This is by far the nicest village in Arlington County! Right off of 395 ! It has a movie theater, a live theatre, grocery store, drug store! Many really good restaurants and a sports bar! An ice cream shop! Bakery! Sandwich shop and many other little boutiques. I come by here 3 to 7 days a week! It is just a great little place to go despite Arlington County meddling in its affairs ! That is the only negative about it!

Small shopping district near DC with lots of food options from around the world as well as multiple specialty stores. Best Buns Bakery is one of the highlights. It's a good place to spend the morning with kids or walking the dog.

This is a nice place to come to get something to eat. There are lots of restaurants, and other shops that are interesting as well. The signature theater is here, and they do great shows.

Too-adorable collection of small-feel shops, services, eateries, etc., with an achor problem: ain't really got one. Parking can be a bit of a chore but not discouraging. It is a pleasant area for walking anyway, and there is fudge, or lobster, or baked goods, or many other indulgences, awaiting. Not just food, either, but I talk about what I know. This area is great for early dates or to be seen while dining in LOTS of places with BIG windows, nearly all of which also offer cozy nooks and consistently above-average (if pricey, though still reasonably so) fare!

The village at Shirlington was great. There was plenty of opportunities for night life, plenty of places to dine and a great assortment of food. Pleasant at day or night.Parking was very accommodating for those who either the time one needs.if using the hotel there is a shutter that gives you the ability to not be frustrated where to park as long as you are sightseeing.

This shopping center is the heart of the neighborhood, indeed is the neighborhood, and has been since the Shirlington Village was established decades ago. What makes the community so deeply enjoyable is the easy friendships across generations the Village brings to life. Not unlike Old Town Alexandria, the community brings together people of different ages and backgrounds to a myriad of shops and restaurants making it easy to connect with others and find a local haunt to call your own.

Wonderful area. They have sip and walk events. We saw dogs walking everywhere. There was even a dog bakery. Tons of delicious places to eat and a wide variety of cuisine. We really love this little area.

I recently had the pleasure of exploring the Village at Shirlington, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. This charming community hub offers a vibrant and diverse range of experiences that cater to various interests and tastes. One of the highlights of the Village at Shirlington is its incredible selection of dining options. From cozy cafes to trendy eateries, there is something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, the culinary choices here are plentiful and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the diverse range of cuisines available, allowing me to explore different flavors and culinary traditions. Beyond the food scene, the Village at Shirlington also offers a delightful shopping experience. The boutique stores and specialty shops provide a unique selection of products, making it a great place to find one-of-a-kind items. The atmosphere is inviting and conducive to leisurely strolls, allowing you to discover hidden gems and support local businesses. What truly sets the Village at Shirlington apart is its sense of community. The area is vibrant and bustling, with a diverse mix of people and activities. There are often events and festivals held in the village, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. The community spirit is palpable, and it's evident that residents and visitors alike take pride in being a part of this vibrant neighborhood. The Village at Shirlington is also well-connected and easily accessible. The ample parking options, along with convenient public transportation connections, make it hassle-free to visit. I appreciated the ease of navigating the area and the accessibility it offers to people from various locations. While the Village at Shirlington is undoubtedly a fantastic place to spend time, I did find the crowds and occasional congestion to be a minor inconvenience. It's a popular destination, especially during peak hours and weekends, so a little patience may be required. However, the overall experience is still worth it.

A little bit of everything in the Village. Restaurants are great. We enjoyed treats at Best Buns. Ginger Crinkle cookies are superb.

Went for Cinco de Mayo. Very crowd, as to be expected but still came in under the estimated time for a 2 top. Food was great. I wasn't a fan of the margaritas but my friend loved them. I probably should have gotten the basic one instead of a flavored kind.

I thought it was a very crowded place to visit but it had ample parking in Garages. Just drive very slow since people are constantly crossing in front of your car! I was at Busboys and Poets restaurant which I enjoyed the food and my co-workers company very much so all in all, it was a great day!

My daughter and I ate at Carlyle tonight. We had the deviled eggs for a starter. We then split the Mango Chicken and Spiced Pecan Salad, with our Sweetwater Perfect Margaritas. Everything was absolute perfection! Highly recommend!!

I enjoy this place. It has great restaurants and there’s an event from time to time. I believe it could look better if they either paint the buildings or at least power wash the walls and ceilings. It looks kinda dirty, but overall is a good place to enjoy for the afternoon.

  • 5/5 Arlen M. 5 months ago on Google
We love staying, dining, and shopping in Shirlington. Busboys & Poets is a favorite. Their menu is excellent, no matter your food restrictions/choices. Also, Le Village Marche is a must stop for gifts each year.

This area used to be nice, now is just ok. Restaurants removed all the outdoor tables, it looks death boring. Not sure why made this move I am sure they will lose business, customers are looking for comfort and this area doesn’t provide it anymore, what a shame

Went to eat at Palette 22 & we tried quite a few of the plates. The shrimp tacos, Brussels sprouts & sausage/peppers pizza were standouts while bao buns & cheeseburger sliders were also very good. Want to go back & try the fried chicken sliders!

Great little area for a quick nab or leisurely al fresco lunch. Plenty of restaurants to satisfy any craving your heart desires... Indian, Thai, Mexican, Pub fare, American, burgers, coffee, etc. I just love meandering around the Village or sitting on a bench, and people watch during nicer weather.

Great to walk around with lots of treat and food options. Added bonus with entertainment both with the theatres there, live artists performing periodically, and even themed holiday events. Make sure to take advantage of the free parking decks.

Such a cool experience. This place is designed for young working professionals, single or couples, no kids. Very pet friendly if that is what you like. A small little town wrapped up in the size of a football field. Everything you need from grocery store to coffee shop, bars and even a movie theater. So if you are young and single this place would be ideal to live. There are plenty of condos and plenty of parking and walking trails and the scenery is peaceful.

I love this square! I used to come here often when I lived in the DMV area and was very happy I could see it during my brief visit to the area. It is walkable and with plenty of options for food and other.

I ordered the Grilled Rosemary Chicken sandwich and it was delicious! I went at lunchtime with my coworkers and it was pretty empty so service was good and fast. They give you popcorn as a little free appetizer but it was cold and stale. Overall, it's a decent restaurant but not somewhere I would frequent often.

I should have taken pictures of the food to go with the menu... Next time. I gave it 3 stars because the food was good but not for the price. The sodas are their special root, not typical Coke or Pepsi.

From start to finish we had an immaculate service not to mention the FOOOOOOOOODDDD so very fresh tasty and scrumptious. Great location price is great for the service and food received. Love the Assorted bread basket for $1 which goes straight to charity, feeding the homeless in the community. I don't get here often because I live out in Fairfax but I don't mind coming here because it's conveniently located right off I-395. Easy in and easy out. It gets five stars for the free parking, the number of good restaurants available to choose from, and the nice vibes from the brick main drag.

My husband and I went to Guapo's, and it was delicious. We went on a Wednesday, the day after Valentine's Day, so it wasn't crowded. Our waitress was EXCELLENT. She was very friendly and professional. She made really good suggestions on the menu and for drinks. It was an overall great date night, and we look forward to going back again. I had the Salmon with a mango saucel, and my husband had the shredded beef with grilled veggies. We both recommend our dishes.

Beautiful area to walk around. There are a diverse variety of places to eat and drink. You can open carry beverages here for their sip and stroll. The village is my usual go to for a place to eat, although parking is an absolute nightmare and fight to the death. Very chaotic and you spend much time trying to find a spot. Once you do though, it’s very easy to spend a lot of time here.

We were pleased to return to Samuel Beckett's today for lunch after three years. The restaurant still offers a menu of lunch favorites like sandwiches and salads. It is a quiet uncrowded place at lunchtime where one can enjoy a pleasant lunch fearuring good food and conversation.

So many wonderful restaurants and shops. Every restaurant I have tried has been delicious. There is a great dog park nearby. Walking around the village is easy and safe. There is no metro train, but there is a bus depot. If you are looking for a place to live, this place is perfect, but rarely has openings in the few condo buildings.

Washington DC was beautiful and the Guapo's was excellent! The food was fantastic, the staff was timely and attentive, and the atmosphere was so fun. Would definitely go back and recommend to eat there.

We love coming here, but the recurring theme is parking and unless you take a bus or bicycle here, it can be tedious. There are so many different places to eat or shop at. The AMC theater is easy to get to.

Nice place to visit. It is a very pet friendly area so if people are afraid of dogs, be aware. I've never encountered any that were aggressive. The plaza always reminds me of Miami towns.

The VaS offers many ways to have a good time from Signature theatre, AMC, various types of restaurants i.e. Chinese, Mexican, Thai, Pizza, and my favorite Busboys and Poets. There is a grocery store and a CVS and you can catch a happy hour at Pallet 22 or Dudley's sports bar while you watch the game. If you are unsure of what you'd like, I recommend VaS because eventually you will figure it out, and the options will be right at your disposal.

Very nice place for a date! Big fan of the drunken noodles! The staff are very friendly and will always look out for you. Will definitely recommend this place.

Quaint stores and friendly people are what the Village offers. I love the food selections and the fact the area is extremely family oriented and that includes our furry family. The weather was perfect, no issues finding parking and just a great time with my friend and family.

👍 I'm not sure why this is listed as a shopping mall. As this is an office building with an LA Fitness on the ground floor and the other parts of the building are pretty much vacant as it has been sitting unrented for quite a while. There is a new tenant, a German grocery store conglomerate call Lidl....
