Beautiful restaurant, with a great view. Cozy, chic and romantic ambiance. The food was delicious and the service amazing. The music wasn’t too loud, easy to listen modern/jazz.

Fantastic restaurant, we ate here twice during our three nights in Ushuaia. The food is great and the team is so friendly and welcoming. The place just opened in November 2022 and is run by a family and you feel the heart they put into their food and the service. Thank you for two great evenings! The location on Googlemaps is a bit misleading, as you do not directly see the restaurant from the street but you have to go down the stairs to find it.

So good I went back twice. But really, this relatively new family-run restaurant is still off the beaten track but should be in everybody's must visit list for Ushuaia. Saltire has a casual fine dining atmosphere lifted with light jazz and the setting sun in the summer months. The menu has variety, but not enough to lose you in it. Every dish that I ordered came out beautifully plated and was absolutely delicious. Definitely get the soup of the day because the natural flavor of whatever vegetable they are using comes through strong and in bright, vibrant colors. The staff are friendly, generous, and if your spoken Spanish is as weak as mine, more than willing to help you in English (menus are Spanish only). They have Wi-Fi, so if you need some online translation just ask for the password. Honestly, this might be the best restaurant in the town and I really hope it starts to get more recognition nationally too (but not too much, I don't want to have to wait for months to make reservations! ;) )

Wonderful dinner, fresh fish, delightful appetizers and a good wine in a restaurant with tasteful design. The owners are serving and cooking and they are excellent hosts, also telling you about the town history.

Excellent place to go for fresh local food and wine. Great atmosphere. Had the octopus for a starter which was the best octopus I’ve had. The bass for my main course was top notch. My server, Florence, was a treat. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Great family-run restaurant! Sincere, friendly and good value. Everything tasted fresh and lovingly made. We ordered two soups, cerviche, king crab cannoli, grilled hake, grilled seabass and gizzard cannelloni. The gizzard cannelloni was my favorite. We also got two different Patagonian ciders and a glass of Famiglia Malbec, all very enjoyable. The bill came up to 25K pesos for 3 people. For the amount of food, quality and service, this is definitely worth a visit.
