We were excited for this place to open since its within walking distance but as soon as we heard they have INDIAN FOOD we basically jumped in the car! We came in tonight and our 8 year old ordered a sammy (yummy and he approves), the hubs and I orderd basically 1 of everything off the indian food menu and we couldn't have been happier! I am nearly crying over the fact WE FINALLY HAVE INDIAN FOOD IN CARY!!!!

The staff was lovely and very quick. The indian food is OUTSTANDING. I've had Indian food all in several surrounding cities and in England (where some of the best Indian food in the world is made) and this place can absolutely compare greatly with the best I've ever had. In short, TRY THEIR INDIAN FOOD.

Excellent drinks and even better Indian fusion. Their pizza is fantastic. Highly recommended for a pizza a little outside the norm. The crust was incredibly crispy, with excellent flavor. I’ll gladly come again, next time I’m in town!

Microwaved food made last weekend! Seriously, our container even had a date on the lid showing that it was not fresh. Sadly, we would overlook that, but the food was sad. It was just not good and was mushy from being microwaved. It is a problem when any restaurant is charging a decent price for old food. They should stick to being a gambling place that makes deli sandwiches instead of failing at being a restaurant.

My family and I have dined at Lucky Penny's a couple times now and the experience has been great. The selection of food appealed to everyone in the family - from sandwiches made with Boar's Head meats and cheeses to different Indian dishes. Each time the owner waited on us and was very friendly and took the time to explain the different available Indian dishes and make recommendations based on what we said we liked. She seems very passionate about her business and making sure each customer has the best possible experience. The last time she recommended a butter chicken Indian pizza - a very tasty combination of an Indian butter chicken dish served on a thin pizza crust with cheese. I've never had anything quite like this before but I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to trying some other variations. The bar is well stocked and has a variety of beers, scotch and whiskey (those are what I like so that's all I looked for). The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed but upbeat with music playing in the background. The dining area is divided between a long bar and regular tables with real chairs (not booths) and then there's a separate area in the back for gaming - so it's very kid friendly. Overall the family has enjoyed all of our experiences and we've definitely added it to our list of 'go-to' places for good sandwiches and original takes on Indian food.

Dhara and Nik are some of the nicest business owners you can ever meet. They treat everyone as if you've been friends for years. The food menu has plenty of options and everything I've had thus far has been incredible! Best prices in the areas for drinks and the selection is quite vast. This is an excellent spot to watch the games on the weekends or come in during the week for a relaxing drink and a quick bite to eat. The gaming room has to be one of the nicest/cleanest gaming rooms I've ever entered. Excellent selection of games! Keep up the great work!! 10/10 would recommend.

This tucked away spot is a great place for food, not only do they have quality sandwiches and ingredients but also a seperate Indian menu. A full bar and a gambling room with a dart board makes it a great place to hangout. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is energetic, definitely recommended for a fun night out or a good meal.

I went to Lucky Penny's for the first time last week with some friends for a casual drink. Plenty of seltzers to choose from which was great. They were $6 plus tax ( a little over priced). Ambiance was your run-of-the-mill bar but was clean which was also appreciated. I bought two seltzers and left a $3 tip. Thank goodness I have capital one because the next day they alerted me that I left a "unusually large tip". I double checked and the bartender working changed my tip to $20 (on a $12 tab). I was hoping it was an honest mistake so I called them to try and rectify the issue, and the bartender who answered yelled at me, said he wasn't bartending the other day and hung up on me. My husband was appalled at how I was just spoken to, so we both went in to try to speak to the manager directly, he unfortunately wasn't working that day. The bartender who just yelled at me, was the same bartender from when I was there the other day. He was nicer in person when he knew I recognized him. He said his manager would call us.... He clearly did not tell his manager (probably because he blatantly stole from me and probably doesn't want to lose his job) and said the bank must have mischarged us and id have to follow up with my bank as it was they're error... And there's nothing he could do. Both my husband and I have bartended and we both know that's clearly not true. Luckily capital one is awesome and fixed the issue. But what the heck! I'm concerned this bartender is stealing from other people, and the fact that he literally yelled at me and hung up on me when I first called is also alarming and the worst customer service. Lucky penny should be ashamed of themselves and needless to say I will not be back and will encourage others to avoid this place as well. I will not call this bartender out by name publicly, but I do hope the owner of this establishment reaches out to me so I can show him copy's of my receipt and bank statement. The way this entire situation was handled is appalling, and I truly worry if this happened to me, who else is this happening to...

Very clean establishment. Very friendly staff . Sandwiches are a little pricey but you get a half a pound of meat on the sandwich. Nice to see what appears to be a first class establishment

Every single sandwich hands down has been the best I’ve had! Their pizza is incredible! Great prices on drinks! Overall a great place to spend time watching the games! Definitely be back here!

The corned beef sandwich was the best in town, the Chiken Tikka Masala with the Naan for dipping was so very good. Pleased with our food and the prices are very reasonable. Very nice staff as well. Will be returning again very soon to try more menu items!

It is very clean! The people that work there are very nice & polite. On top of that, they have slot games there and you have high chance of winning. About 80% of the times I play, I leave with more money I came to play with. 😁 Try your luck !!!

The staff is incredibly nice, the bar is excellent, great atmosphere at the bar. We each got a panini sandwich and it was not lacking. The Italian sub on panini bread was amazing! I made my own turkey, tomato, pepper jack cheese and chipolte mayo. Excellent! — the people next to us ordered the home made Indian food and it looked amazing. They were not first timers like us. I can’t wait to return! Very happy they have opened up.

We were from out of town to watch the Nuggets in the finals and this place is an absolute gem. The bartenders are so genuine and seem like really kind people. This place doesn’t charge for their bar games like billiards and shuffleboard— amazing. They have TVs in every direction to catch whatever game you’d like to catch— and they even have slots! Their taps fill up the cups from the bottom up, which is like magic to watch. And best of all, they serve really great Indian food! They even have Indian pizza, which was especially awesome. Check this place out— it’s the best bar I’ve ever been to.

Never have I felt comfortable walking into a bar/restaurant even by myself until my husband and I stumbled upon Lucky Penny. About a year ago we came in to order a pizza “to go” as we heard it was good from one of our neighbors. From that day forward I felt so fortunate we did so. We met Dara, one of the owners, and she is the kindest, most genuine person who treats her patrons like they are family. Not only have we gotten to know the wonderful staff but have made a lot of new friends who frequent the establishment and even reconnected with some old ones. We have met so many fun and friendly people at Lucky Penny and they have now become like family to us. Enough about the awesome group we have met here. THE FOOD! OMG it is out of this world. They just brought back the full menu and we were shocked at how delicious it is. Great pizza and awesome burgers but the Tikka bowl and Reuben sandwich are some of our favorites. They also have complimentary pool and a lot of fun activities throughout the week. We really like Singo on Thursday nights, and the slots are fun as well. If you have not checked out Lucky Penny yet I would highly suggest you do. I guarantee you won’t be sorry. Chris

Shout out to Lucky Penny's Cary. We went in out of curiosity and boy are we glad we did!!! My hubby and I had an amazing lunch with a cold beer. We both had the Italian Sub, and asked for it toasted. It came out perfect. Flavor was amazing. Then we were treated to samples of the Garlic Naan and Butter Naan with chicken. We had never tried anything like it b4 and we both would definitely order it! The atmosphere is really relaxing and the owner is one amazing lady. If you like to game that’s there also in a separate room which makes this place super kid friendly. There is so much on the menu we’d like to try so I know we will be back! Supporting our beloved Village of Cary one meal at a time! 🤣💗🙌🏼

I go to lucky penny's for their outstanding Indian food. It's made fresh, uses authentic ingredients, and is made by some extremely talented people. On top of that, the bar is a nice place to be, the design is cool and inviting, and the people are friendly. I recently started ordering the Indian pizzas and I couldnt reccomend them more. If you're new to Indian food, go with the chicken tikka masala pizza, it's a good introduction to the cuisine, and my favorite curry. There's about 15 different pizzas they do, and I fully intend on trying all of them. I cannot reccomend this place enough. 5 stars isnt enough for the experience I've had with their food and owners. I got the chicken tikka pizza last night and it was so good. Perfectly crisp and even delicious cold and leftover the next morning too! The lady who took my order over the phone and handed it to me at pickup was so sweet and personable! Super amazing customer service and super yummy pizza.
