We came all the way out here (a bit out of the way from the usual touristy area) because I have an obsession with paella and i just say I was disappointed with the food. Over priced for the quantity and quality. We ordered a seafood paella for 2 people and shared it between 3. You will be charged for bread as you are seated along with some olives and appetizer (3 small pieces per table of anchovies, tomatoe and toasted bread). For this you will be charged €2.75..if I remember correctly ... for each person (tell them you don't want if you don't want to be charged extra) but for this restaurant it was more worth it as it includes more stuff (other restaurants are just bread only) and not to mention you get a sweet wine and dried fruit at the end to finish off your meal (they served our one a bit late...so wait a little if they don't serve it or just tell them). So the seafood paella was a bit too soggy and the seafood was not top quality...no clams and seafood not the freshest? It had lots of little shrimp with shell so it was hard to eat or just had to eat it with the shell on . Plenty of squid which was good, mussels were ok (too less only 5) and the langoustine was the biggest disappointment - meat was mushy ...sign that it's not fresh. Overall, decor was nice and in a good location next to park. People said you had to dress super nice and ppl were dressed better there ...but still a lot of them wore jeans...we.did not dress the best...Oh well it didn't bother us. Waiters were attentive and it was nicer than other paella I had during my trip but much more expensive. So personally I wouldn't go back a second time

The rice was crunchy at parts and hard at others. The seafood itself was mushy. Incredibly Overpriced. Charged 50 (25 each for me and my partner to share) and then 6 for two pieces of bread they put in our table without asking. 10/10 would not recommend, we had better paella today for 8 euro at a market. Don’t waste your time or money!

I do NOT recommend. Honestly the worst paella I’ve ever had, and incredibly overpriced. Even the restaurants in the most touristy areas of Madrid have paella that is literally half the price (and better). The paella hardly had any seafood. The seafood that was in them was dry and old tasting. The same goes for the Valencia style meat paella. The rice was incredibly over cooked and slightly burnt on top. I believe they likely pre-cooked these dishes (maybe not even the day they serve it) and reheat it. I felt sick after eating here. The restaurant smells musty and it is dusty and unclean. It was nearly empty during prime time. There were only two other tables with patrons who were not local.

Fantastic authentic feel to the restaurant. Serving many Spanish dishes with a variety of paellas on offer. Portion sizes were perhaps a bit small but perhaps because I couldn't get enough!

Worst seafood I have ever had. Went in for a late lunch/early dinner. They were very proud of being open the whole day and being available for customers, yet our food was the worst yet. The octopus and potatoes straight from the can…where’s the originality? We weren’t told anything about the bread and olives not being complementary. The waiter brought the bread out without us even requesting it. The bread was cold and old…definitely not fresh; and the olives were chewy. The paella….hard and chewy rice. The waiter brought the paella holding it as if it had just came out of the heat and flames telling me to be careful and handle with care. The paella was definitely old and all they did was warm it up. Lacked taste and the container was cold within 2 minutes. Disrespectful, misleading, and deceiving establishment. I honestly don’t understand how it has come to having such good rating. So far my worst experience here in Madrid. Will surely not recommend

The most disappointing meal we’ve had in a very long time, anywhere. We came for the paella and it was simply awful, fishy smelling and tasting it was inedible. The lamb chops were mostly fat and not cooked properly and the flan was grainy. The only edible decent thing on the menu was the white anchovies. Oh and mid meal a bug walked across our table. Skip it. There are a million better places to go in Madrid.

Best Paella in Madrid. Classic style restaurant, in Madrid’s top location, Paseo Pintor Rosales, in front of Parque del Oeste. Access through stairs to the upper floor where the restaurant is located. Wooden walls and Classic design. Great service with english speaking staff. Best seafood and rices with a lot of different choices. Fair prices, but not cheap. Worth a visit if looking for Paella in Madrid. They have an enormous private area for bigger groups or special celebrations. Can only recommend this place.

Typical Hispanic food with few Mediterranean influences. Has to be in your shortlist for restaurants.

Okay paella, mediocre salad for its price (23EUR). Really bad service. 1) they charged 3EUR for the bread that is on EVERY TABLE before guests sat in. They did not inform us until we found it on the bill. 2) the guests sitting next table asked the waiter to take away the bread once they saw we complained. The waiter gave me an extremely fierce and horrifying look. 3) 10% service charge included in the price but not really any service. 4) don’t understand why the minimum order for any paella is 2 portions. Just too much for 2 people, and I hate wasting food. We came here for the reputation but were very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Ripped off!! They put the bread in your table while you are sitting down without telling you is €3 per person. Food wasn’t great and not worth the price. If you want paella is 25 per person, is not possible to order just for 1 person, well you can but pay for 2 €50…

This is a top place in Madrid for having the traditional Paella. The location is aside from the busy and crowded area, and from the street the place might mislead, however when going inside the huge The place ball room like reveals. The famous dish takes 30 minutes to be ready, so be strong and try skipping the served bread. The prices are quite high - need to try this once, defintally worth it.

We came here because they had the best paella. The paella was super good until I found a shard of glass in my food…. I asked to speak to the manager and they didn’t even bring him out. They came and have me overly sweet dried fruit to compensate for the glass. I’m sorry but that part of dinner just ruined my experience. The service was good and drinks were way too strong for my liking.

it was great. Service is good and the restaurant is pretty old school. If you want real paella and don’t have time to go to Valencia, this is the place! Let’s talk about the 3€ bread. It’s not for the bread. It’s for the service and it’s clearly indicated on the menu. For the 3€ you get bread, olives, dumplings PLUS they bring dried fruit and sweet wine at the end of the meal. That’s pretty good for 3€ per person. They also do table side service for your meals.

Excellent rice dishes but also seafood. Very reasonably priced. The service is excellent. The young waiters were friendly and patient with my broken Spanish. The manager speaks excellent English and was very helpful with my selections. Most importantly they can make rice dishes for one person unlike many other restaurants that require min of 2 persons. I was alone on a business trip and they made it possible for me to try their delicious arroz valenciana. It was so good - I forgot to take a photo. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Good food. Tried the rabit paella. the servers could not speak much English which is fine as it is Spain. However we struggled to convey our requests so was at their mercy. Not a touristy place as it is out of the way.

What a great experience when trying the real paella valenciana ». Tasty dish with just chicken and rabbit and not rhe « arroz con mariscos » as all around the world the paella seems to be. Nice venue with personal really sympathic. Great attention from people of staff. I recommend it perfectly!

Amazing food overall. Fried baby fish was perfect and recommended. Salad was tasty Paella was great but salty a little bit. Price is considered high but it’s worthy.

Old fashioned and way more expensive that it needs to be restaurant, despite its kind personnel... We ordered 1 portion of (pre-)fried squids, 1 paella vallenciana and 2 glasses of white whine... We paid 77€... That price in any way corresponds to the quality for both food and environment aspects.
