This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I am a former employee and on top of coming here for years with my family. This gem is in need of some major polishing, it is in need of a major renovation but sadly the owner is a multi-millionaire cheapskate who just refuses to update it at all. I am giving 5-stars for the staff who constantly work hard to give people the best service they can. But ownership needs to do better because you have a staff who deserve nothing but the best.

I was just here for a training and lunch. Not a fan of the food. The clean plates were still dirty. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Mother's Day brunch buffet, prime rib and omelette bar. Good, but not exceptional.

It's a tired and run down golf course. Ground is hard so it is easy to hit a long drive. Green is also hard and fast so play it a little short. I won't come back here unless I absolutely have no place to go.

Very deceiving online. Looks spectacular on the web page. When you drive up it’s more like hotel Transylvania. Golf course is decent tho

A little further from town than expected, but a nice surprise... having been recommended by familiar locals, had dinner in the bar. Very comfortable and would plan to return next time we're in the area.

Extremely dated rooms. Tiny TV stuffed in cabinet and nailed down to a crooked board. Too low to view. No counter space in bathroom. Room was small. Hot tub was too cool to sit in. For $225 I was expecting a whole lot more. Pluses - decent hotel restaurant, nice views from room, decent pool, nice grounds.

Very old, however very well kept. This place is like walking into the 60s. Like an old James bond movie. Or Beatles movie. Incredible vibe. Very fun guests typically populate the hotel. A little pricey, however what isn't today?

My girlfriend works in the kitchen she said the kitchen is very dirty the girls that work in the kitchen they bully all their new employees and the manager don't care. They should consider bulldozing that hole old motel down. In the food she ate there made her sick for 2 days

Came in to the Duke Sunday afternoon with my wife, and for 20+ minutes, got completely ignored. Waiters and bartenders only focus was the winter visitors and they could obviously tell we were locals, either by our age or the color of our skin. The waiter that had just started his shift was the one who FINALLY waited on us, but my wife was too upset to order anything. If you're reading this and you're a winter visitor then come on in, you will get treated like royalty here. But if you're a local of CG, then we'll have to wait til the snowbirds to leave, to get any respect here

Second time having lunch, both times food was great as well as service. Loved walking grounds to pool and to hotel where you can get a birds eye view from the 8th floor. Lots of history between baseball, golf and of course "The Duke" John Wayne.

Went on 01-05-23 the golf course was in okay shape, the greens were slow definitely putting harder then usual. I would have assumed the course would have been in better shape. Especially after they reseeded in October, with that being said I know it takes time. Will go golfing here again in the summer.

Came for a day of golf live in Marana, so it's 45-50 min away, but in all, I was pleased with the course, and the girl at the grill was super cool and very helpful. It has a retro vibe going dig it. We are coming back in a few weeks.

The hotel is ok, not luxurious but it's ENTIRE set up is to support The Barca Residence Academy USA and secondarily the golf course. Dukes and Legends have VERY GOOD food

This is Casa Grande's best kept secret. When John Wayne was alive, it was a hopping place but now we don't tell outsiders that the food is beyond fantastic and the portions are enormous and the staff is awesome. Best come early if you want the prime rib bc when it's gone...it's gone.

Dukes Lounge and Legends Restaurant are great. The food is fabulous and it's worth the short drive out there. Very nice atmosphere!

Loved the golf value. Course is in terrific condition. I am looking forward to a stay and play in one of the tower suites. The restaurant was good too.

We did not stay over night. The Dodd was so well prepared. Great staff. Service was beyond perfect. I very much recommend the resort and will come back again and again

This location offers a lot of amenities and a good glimpse into history. The venues are not modern but by no means unkempt. Great for conferences and golf. It's a fair distance from town, but offers good views of the surrounding deserts.

Terrible service, we waited over an hour for food. And then only some of dishes arrived. Very rude manager who complained they had 3 large parties & were short staffed. So why did they book 3 parties that they couldn't serve? When we found out the wait was not ending after an hour, we asked for some chips to tied us over. They charged us $8 for a dozen tortilla chips. A rather expensive menu & terrible, terrible customer service. This is the last visit for me.

Since the early '80's we Tucsonans have used Francisco Grande as an enjoyable meeting place with relatives in Phoenix. Today was a repeat and the great location, grounds, restaurant, food, and hospitality (I've never actually stayed in one of the hotel rooms) were still top notch! Servers Janice and Kaitlin went above and beyond to make our dining experience all it could be! All seven of our meals were both timely and sublime. I will be back soon! Scott.

Restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff was very freindly. Facility has a great history behind it. Read up before you go and be sure to browse the pictures throughout the facility.

My son stayed here during his soccer camp. The rooms were nice and clean and had a balcony. I felt safe having my child stay there for the week.
