It's shocking not getting any assistance whatsoever in regards to information on flights for Australian citizens to return to their country, other countries with way more humble economy are doing way more to help their citizens in the middle of a pandemic.

Not even a 1 star am about to become a citizen , i love Australia and Australian people, here in Canberra everyone polite , helpful,caring and am proud of this state but 2 days ago i was stock in madrid ans went to ask for help at the embassy and they didnt even have the courtesy of seeing me and offer help, i was shocked at how rude the reception was and even doe it was obvious i was crying and in need of urgent help they simply wouldnt care to lend a hand Absolutely disgusted , shame of whoever the counsil is, this is not how Australians behave

I just called, I waited a few minutes. And then the person who helped me was extremely kind and to my greatest surprise the question I had, for which I called, was resolved in a few minutes. I was very pleasantly surprised. 10/10

Impossible to get through by phone (contact details on their website) but they won’t see you without an appointment which you can’t make because you can’t get through by phone! Once you physically go to the embassy and get the right number from the receptionist, you finally get to talk to someone that is not friendly or welcoming. Disheartening. Australia you are a great country, you can do better!

John (Barcelona office) and Zahanna were god sent for us. John was extremely helpful through the entire passport application process and had shared all the information that was important for me to know after having my passport stolen. Grateful to have met such helpful people in another country. Thank you so much!

Very friendly and helpful staff. I would like to thank especially Karla and Cindy for their help. I was there awhile ago for passport renewal and also used the consular services for another matter and I appreciated their services. Anyways, better late than never.

I wanted to apply for my Canadian passport and Certificate of Citizenship. With the help of Cindy and Veronica, I was able to get my passport in less than a month and my Certificate of Citizenship was approved 5 days after I applied. They are so professional, friendly, attentive and quick.

The service is all by email, no phone calls or conversations, is all very strictly, to get documents signed an stamped fo a Bank since we where out of the country for €52each or $75 Australian dollars x 7 so expensive, I would sugest that there should be a discount after the 3rd document, anyway, Thank you.

Easy to reach by public transport. Staff are efficient. Appointment necessary and sometimes it takes very long to get an appointment.

First i thought it would be a nightmare..but at the end all went well and smooth. Easy metro access to the embassy.and no complicationse once you are there.

We had a very bad experience as a landlord with the embassy. Be cautious! Their behavior and attitude in this case is not appropriate for any professional and respectful person nor a serious embassy. Here the backgound / Our message to the embassy: On October 27, we got the confirmation that you wanted to rent the apartment and you asked for different requisites for us to fulfill (e.g. nota simple, electricity certificate, a visit from your electrician, etc.). In the meantime, we made all these requisites possible, we even agreed to postpone the rental contract due to your commodity. Of course, as we had your confirmation, we canceled all the other interests. Now, nearly one month later, you are writing to us that the apartment is not appropriate to your standards? This incomprehensible communication causes us a big financial damage although we had fulfilled all your demanding requirements in the last four weeks. It fits to mention that we never had so much work in the past with renting out the apartment and we never experienced such a low-professional and contemptuous behavior. Excellent experience. Called the embassy regarding a query about a birth certificate being apostilled. I was called back within 3 hours with clear, detailed advice about the process. The birth certificate was sent, apostilled and returned to me within less than 48hours! Remarkable service.
