Best bakery on the island! We live close by and we feel so grateful it’s a part of our regular lives. Everything is delicious. Some of our regular purchases are the cheesy pretzels, cinnamon buns, chocolate cookies and any of their breads. We bought a baguette here once and ate the whole thing before we got home. The cinnamon buns are my favourite I’ve tried anywhere on the island, and I’ve compared quite a few! Staff are always friendly and helpful too! The price of items reflects their quality, which is reliably top-notch. Meaning, everything here is worth the price! I will always recommend this place :) Just one note to make sure you have cash or Interac on you, I’ve seen some customers get upset when they can’t use their credit card, so just something to be aware of.
Just go! Some of the most amazing bread I've ever tasted, made with gut friendly digestible heritage grains, and their regular bread is great too!! I've tried their cookies too and though I find them a bit too sugary for me, give them a shot and decide for yourself. I live in Nanaimo but I make sure to drop by any chance I'm passing by or even as close as Duncan
Lovely location & super friendly staff. Tried the cinnamon buns & Pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat was delicious and decadent & flakey -5 star. The cinnamon buns were disappointing they looked not cooked enough and the icing didn’t taste like cream cheese was it a weird batch? May 23 - update/edit Thanks for the reply Abe and yes I do have one cinnamon bun that we froze and I can bring back to check. We had gotten them on Mother's day for a treat. I'll send message via website as suggested.
True grain actually sets the standard for baked goods. Indeed, it is in a league of its own with all its ancient and heritage grains, non gmo and organic everything. The place is literally and actually amazing. The staff on top of all this is consistently friendly. I love it there and go at every opportunity.
A lovely local bakery focused on wonderful baked goods production using natural/simple ingredients. Not really any seating, but the cafe next door is great for that. Some of the best products sell out, and there is always a bit of a lineup to wait through… but worth it and feels the way a bakery should!
I swear everything is made with pure Angel tears. Honestly the best granola in the history of ever. The energy bars melt in your mouth and have an explosive nutty buttery flavor to die for. 1000% my go to bakery for life!
Friendly service and a huge selection of stone ground flours . Get the focaccia and a loaf of sourdough
What a delightful varied selection of baked goods. We bought some tasty buns and red fife ginger cookies. Yummy! Service was with a smile and very efficient.
