We had such a fun time this past August taking a house boat out for a couple of days. Such a great way to spend time with family or friends waking up on the water each day. Sproat lake is beautiful and exploring it on a house boat is such a fun way to see the whole lake!

We took a houseboat out for the first time this past weekend. The check in process was seamless, the boat was clean and ready for us and the staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was a great experience, I highly recommend it. The kids had a blast and the beaches were amazing. Our boat was spacious enough to fit our 6 adults and 9 children comfortably.

I’ve stayed here twice and each time has been an amazing experience! The food and drink are top notch and Sproat lake is an amazing spot for swimming paddle boarding and anything outdoors. The house boats are awesome and super fun to sail around the lake on, jump off the side into the water or use the slide. They have a hot tub that fills with the lake water, what a treat! Highly recommend this as a lovely getaway, to feel refreshed and relaxed.

We had an awesome night at Fish and Duck! They have it all; beautiful lake perfect for swimming, pub full of cold beers and tasty food, and the owner is a great and friendly host. We’ll be back for sure.

Wow! What an escape! Vancouver Island’s best kept secret. Warm lake water and hot tubs. I live in Ucluelet and we made it a staycation getaway. First, the pub overlooks the lake. Make sure you get there early to eat before you leave. Get take out for the boat. Everything is good. The houseboats are enormous. They have everything and more. The boat cruises effortlessly as you venture the giant unknown Sprout Lake! We found the perfect spot where the boat is landed on shore and the back of the boat is in 30+ feet of water to dive into. The water was warm! Swim at night warm. The hot tub!!! The hot tub is as hot as you choose and give 360 views of your parking spot. Will book every year. The staff and owners are AMAZING! Enjoy! Really fun experience and boat was spacious for 2 families. They allow 15 people, but I wouldn’t recommend that. Not as many beaches to park for the evening as we thought but we went during the week so it was quiet. Apparently, the weekends are crazy. I would return.
