Best August escape for us a little off the map but close enough to town when you need it. Beautiful clean river camping.
Always my go to for a relaxing hike and great views! I would recommend anywhere along the river to anyone, it can sometimes get crowded in certain spots, however if you know the best spots you can get around this.
Beautiful river along the campground. Campground is good and rangers are very nice. Toilets are outhouses and there are no showers. No cell reception at the campsite. Would reccomend to go with family and friends who have some experience camping.
Trail is long enough to do as a multiday hike but there is no camping and no support for hikers anywhere along the way. The trail is flat and easy but scenery is very constant, so not all that interesting.
Very peaceful campground. Loved the filtered light.
Had fun swimming in the river. Would definitely go again. Nice area to go walking or bring a dog good place for a picnic. picnic benches are nice and spread out. Good sun projection. Awesome place to chill. Great place to bring a family or some friends.
A great place to go for fishing or hiking, with the extensive trail system you can always find a trail to hike, some are very easy walking and some are more difficult most a well marked to let you know the level a difficulty, and lots of picnic tables, throughout the park, if you wish to enjoy a meal in the wonderful nature this area has to offer.
Pit toilets were clean. Lots of good walks to go on.
Great section of whitewater with some good pools for swimming and relaxing. Enter the water at your own risk there is always hazards downstream and currents flowing.
A nice place to visit. The BIG downfall is the really poor map system. Only some trails are listed, even though there's signs labeling then, once you stumble across one. Also, misleading signs take you off the quick and easy path and divert you on a longer and much more treacherous route.
Such a wonderful place for a walk or a light hike. Area is accessible for anyone regardless of your physical abilities. There's a cool picnic area and river access close by. Everytime I've come here I see smiling children and happy families. Nothing could be better
Very beautiful place to be, also great for a quick swim. Warning: it’s a little slippery on the rocks if you’re looking to go for a dip. The river is lovely in temperature and environment.
Beautiful walk through the forest. Easy 1km to the cowichan River bed. Scenic hike with multiple trails that branch off to larger sections of the provinpark. Clean washrooms, playground, picnic tables and bike trails.
Great clean swimmable river with pleasant 7 km loop at Skutz Falls.
A shallow lake that is suitable for small children. Lovely place. It's fun to enter the lake on a hot day. There is a picnic area on site. Recommended.
