I came here with my cousin and we are both men and were creeped out by the receptionist telling one of the guys to ask us if we would bring him with us to go out and the weirdness of all the men from hovering over us asking multiple questions about letting them tag along with us going out to eat after telling them we weren’t interested and decided to just go to another place to sleep and never got my money back. I just couldn’t believe the receptionist put us in that uncomfortable position. I recommend not staying here unless you’re ok with unprofessional service, dirty and smelly place and creepy environments. Who knows what we’ll happen to you when you’re sleeping in this place. I think this place should be shut down.

Wow, wow, wow. This is a place women should avoid. Why, Tami is off her rocker & locks people in based on fake police reports. Kicking women out because they are a threat, and just basically acting crazy. If you are a guy, it should be fine, but don't expect that find cool women here because Tami kicks them out because it threatens her stature and she feels threatened.

About as cheap as it gets to have a roof over your head for a couple of nights. The mattress and the pillow were old and limp. Place was dirty, too many houseflies in the living room. The trash can was also overflowing when I first came, emptied it out myself. There's a Kroger and Dollar tree about 15 mins' walk away to buy groceries at. Induction cooker, oven, and microwave in the kitchen. Washing machines and dryers are free to use 👍.

This felt like a perfect place to stay (especially, just crash) 1 or 2 nights on a budget. There were bunk beds, on one of which you get to sleep with ~6 other people. When I was visiting, the washroom and shower were clean. Only there was lots of stuff on the table and around the common places lying around. I hope they will improve some minor things. The name checks out. Has a nice wild west decoration and vibe. A beautiful poodle called it home too. The contact person, Ivan, will be enough to give it a 5 star. Other hosts were amicable as well.

You get what you pay for. Low price, quiet, in a residential area. Only two convenience stores and a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. To go other places, you need a car. This hostel is not a large place, but does not practice social distancing. No one wears masks. The living room is not spacious, impossible to maintain 6-ft distance when there are 5 or more people present. Beds are reserved till 100% occupancy. The tough part is when a bunkmate snores loudly, made worse when I have to share the same bunk with him. After two sleepless nights, I had enough and went to stay in a hotel.

Nasty place, 2 rooms filled with people, at least 9 or 10 in each with non working AC. Mostly rude nosey homeless people who have no respect for others right to get some rest. Do not waste your time and money. it is like you are sleeping in a homeless shelter!!

I called to see how the bed situation is for me and kids. He answered the phone, "yes". I said, "well good morning to you and I was calling to see if the bunk bed is $25 cause I need somewhere for me and kids to sleep." He said, "no it's not going to work out, have a good day bye." Then hung up in my face, didn't even give me the chance to ask why or if their was close hotels nearby. He already didn't know how to speak English.

Just an okay hostel. A common area more concerned with the theme than guest comfort. A bit small. A bit over priced. In the middle of dallas and ft worth with not a lot going on in the immediate area. Open to locals for long term stays, meh. I’ll stay at the Deep Ellum hostel next time.

Lives up to its name with a rustic feel at the outskirts of Irving where you get what you pay for. “6 bed deluxe dorm” ended up being a 9 bed dorm right next to a busy street and the kitchen/common area while also serving as a gateway to another dorm. Guests are mostly locals but friendly and accommodating.

Location location and location can’t beat this place for that. 4 blocks from the Dart Bus station and TRE railway station to Union station in Dallas! Sleep in a cozy bunk , get up and have a cup of coffee walk, 4 block and get on the TRE and in 20 minutes your in downtown Dallas for a fraction of the cost! Honestly the atmosphere isn’t compatible high maintenance travelers but if you are a seasoned traveler and can manage people from different socio-economic strata’s I recommend it for you.

Relatively cheap hostel tucked in Irving, TX close to Dallas. Not the most scenic area tbh or convenient. Owner was helpful though, I would like to say i was given a break as I had no current ID on me so extra star for that. I've stayed in other hostels but this one felt less travel-friendly and had more locals. Clean enough & mostly quiet. I also think the owner lives there as well. The place felt more like a halfway house with all the rules; laundry, cant cook after 9pm, must leave between 11-5pm etc. Not sure why hostel travelers should be treated like recovering alchoholics.

Stayed 2+ Weeks through a 2 month period. WORST HOSTEL IVE EVER STAYED AT AND DIRTIEST. The bathrooms were bad. The rooms were so hot in the winter I had to open a window each time. I assume the summer is unbearable since the rooms are packed very tight with little venting. Plenty of better options than this place seriously. Last thing BOOK ONLY IN PERSON Or you will lose your online reservation fee of 3$. Last several times I received no service booking online. They leave the property after 6pm, and usually don’t return calls from my experience.

Let me start by saying I stayed here for 2 weeks. (To long) the place is nasty has cockroach and the so called manager if you will. He make you feel very uncomfortable. Makes unwelcoming remarks about guest . This is my opinion. ( no one goes without sleep for days at a time without help ) one guy bragged about being put in jail because he was so high on meth. Not a very good place to stay. I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels all over the world. BUT THIS ONCE WAS THE WORST. I do not recommend this place at all . Nasty management and nasty place. Beware.

GPS kept changing closer to closing time of arrival but I called a couple times to give the updated eta. The Manager stayed on duty and showed me where to park as it was raining and difficult to see. The bed was comfortable and I had nice conversation with some guests in the morning over coffee. I will stay here again on my next road trip.

Once upon a time this hostel was clean, welcoming, and friendly. Since old house manager has left it's nothing to compare. You make your own bed, if you leave items behind forget they exist and if you have a specific request you will be ignored and treated as if they were paying you to stay there. I do not encourage anyone expecting pleasant and clean to stay there. Even prices have gone up yet no more breakfast like when Josh ran the place. Host is never present and doesn't move around until noon and responses through airbnb are inconsistent and untimely and sometimes non existent. I dread days I'm forced to settle but I would rather sleep in the street at this point then to pay 30bucks for the little offered to justify the increase in stay rate

Quick response time and service. Very chill and laid back atmosphere. Safe environment. Tammy the manager is very helpful and friendly and runs a good hostel. There are rules to follow which are basically common courtesy and obvious. If you’re in Dallas and on a budget I would highly recommend!

Such a cozy little hostel. Everyone was very friendly and Josh was so helpful with tips on what I should check out locally and more generally very accommodating. There is a cute and excitable puppy that puts the place over the top. My single complaint would be that the hostel is semi-far from most tourist destinations, but a single train or bus will get you to downtown, and since it's the only hostel in the area, I'd say all the other factors make up for that by mile.

If you're looking to save money it's 179 a week for a bunk bed and 645 a month if you pay by the month and 30 a day. No children this is a house of singles.

Really great, intimidating at first considering I'm an introvert and have never been to a hostel before. Neighborhood was great, by a really beautiful park. Breakfast in the morning was great. Everything was clean. Bunk beds were comfy. Come for the beds, stay for the puppy and kitten who reside there.

Loved the host, Tammy, she was a sweetheart. I had my own room with an exotic dancer from Kansas City and I felt safe and comfortable. I loved using their kitchen to cook eggs. I made some new friends from all over the world and realized this facility is on the Ukraine travel website.

Really nice hostel with friendly managers. One of the cheapest places around. Definitely best for the amount they charge. Clean and comfortable with easy access to buses, trains, and restaurants within walking distance. Can be in Dallas in just a few minutes if you time the the train right.

Now what I hoped for or expected. Unfortunately, the hostel is home to a lot of locals who are down on their luck and in need of cheap long term accommodation. They were certainly all friendly, but sleeping in quite cramped quarters with the many middle aged men who had evidently been living there for some time (their clothes and belongings were often out/hanging up around the room) wasn't quite I'd hoped. Young solo travellers may not feel all that comfortable. If you're a young adventurous traveler looking for a typical youth hostel where you can meet other travelers, this isn't it. How ever, if you're just in need of a cheap place to sleep for the night, this would certainly so the job.

The guy who runs the place is friendly and full of interesting stories. The place is tidy and good to stay in for a short visit - it has some nice Texan props. My night was kind of marred by a guy in my shared room who unknowingly had his earphones playing music almost all night. However, I was content with my short stay - it was a reasonable $30 for the night.

The Wild Wild Backpackers Hostel is great. Good location, everything is nearby, from food, shopping and etc. Everything you need to feel comfortable is all here. The hotel itself is very cozy and positive vibes. Tammy is the best. I have stayed at other hostels but she knows how to treat her customers with respect plus she is so much fun. If your in Dallas Texas then make sure you stop by and check in for a great time. One last thing this hostel has privacy. Everyone treats each other with respect because of the positive vibes. Thank you Tammy for the great service.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I called for information, as I’m trying to help a homeless young girl with an infant. This is all new to me, so I had questions. The employee/owner answered and immediately hung up. I then received a text message from a different number saying, “text me”. After asking my questions, this was the response I got… ➡️”Plus why would you put someone with an infant in a place with bad reviews, that you already have doubts abt?” * “Cause it's cheap?” * “Safe yourself the trouble, spent triple the money , and find a suitable spot for a mother with a kid”. WOW!!

This is nothing but a dope house. You got people there creep walking and fake sleeping and act as if you owe them something. The owner a Mr. Ivan is only interested in how much money he can be at you out of and has his crew of liars that are there to try and set you up. I was assaulted and👍 when I defended myself they all the house roaches people tried to lie and have me arrested. Plus the owner owes me money and is❣️ taking his sweet Tim refunding it back to me. THE PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN
