Update: removing a star based on management’s lack of accountability. I’m very confused how the manager “did his best.” Practices like this can cause food poisoning. Had the manager actually taken the time to come talk to us, the situation could’ve been very different. He was well aware of what was going on. I don’t appreciate being lied to… and if I’m going to wait forever for reheated food… at least remake the toast and fries. Also, reheating mac n cheese for a kid takes 1 minute, not 20. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this one unfortunately deserves it. Side note: anybody else notice how I left this review and they magically had 20 5-star reviews all within hours from people who have never left a review? Not fake at all… no wonder their star rating isn’t lower. Terrible food/service tonight and the manager lied to our faces. We’ve been there many times over the years and never had such an awful experience (Wed. June 7th). We waited forever for our food while we saw it sitting in the kitchen. It came out cold/lukewarm, so we let the waitress know and she said they’d remake it. We had a toddler with us so I asked if they could just reheat the mac n cheese right away. The waitress left the Mac sitting while taking the rest of the food. I had to flag her down to come back for it and then wait forever to reheat it. We waited a good 20 min for them to “remake it.” When it came back it clearly looked like the same food. Toast was now hard as a rock, fries double fried, and my husband’s burger still had a bite in it (with a new bun). We asked if it was the same food and they INSISTED it wasn’t. Both the waitress and manager lied right to our faces until we pointed out the bite in the burger… Then started to backtrack and apologize. So long story short, we waited forever to get cold food, waited longer for them to pretend to remake it, served even worse food, then lied to. Super cool. Oh and we sat with empty drinks while waiting. We’ve been there many times over the years and will never return based on how poorly the manager handled a situation that could’ve been easy to fix.

Highly recommend! We loved the food. Old Fashioned was tasty, as well as the Bloody Mary’s. Fish tacos had big pieces of fish; stick with the elote (Mexican corn) as your side! Wraps are big enough for 2.

I was here for lunch with my husband. Our server was really nice and friendly girl. We ordered nachos and fish and chips, food was delicious.

Sophia is the best bartender! She works so hard and is always there to accommodate us even before we ask. She suggests the best drinks and food and we just think she is just a valuable employee and they are very lucky to have someone with integrity and a great personality! Also, compliments to the chefs and waiters who brought our food out. They were prompt and made sure that everything was prepared thoroughly and they never fail to make everything perfect. We are happy to say that this is our Sunday funday stop!

My fiance and her daughter have been here a few times over the last few months. The bartender, Sophia, remembered my fiance and her daughter as they wore matching coats the last time was tending bar. She was great and very freindly! The food is good and a great value for the price. Not to mention being close to the Mount Prospect train station. Come in and enjoy the atmosphere and the food and drink at Emerson's!

It was our first visit to this restaurant. We were seated right away. Great atmosphere, Great beer selection. Food was excellent, Emerson wrap was delicious. Appetizers were great too. Outstanding service by Mark. Whole staff was very attentive! Definitely coming back.

I have no complaints whatsoever. I got the Mac n’ cheese with bacon and mushrooms, and I enjoyed every last bite of it. Let me tell you; they do not mess around with their toppings on the Mac and cheese, they absolutely loaded mine with the bacon and mushrooms. No doubt you get your money’s worth on the toppings here. The sauce was nice and creamy, the way cheese sauce should be, and it was a pretty large portion. I also got fries, and those were nice and crispy, a little salty, and good all around. Additionally, the food came fast, and employees were friendly. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely eat here again if I’m nearby.

Great food selections all around here with great drink choices too. The fish tacos I had were spectacular and the street corn was unexpectedly amazing.

This restaurant is great if you eat in the restaurant, but their cooks have lately been hit or miss with delivery orders. Bacon is undercooked. I've asked for medium well on burgers and they turn out medium rare. Maybe this was an anomaly? The next time I ordered well done...still medium rare. Again, the bacon is basically uncooked. Bacon should be crispy. Always crispy. I don't want to have to finish cooking the food after it is delivered.

This is my second time coming here with my family. Every time I come here I try something new. Great little place in the heart of Mount Prospect. Cool place to hang out and watch sports games.

I’ve always finished my food except for this time. It lacked major flavor. They clearly don’t know the difference between Buffalo sauce and hot sauce. The fried pickles had a thick layer of soft batter and they were nasty! The fries were old and cold without seasons or even salt. And bigger disappointment was the huge chicken wings that weren’t cooked all the way through and just not the chicken wings to expect at such place. Overall big disappointment but the staff was great hence the 3 stars.

This place never disappoints. I have never had a bad meal here. Especially love their crispy Buffalo chicken sandwich, short rib sandwich, and club sandwich. Their cheese curds and crispy cauliflower are great appetizers as well!

I highly recommend the cauliflower bites. They were delicious and plentiful as an appetizer. I got the chicken club, and it wasn't very flavorful. The tomato and onion slices were too big and made the sandwich hard to navigate. I wound up getting tomato seeds all over myself. I wish the iced tea was fresh brewed, too. Overall a cute place, and I'll come back for more cauliflower and to try a burger.

It’s a good comfort food bar. Short rib burger was actually very good. And I was very happy and surprised to see Meomi pino noir on their red wine list.

This place was ok. Our waitress was not very attentive and didn’t check on us once. I ordered my burger cooked medium and they cooked it to medium well which was super disappointing since my friend ordered the same thing and her’s was maybe even medium rare. I had to flag down the guy who was bringing the food out since our waitress seemed to be avoiding us. They remade the burger and it was still over cooked but a little bit better than the first time. Overall a bit disappointed in this place.

Great late night eats. Perfect service broader menu than expected.

My favorite part of Emerson's was the Service. Our server Rachel was very attentive and accommodating. Everyone else was really hospitable from the moment we walked in. The food was good, beer was Great. I really liked the Wings, the nachos were ok, the steak sandwich was ok. The prime sandwich was better.

I’m shocked I haven’t reviewed Emerson’s yet, as I frequent this place. The food never disappoint and there are ample options. The prime rib sliders and crispy chicken sandwich are two of my favorite standouts. Also love the classic cheeseburger and you can never go wrong with some fresh fries! They do have a fun list of cocktails with rotating seasonal items, and they always have a great selection of beers. Definitely recommend.

We ordered the El Fuego burger w. Side of house fries & The black bean burger w. Side of Mac n Cheese. My veggie burger was decent not the best I’ve had. My friends meat burger he said was mediocre & the fries where “shit”. They looked like they made them in the morning & just refried them. The Mac n cheese was worse then Kraft Mac, meaning a boxed Mac tasted better then their “fresh” Mac. Seemed like they put noodles into a cheese wiz sauce and called it a day. Not worth the $35. Not good impression for our first time here.

Server was great..food came out not how we ordered. Had to send back. Person( not sure if manager or not) came back ) had to redo things and said " there may be a typo on menu" buffalo chicken tacos came 3 tortillas and each had 1 piece of breaded chicken..I don't think I will come back..

It was very busy while we were there because of October fest but they seated us outdoors right away instead of having to wait for a table to open up. The food is absolutely delicious and they have a good selection of beer on tap. All the staff were accommodating and friendly. Also it wasn't hard go find parking even with the festivities nearby. I would love to eat here again if I have the chance.

Good beer, friendly service and I could eat those pretzel bites all day. Great place to visit with some outdoor seating. Will stop by again when I'm in the area.
