Nice local neighborhood Sports Bar. The beer was cold and the food was excellent. We were in town and found this gem. Long “L” shape bar with dinning tables in the back. Plenty of TV’s to watch the games on. The menu has plenty of choices and of course the swings are the best. Give it a try. Please hit “Like” if this was helpful. Thanks.

This sports bar is excellent. Always have a good time here. The food is a great price and tasty. There are tons of TVs and lots of food options. Great for groups. I would come back. It's def a sports vibe with tons of attendees. Highly recommend!

First Down Sports Bar is a decent bar to go to if you’re in the Ballston area. When I first walked in, I will say the smell was not too pleasant.. it smelled a little old and humid. I was there during their happy hour and took advantage of their rail drinks which are only $4.99! I got a bourbon with pineapple and cranberry. The food was honestly way better than I expected. I ordered a chicken wrap with spicy garlic butter... it was on point!

I don’t know how they get such good reviews. I have been here twice and the service gets worse. It’s a dive bar with greasy food. The waitress wouldn’t change the channel during the draft stating she wasn’t authorized and also directed us to available tables in the back, to find out there weren’t any. Went back to the bar and she never took our order or served us a single beer. Our service was through another waiter who did a great job in ensuring he covered for the other inept employee and also changed the golf channel to the NFL Draft.

The absolute best bar on the planet. I have been coming here since they opened. There are no better wings anywhere. And every member of the staff is Grade-A people. I'm the guy getting a shot of jack with a jack and diet. If you want to ask me in person! Lol. 😎

Sunday football 🏈 playoffs! My Cowboys lost… 😖 Fantastic friendly fun service from Talia & Crew. Wings, waffle fries, ample libations, genuine draught Guinness! —🍺 🍻 A finely awesome time with your pals! 👍👍🏽👍🏿 ————— Cool little hangout, actually bigger than appears from Fairfax Drive, with large back room huge enough for a good group gathering. Excellent sports viewing and sliders to nosh. Fantastic table service by Teo & his bro’s make your Sunday game losses bearable. 😎 ————— Delish wings, finely seasoned and cooked just right. For me, the burger was perfect, a perfect end to a very busy day. Drinks made by Slick-Barkeep Anthony (and on occasion, Manager Paul) real down and done rightly. The tv’s are positioned well, not too loud, and show just about all that day’s live sports & such commentary you can enjoy free. Not too expensive, a good choice for you to splurge for yourself and on a buddy you care about. However, this is indeed the NoVa area, and you are sitting yourself in Ballston [“Little Manhattan”] so understand if you just arrived from Ottumwa Iowa, Milwaukee Wisconsin, or perhaps Tucson Arizona that prices are commensurate with the government blowing up the economy fast with a nonstop flood of your tax dollars. [And if you are lucky enough to benefit from the gov’t paying out more and more and more, then please leave a generous tip at the bar or on your table. These dudes earn it so!] See y’all at the zinc! ~Newmie 🙏🙏🏽🙏🏿🇺🇸🤠

The fries were so stale, the bbq wings were in not BBQ but... tomato sauce??? 🤣🤣🤣 And the employees were either creepy or rude af (the older bald guy has the worst attitude). A weird thing happened with my bill too-- they charged me almost twice the actual amount at first, then refunded it partially a couple days later. See other reviews, this appears to be a trend. Sketchy. Used to like this place and its divey charm, but it's a bonafide dump now- I'm not coming back.

The wings are absolutely delicious. Been there a few times now. My mother visited 5 years ago and all she could remember was how good they were so I came back with her.

Awesome dive sports bar. While the beer never seems to be very cold, the food is great and service is friendly. They play all the NFL games on prelabeled tvs, and play game sound for one game at a time. For some reason, it's hard to find a sports bar around here that plays game sound!

Stopped in for a quick drink. Ordered some Spicy Blue Cheese wings and OMG! They were so good. We had the Blue Cheese Madness as well. Will be back again

👍👍 UPDATE** I returned last night for dinner with the family and tried different menu items. The kids' meal was a great bargain and gave a lot of food. The broccoli was sautéed to perfection, and the garlic shrinp rolls were delicious. The house salad was also good and had a tasty dressing. All the sta...
