We stayed for 1 night for a baseball tournament in the area. The hotel was comfortable and quiet, the staff was friendly and they even opened breakfast for our team a little early. For those looking for a pool, this hotel does not have one. Which was no issue for us, as we knew this during booking but want to make sure those with kids are aware. We would stay here again.

I was not going to put a review here on my stay, but the fact I am going back to Des Plaines every two weeks for work the rest of this year and am paying more on my next stay to avoid this place as an IHG Platinum member was a sign I needed to say something. During my stay in May, the customer service was very smug here on checkin and checkout and a smile is not part of the rate I guess. While the rooms are clean and newer (why I gave 2 stars), the traffic noise is surprisingly bad like others have said.. Milwaukee Avenue is just as loud as hotels along the tollway (or at least here it is). Even with that, I would probably have stayed again or given them another chance. But the kicker was the breakfast the next day- the breakfast attendant basically acted like I came off the street to steal her breakfast. I was in a hurry (flustered is a better description) and dropped off my bags at my car and walked in the front door to get food to go. She was sitting on a couch (first time i've seen that) and followed me in and immediately asked me if I was a guest in a not-so-friendly way.. Here I am dressed in dress clothes and a jacket with the gov't agency logo I work for and basically she thinks I am stealing an IHG breakfast (sorry, it's not that good guys... though greatly apprecated as part of the rate). I assume she also thought me bringing my own small paper bag was unusual (it probably looked like Uncle Eddie with his burlap sack at the buffet in Vegas Vacation!) but my history is a lot of HIEs I have stayed at do not offer a to go bag and I do not have time to sit and eat in the morning at the hotel. After I told her I was a guest, she then stayed in there on guard while I grabbed my food and watched me intently in an intimidating and uncomfortable way. I actually had to ask her to please move so I could get a cinnamon roll and go (she was leaning against the counter as if to protect them).. I was extremely disappointed as I thought this could be my replacement to the Holiday Inn in Mt. Prospect which I liked very much and stayed at for work before it closed during Covid... but I guess the search continues for a good hotel without the "O'Hare Overprice". If you stay here, you might not have an unusual situation like I did, but don't expect much when it comes to friendly service. I rather get no breakfast and treated well vs. getting breakfast and dealing with a surly staff. BTW note to IHG- this is the 2nd really bad experience me or my family had with a breakfast attendant this year (the other was in TX). I don't know why this is now an issue but it needs to get fixed soon.

Noise, Noise, Noise.... Don't expect a peaceful stay at this hotel. Stayed here for 2 days & had to check out. The maids and the maintenance crew are CONSTANTLY slamming doors from the earliest hours of the morning. The walls between the rooms, AND the windows facing the AIRPORT are paper thin...Youll feel every sound that is occurring outside. Stay away.

Clean and nice looking on the inside. The breakfast is one of the nicest breakfasts I’ve seen in a long time. The pancake machine was really neat and easy to use. The only issue we had was that we ran out of body wash and it was late at night so we didn’t ask for another one. I feel like they should check that before guest come and stay. Otherwise the rest of the stay was good.

Most impressed by the level of professional service given to each guest throughout our 3 night stay. The staff did their very best to ensure guests' special requests were met with the highest level of service. Clearly management and senior staff have not only trained their staff very well, but they also set the benchmark high with their own actions and words. Most impressive! Congrats Holiday Inn Express!

The rooms are super clean. The breakfast is really good. Everyday it has something different with the eggs. It met my expectations.

Book elsewhere. Loudest cleaning crew Ive ever experienced. Slamming doors ALL morning/afternoon LONG. DESK STAFF: LIKE PULLING NAILS TO GET HELP. (Other than April).

Very nice hotel. Standard Holiday inn Express breakfast, which was good. Exceeded my expectations for the fitness room! Multiple machines and a full weight rack! Very happy with that. Room was clean and no issues.

Talk about shady. We prepaid via Costco vacation packages and yet charged for the room when we checked out. I’m not sure if they thought they could take advantage of non-English speaking travelers but we had to call to rectify the situation and request the refund. So please make sure you’re not getting any bogus charges from this hotel.

Room 502 was the best! We didn't hear another person the whole time, like we had the hotel to ourselves till we went for breakfast and it was full. Clean hotel, nice breakfast, quick check-in and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The hotel is very clean! Amber was pleasant at check in and check out. It’s as if she works every shift. She is the only person we seen behind the front desk during our stay. The breakfast was decent but not enough seating on a busy morning! You might have to take your food back to your room. The hotel is located on the corner of an intersection of a main highway. If your room is located on the front side of the hotel, you will hear the highway noise. Especially, cars honking their horns or with loud mufflers. Lucky we travel with a fan for the white noise. It was able to drown out some of the noise from the highway. We would definitely stay again if passing through for the night.

Hotel was just ok, the person at the front desk was terrible, she shouldn’t be working with the public, very short couldn’t even tell us where the elevator was for our room. The room was nice, parking lot was weird. Wouldn’t recommend.

Very clean hotel (quite new actually), a lot of available parking and very decent buffet breakfast. Enjoyed our stay during our visit to the Chicago area. Will visit again.

Our experience was great, clean rooms, extra comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Breakfast was wonderful, very well attended and stocked. Pleasant and professional staff. The only negative was Exterior noise, but you can't control that.

Once again IHG did not let me down. Staff was nice and check in and out was a breeze. The housekeepers never knocked on my door and let me sleep in peace (im a late sleeper). Theu had my brand of green tea and a great patio to sit and enjoy it. There is a beer store and a great sports bar within walking distance. I WILL be back when coming through again. Thanks!!!!!

I came here because my apartment flooded and I needed a place to go in between air bnbs. I was checked into a room with bubbling and water damage on the ceiling. They happily moved me into a room with the AC broken open and filthy. I asked for a refund and she refused, saying it wasn't possible through a third party (I called third party who said it was very much possible). I wanted to give it one more chance since the booking was $140 and the room they moved me into last made my asthma act up so I told her I was truly done and wanted a refund. She claimed I couldn't be refunded because "I used three rooms" when SHE'S the one who told me I originally couldn't be refunded and then blamed it on ME, so it was either use the booking or leave. Completely lied to. Reported her to corporate and they did nothing. Will never stay at holiday inn again.

This Holiday Inn has amazed me on how wonderful their service was. My family and I stayed at this hotel for over a week. I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied and happy I was that I chose to stay here. I have been to many Holiday Inn's in the states, but the staff was unmatched here at the Prospect Heights Holiday Inn. One of them stood out, her name is Tzvetana H. (Lana). Every morning, Lana would greet you and treat you like family when you have your breakfast. I looked forward to waking up and being treated the way she did every single day. She made my family and I feel like home away from home. If all Holiday Inn Hotels had a "Lana" within their staff, they would all get 5 stars reviews!

I booked a suite for my birthday and the front desk lady was very nice & sweet I wish I would’ve remembered her name because she deserves a raise how good she was to me! I’m giving the hotel a 2/5 because when I book a suite I expected it to be just that a SUITE especially for the price. The suites they offer are almost the size of a standard room and I was expecting there to at least be 1 separate ROOM in the so called suite at least that’s what Hilton hotels offer. I will say they had the best body wash out of all of the hotels I’ve ever been to!! Literally can’t be found anywhere I wish I knew where they ordered from. Other than them needing to upgrade their rooms everything including the breakfast was perfect

I don't recommend ANYONE stay here unless you have no other option. Not only was the night desk attendant very rude , She didn't greet us and had her head down in her phone. This hotel does not accommodate individuals with pets and are not welcoming at all. My dog is a service animal and was still denied a stay. But I wouldn't even let a dog stay at this hotel after we saw the conditions. The BIGGEST ISSUE we encountered ! we were sleep in our rooms to find a couple of pests crawling on our pillows at 5am. One in which bit me on the chest. When I approached the manager they didn't give us any solution and no one has reached out to us after calling corporate several times and now we will escalate this to the ABC 7 news.
