So fun to go and look around at the old buildings and their playground is one of the best I’ve seen in town! I took my teddy bear for a photo shoot and had a blast

Came for a birthday party. They had rented out the Ramada by the south playground. It was awesome. Spacious and clean with the various playgrounds adjacent. Great spot

It is one of Tucson's great parks. Large trees provided lots of shade for Saturday morning Tai Chi classes. There is a duck pond and fountain that make for peaceful meditations. Tai Chi on Saturday starts at 9:30 am and is open to new comers, meets near duck pond north end of park there is also a swimming pool available. Plenty of parking space. And if you want to practice fly fishing Saturday mornings at the park coming up in November the old timers will be out there practicing their fly fishing..

Upon arriving in Tucson for a couple of months over the winter, we checked out about 4 dog parks in the central to north Tucson area. None of them appealed to use for the complete lack of grass, small size and larger, more aggressive dogs. Our dog is a bit nervous around bigger dogs, especially those that are aggressively playful. I found Ft. Lowell park on about our 4th or 5th day in Tucson and we haven't been anyplace else since then. It's not a dog park but it's a perfect place for a walk. Lots of space, some live grass (!) and a duck pond. We have both loved our time there and have met several new Tucson friends, both canine and hominid. The the pic was snapped when I had Bear off-leash for a moment, we always walk him on the leash and just remove it for brief periods when we're completely alone. Thanks to Tucson for such a nice city park and for the friends group that helps to maintain it.

Lots of room to walk around and the weather was beautiful. I didn't think about taking pictures but there were many people with their dogs getting exercise before dinner time. Met a friend with her dog . Fritz and Lily have always walked in the nieghborhood, but they like getting out a little farther now and then.

We visited on May 4th 2022. We were hoping to see more of the Fort, but the museum and buildings were closed. The shade trees made it nice. We read the history plaques. We really didn't check out the entire park, just the Fort area so I can't speak as to whether it is a nice park. I did find a dead baby turtle and the ants were eating it. We hope to come back when the museum is open.

Great place to hang out and is a super neat historical site. The walking paths are well marked and very nicely decorated. You got a duck pond, a small water feature that goes down to the turtle pond. Body weight workout stuff and tennis courts.

Lots going on. Sometimes have reenactors there with tables of historic items. Used to have a building open with docents to explain the exhibits. Been closed for years. Hey guys let's get these important historic exhibits open again!

A quiet park on the weekends to just go sit and relax. Good background for photos as well. Loved that it had like 3 or 4 different restroom locations (soap dispensers were all filled)

Really nice park with a swimming pool playground, ball diamonds, playground, restrooms and picnic tables. There is also a beautiful pond surrounded by tall trees that provide shade and green grass that made me forget I was in the middle of the desert. There was even a piece of history with part of original Fort still standing.

Plenty of outdoor space to explore. An established City park with giant shade trees, a pond with ducks and red-eared slider water turtles. Across the park and parking lot (to the South) from the pond are two children's play equipment areas and two swings. Also some giant trees that provide good shade on the play equipment even in the afternoon sun.

One of the slides is blocked off as of Jan. 2022. The playground equipment could use some TLC (or a complete update) but there are a few slides, swings, and things to climb. There's a section for 2-5, and 5-12 but neither piqued my 4 yr old's interest. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But there is a duck pond nearby so that's cool. Just don't expect to spend much more than an hour here.

Love the playground upgrade! The bathrooms were terrifying and gross at Ramada 2. Other than that it was a great day spent at the park. I can't wait to see the upcoming changes.

A desert oasis and if you like to sketch or go on a picnic. I recommend coming here Every time I come here this quiet park has been a great place for meditating. I walk my little dogs here and we just have a blast. This is a very well maintained and clean park!

The bathrooms were closed and the water fountains were not working. Came to bring my dog for a walk, and my poor dog couldn't drink from the fountain. Also, some guy Playing tennis tried to ask me to leave the park because I was taking up all the tennis parking spots. 😠Used to be a great park

We visit about every couple months to keep with the updates to the Park...Very disappointing to return and find the previously dreged little Creeks/ waterfalls to be filthy even the Ducks wouldn't enter the water....Hopefully it will be nice if we return...

The park is a bit small, and the pond is probably my favorite place. The playground equipment DEFINITELY NEEDS an upgrade and some MAINTENANCE. But we still go to this park every week or so.

Has the same play structures from when I was a kid not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Love the duck pond and the park has a cool history behind it. It needs some updating, however

TL/DR: Easy, less populated, green, calm. Have a bike to show off, go to Rillito. The Rillito was very busy this morning with a lot of bicyclists. Doesn't leave a lot of places to just enjoy a walk and scenery. Fort Lowell Park is a perfect alternative. The pond here is an amazing morning walk: the turtles sun themselves on the edge of the pond and when they slip back into the water their little heads poke out and watch. There's no feeding the ducks- a few signs around to help you remember. I could imagine that's why there's no too much bird poop around the edge of the pond. The benches here all have good shade in the morning. The sound of the fountain is so much better of an experience than the whirr clicking of all the expensive bikes in Rillito going too fast for pedestrians. The trees also deserve a mention. Tucson isn't the leafiest place. Agua Caliente Park's tree/pond experience on the eastside is what I expect from a park in desert. Reid's pond- great park too- feels too engineered. The trees here at the pond at big, climby, and hella leafy. The kind of leafy that feels cool as you walk by it. Tucsonans know what I'm talking about.

It's a nice park, has a decent sized lake area with a water display in the center. It has a cool museum as you can learn about the camp and stuff that was there during the Indian wars. Very big also and plenty of area for all

The park itself is just wonderful, I've been frequenting since I was 9 years old, and still go with my dogs at 30. Problem being that last time I went, it smelled pretty strongly of urine on the grass...no big deal as I just sum it up to the pond and other pet goers playing around. But seriously, awesome park.

We had a gathering of furries today for a potluck. It was a very pleasant location, the ramada was ample for our needs and had an electrical outlet. The only issue we had was that bees began to congregate in the later afternoon. The restrooms at the ramada appeared to be disused and locked, but there was another restroom across the way. The restroom was clean and tidy.
