Great spray ground! Lots of room for everyone. Barely noticed a big birthday party going on. Also lots of playing fields. Parking can fill up on a Saturday.

Tennis courts are nice. Would be great if dogs will not poop on the tennis courts. It's just not right.

Nice park, lots of tennis courts which are not using. No pickleball court. Couple of pickleball courts would be great to complete a completed park.

Great spot in the middle of a bunch of buildings. Shaded, clean, and safe. It is downright glorious during the fall. There are team sport areas for soccer and softball. There are also a set of tennis courts. We love the fact that there is a splash pad and a toddler play area that’s gated. We also like that it’s next to a library.

Not a huge park but big enough to have a short ten minute walk through and has a picnic area with bbq grills, two playgrounds, plenty of space to play soccer, basketball and tennis courts, two dog play areas, and a baseball field. What’s also great about it is it’s so close to many restaurants, shops and metro station.

Was a much better place before they removed large stretches of fence from each softball field. Each of those fields had gates you could (literally) drive a truck through. They could have been left open when not in use for softball. Apparently that wasn't good enough, so we had to spend money to make things worse. Quality planning, that.

While visiting the museums in the area I decided to use the park as a center of operations. One museum opened at 10 AM and the other opened at 1 PM. So I had lots of time between. This park is wonderful. It has tennis courts, baseball diamonds, lots of shade, lots of playgrounds, water foundations, and the best restrooms I have seen in public park. They have A/C! Also lots of parking lots, close to the library, and its free wi-fi! Lots of people enjoying it too. They also had dog runs for the good boys. And it looks like some public or private gardens. Lots of places to sit down and read or have a meal. And very clean.

This review is specifically for the splashpad and playground. If you have a small kid that needs to be entertained, this is a great place to come. There is a library, playground, and splashpad, so you can bounce between activities and change what you're doing very easily. Just come prepared (towel, swimsuit) and check library hours first.

bustling park with a nice turf field, basketball courts, trails, and tennis courts. The lights stay on until about 10 o'clock pm. They also have restrooms, they arent the cleanest but they are functional. Some picnic tables as well and sizable parking lot. Sometimes you may still need to park on a nearby street if it is a busy time of day (after work)

Very clean and well maintained park with multiple activity fields and courts. Some street parking and a small lot which could be better.

Ah, the tennis courts at this location are awesome!!. Well, as far as I am concerned. I was looking for a tennis court during my vacations. Found this park. Free entrance. Free use of the place. No questions asked. Beautiful clean place. Would I go back there? I absolutely would. Do I recommend it? Do you like tennis? Yes? Then yes

This park has everything . Basketball, tennis courts, ballfield. There’s parking and if you need to use the restroom, there’s a bathroom in the little house by the field.

Nice park in the middle of a busy area. Squirrels here like to approach humans in search of food. Pro or Con? Park is nice though. Has Playgrounds, Turf fields, Basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields. Really nice park.

I love how big this park is and how many different kinds of sports can be played here... basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, baseball. There are also a few nice play places for children, a splash pad, a couple dog parks, some dining pavilions, and public restrooms. They even have WiFi available in some areas.

Nice clean park. A couple of playgrounds, nice sports fields (tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball ++). Only keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the bathroom facilities aren't the best and it seems something always is in disrepair and it takes forever before it gets fixed

As a tennis player, the courts at VA Highlands are some of the best public courts in the region. Very well maintained, lit, and even a practice wall. The park as a whole is excellent, it’s very vibrant and there’s always something going on. Plenty of fields for play, restrooms, and a playground & splash pad for the kids. Parking is usually paid, but street parking is free, and Pentagon City metro isn’t too far of a walk

One of our favorite parks as they have something for the entire family! My husband plays basketball while I play tennis and the kids either plating at the water park or soccer field. There are bathrooms there which are convenient and there’s a trail to walk!
