We have been going to this animal hospital for several years. Dr. Thomas is a very compassionate vet, he explains everything so well. We lost our Sasha last year and he and the staff were wonderful. On a better note yesterday we brought in our new puppy Sadie. The Dr. Who took care of us her name is Jessica she and her assistant were great. Dr. Jessica was so sweet with our Sadie. The staff is wonderful and kind. I am looking forward to our next visit next month and hope Dr. Thomas can meet Sadie.

We have had three cats ( and are about to take a fourth) and two dogs since they were puppies. All have been rescues that came with various issues. The doctors are wonderful, the staff is caring and the animals feel it. They all actually look forward to going over there (we can only tell with the dogs😁). They are very professional and fairly priced. We had gone to other specialists before and we much prefer River Forest. When are wonderful Lucas, our beautiful family dog, needed to be put to sleep, they worked with us to help him. They were caring and honest. We wanted to try everything possible. They told us about the chances of success and his quality of life. It was time. I treasure the note River Forest Animal Hospital sent to us. I know we aren’t the only one missing him.

This team is stellar!!! They are great with their clients, communicative and transparent; caring about their patients, they love what they do and it shows. Prices are comparable I feel in this day and age. They took great care of my dog Memphis when he had to have foreign body surgery. Thank you River Forest Animal Hospital!!

We've been taking our dogs to RFAH for 14 years because we appreciate the level of care our pets receive, the doctors' and technicians' availability and flexibility throughout COVID, and their compassion. Dr. Thomas was especially supportive as our now deceased lab aged and developed a degenerative nerve disease.

The entire staff was friendly and they took great care of my puppy. They also gave me lots of valuable tips and information. I’m very happy to have chosen this practice so far. They’re currently renovating but providing great service.

Unprofessional and unprepared. Weeks ago, the hospital called to inform they had the vaccine we need in stock. I made an appointment weeks out since we were not immediately due and did not have immediate availability. Fast forward, when we walk in for our appointment, they tell me they have been out due to a shortage. I understand shortages happen, but no one called to tell us this information. Not an email or a phone call - both of which are on file. If I have an appointment for a vaccine, I would think that means we have a dose being held for us. Why would they call me to schedule an appointment just to give out the supply, then not inform the client?? They see the appointment on the calendar and the purpose of it... I truly do not understand why this was not communicated.

This place was recommended to me by a neighbor when I first moved to the area, and we have been going ever since (2 years). Hands down the best vet my pup has ever had. All of the doctors, techs, and front desk staff are 5 stars!

I’ve only been taking my baby here for ~2 years and the service isn’t like it was in the beginning. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt this last visit (rough day, we’re the last appointment, etc). It didn’t feel thorough and I felt rushed. For as expensive as an appointment is, I want to feel secure that my dog is deemed healthy by the “experts” and I don’t have that security at the moment.

Dr. Sherman is caring, knowledgeable and very good at answer all of our questions. I would definitely like to see her again. Have been taking our dog to River Forest for over 8 years now.

I love this place and so does my little kitty Finley. I brought Finley in for a second opinion after being told I’m out of options by another vet and I’m so glad I did. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the girls at the front desk were so understanding of my situation. They even called me when cancellations would occur to try to get me in earlier. Dr. Sherman is the absolute best!! She’s so knowledgeable, experienced, personable and truly just a breath of fresh air. She developed a game plan for my kitty with cancer and answered all my questions and was thorough in her explanations. She really went above and beyond during our visit and I couldn’t be more thankful for her. She truly cares about my kitty and is developing the best treatment plan for him while still keeping me aware of risks and options I have. I’m elated that I found this place.

I absolutely love this clinic. The staff is always so kind and accommodating. I called this week trying to get my pup, Leo, in and they consistently called with earlier times for me to bring him in if I wanted. They are on top of their patients and provide wonderful care. Leo loves going here, despite the reasons!

Doctor Kuehn and Nurse Diana helped me out with getting my cat all caught up on her shots and were so gentle the entire time. My cat immediately warmed up to them and I truly believe it was because how soft they were with her! I was nervous to take her to the vet in general but their kindness and eagerness to answer any questions have made me way more confident and comfortable in any future visits.

Knowledgeable and kind staff. Every time I go in for my cat’s annual I feel like they keep me up to date about the latest research about cat care. They’ve given me great recommendations for other vets and care about every detail of my cats care, even his allergies.

Dr. Kuehn is the absolute best. I trust her with my dog’s life. She always explains everything throughly and gives you options on how to address issues that your pet maybe dealing with. I feel very at easy knowing that she is the one handling and taking care of my dog. The entire staff is always pleasant and welcoming and I’ve never had an issue. Thanks so much guys!

We’ve boarded our dog at River Forest animal hospital as we were visiting relatives in Oak Park. The staff were amazing. So friendly, positive, and helpful. The vet stayed in touch with us regarding our dog and updated her progress. I would not hesitate at all in using their facilities again.

My 10 year old dog was treated with care and respect throughout his canine teeth cleaning. He left with bright white teeth again! The staff showered him with love and the doc called me after the procedure and answered all my questions and then some! Highly recommend!

The entirety of River Forest Animal Hospital is always very caring and accommodating. I cannot recommend them enough. The front desk takes the time to be engaging without any decrease in efficiency. Vet techs are always more than happy to answer questions and pass along to the doctors any they cannot answer. The doctors are absolutely wonderful. Caring, compassionate, and take a genuine interest in both their patients and owners. Follow up is amazing.

All the staff at RF Animal Hospital treat your pet as if he/she were their own. My dog Coco just had her second dental cleaning there. I am anxious about general anesthesia. Dr. Luo called me 90 minutes after I dropped Coco off to let me know that the procedure was completed and Coco was awake. I had a concern after bringing her home (hadn’t urinated yet!); it was handled professionally and with appropriate concern. They checked in with me two days later just to see how Coco was doing. I had some questions about a closed fracture of one her back teeth and which treats/toys were safe. My questions were answered promptly and in sufficient detail. I highly recommend this facility and Dr.Luo. I’m an RN & I wish I could say human medicine always lived up to these standards! You all ROCK! Kudos to all the staff. And a big thank you!

River Forest Animal Hospital is by far the best animal care provider I've ever been with! They are very honest, patient and compassionate. I love the extra tlc they give my anxious, senior dog! I am so grateful to have found you!
