the slide as well and the force of the slide snapped my head back all the way I did end up getting a kind of whiplash neck pain when I reached the bottom. Other than that I would do it again but I do agree it is a bit overpriced for what you get. I would’ve preferred to pay about $20 or $25 a person.
What an adventure to the Malahat Skywalk. The views were spectacular. The walk through the arbutus forest was beautiful with Indigenous driftwood art throughout. Highly recommend visiting this attraction.
What a fun way to spend a couple of hours! My husband and I went here, on our way from Victoria to Tofino. The staff were all so friendly and the climb to the top was so gradual that it wasn't difficult at all. We loved the wooden animals that were in the trees on the short walk to the tower. The view at the top of the tower was incredible and my husband was brave enough to stand on the netting. We opted to take the slide down instead of walking and that was really fun! We then had a hot dog and drink at the bottom before setting off to Tofino. We 100% would recommend this experience and would happily do it again if we get the chance.
The **Malahat SkyWalk** is a fantastic family-friendly attraction with stunning views and fun activities for kids. The spiral walkway and treetop adventure are engaging yet safe, while the giant slide and scavenger hunts keep little ones entertained. The panoramic vistas of mountains and ocean from the tower are breathtaking. The only downside is that it can get busy on weekends, so visiting on a weekday is ideal. Overall, it’s a must-visit for families looking for a mix of nature, adventure, and unforgettable scenery! 🌲🌄
This place is so cool. We came on a foggy day, but surprisingly it was pretty clear at the Skywalk. It wasn’t crowded and everyone was so nice and friendly. You have to try the slide! It’s definitely worth the money. I highly recommend it.
It's a nice idea, there's a beautiful view and the slide going down is fun. People are nice, it's a first rate operation. It's just a little expensive. We went in November and be prepared for winds at the top, dress warmly. We enjoyed the stop, it's pretty getting up high, it's just a lot of money for the experience.
