An impressive monument to the Sacred Heart of Christ, who loved humanity up to give up himself for us. Spain was consacrated here by king Alfonso XIII in 2019. The original monument was ferocely shot and blown up by the red hords in 1936. In spite of the severe destruction, the heart remained intact. The new monument includes stone scultures of remembering several spanish saints -as triumphat church-, Spain as militant church, Spain as defender of the faith and Spain as disseminator of the faith.

quite an interesting place. ideal for a biking destination. you can bike to here from the city center of Madrid in an hour and feel great about it after the journey as you'll see a bunch of interesting things along the way. this place has a massive statue of Jesus that's nice to look at as it towers above everything around it. if you're religious enough, there's church service every now and then and plenty of religious stuff to have a quick look-see. also, if you snoop around the area, you'll see relics from roman forts and they're fun to discover haha

Awesome views. Great for an afternoon walk. Check out their website to read about this place and also to make sure there is no religious holiday, as it can get quite crowded.

Large, quiet and peaceful place. Historical cathedral has beautiful structure. One can also rest in the park near the cathedral. I think there is only one cafeteria near the cathedral therefore its better to bring some food and enjoy. Free entry inside the cathedral but one can't go on the rooftop of the building. Although, rooftop has breathtaking sculptures.
