This trip wasn't the best. The biscuits were really salty. The dish I ordered came with biscuits, but someone smashed them on my plate, I couldn't even eat them. The fried chicken was bland, and greens tasted wrong. The waffle was almost soggy soft. Not my first time, but might be my last, I was so disappointed with my meal I couldn't even eat it. It was so bad I almost cried. Best thing was the fried green tomatoes! except for the basil chiffonade, it's cut too big and really shouldn't on the plate it should be pureed.

By far, it is the best restaurant in the DMV area. Every touch was well thought out. The executive chef made sure the food was cooked with love and passion. The decor is adorable. Everyone we interacted with was beyond friendly/helpful. I can't wait to be back. Don't forget to purchase your Tupelo honey during your visit. The only complaint was that our server did not ask how cooked we wanted the burger, and it was overcooked. However, everything else was cooked and flavored properly. We order a lot of food so we could try things. It was all beyond amazing! Large but delicious portions.

Definitely one of my favorite places I’ve enjoyed in a long time. I ordered the Sriracha Honey Chicken and Waffles and my brother ordered the chicken that’s been marinated I forgot the name. However, it was delicious. The waffle was the perfect texture and the chicken had the right amount of crunch and tenderness. We both had a Paloma which just made everything right(perfect). The staff was amazing Lawrence the general manager, Tim and Jim really took care of us. When I am back in the area I would definitely return with a smile.

The restaurant is large, bustling and in a nice neighborhood with great people watching. They specialize in chicken and waffles with 4 variations on the menu. Wasn’t a fan. The chicken was breaded but no real flavor, just batter and it was overcooked and too dry. The waffles were buttermilk which sounds cool but it made them floppy like pancakes instead of firm like a waffles. I’d give them another shot if I have folks in town because of the ambiance… but won’t recommend the chicken and waffles.

Loved the classic fried chicken platter at the original Tupelo Honey. A much homier experience than the one I visited in Milwaukee a few years ago. We sat outside in their closed in seating area and service was attentive. Very glad we checked it out on a quick trip to Asheville, NC. You should too.

Casual & comfy restaurant with a good choice of tasty dishes! The portions are also well balanced and are not loaded with extra calories. Will be back to try other dishes!!

First time going to this location. It is a very clean establishment with good service and a casual yet refined ambience. Good for grabbing a meal and/or some drinks with friends. As for the food? A mix of standard southern fare adapted to a more modern presentation and audience. I got the half chicken which came with one side - the chicken was a tad bit smaller than I thought it would be and not as crispy as I hoped (I like crispy fried chicken), but otherwise had decent flavor to it. The Brussel sprouts it came with, however, were quite enjoyable - I’d probably order them as a separate side next time I go. Price wise everything is what you’d expect of Arlington - that being rather high - but it doesn’t take away that much from the experience. All in all a solid place to grab a meal.

My friend and I had the day off for the holiday and wanted some southern comfort food. This certainly was not it at all. It was rather bland & from the time I got my food, my friend had to wait an additional 15 mins to get theirs. I think they were understaffed for the amount of orders & dine in guest which overall, took away from the experience. Everything was just all over the place. The banana pudding was good but small. We got the regular so I can only imagine what the mini looks like. I had been wanting to try this place for a while now and it was disappointing. I wanted so bad to recommend this restaurant to others but I can’t.

My husband and I had a lunch date here one Friday and we had the best experience. We made a 11 AM reservations and were a few minutes late. It wasn’t busy yet, as they had just opened and we beat the lunch rush. The service was great. The host and server were attentive and friendly. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was tasty with the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles. The food was great, service was also and we never felt rushed. We will be back.

My third time at this location and it didn't disappoint. I'm a vegetarian so trying to find available options for breakfast can be a chore, but not impossible. I was able to swap meat for veggie sausage and it's great. I don't know for sure (maybe it's a Tupelo Honey secret) but the veggie sausage tastes alot like the morning star brand except crispy and absolutely delicious. As I said in a previous review, I went for the pancakes and stayed for the grits. I was sad that sweet potato pancakes are no longer on the menu, but the creamy grits and eggs along with the blueberry waffles more than made up for it. I really enjoy coming to this place and next time I plan to enjoy a few of their specialty cocktails. Really clean and inviting atmosphere and a great place to socialize with friends, either outside on the small patio or inside. I will definitely be returning. Update 8/20/2022 - I went again this morning and this time added a few photos of my meal. The classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, grits, and toast, and also opted for the blueberry waffles. Yummy!! Finished it off with a Tupelo Honey Margarita made with their house made honey liqueur. Go on down and visit. You won't regret it. I've included a shot of the menu too.

This was my 1st visit to Tupelo Honey. The hosts greeted us and was very pleasant. We did NOT have a reservation (it was 11amon a Saturday) so there was a wait...and we opted to go to the bar, which was full service. We both ordered the steak & eggs. The kitchen accidentally swapped my medium well steak with my cousins medium done steak... the potatoes or fried potato salad... whatever that was- OH MY GOOD LORD, it stole the show! It was my favorite part of the meal! I was disappointed with the chicken because it needed some salt, and had absolutely zero seasoning ( I've heard it was better from a few friends, maybe it was an oversight when I was there... and they just didn't season after pulling from the grease) Now, the salt they have is a Celtic sea salt... in the grinder... but the salt was MOIST in the grinder and this was because they didn't replace the covers on the grinder... I was totally grossed out. The bartender apologized and brought another topless salt grinder... the salt was less wet than the 1st. Our mimosas were tasty... I would be willing to give another visit, based on the potatoes alone!

Beautiful location. Fast and friendly. Staff was amazing as well. Not too busy and food came out right by away hot and fresh. I believe our servers name is Kim. She was great and gave us some great recommendations and was ontop of refills and clearing the table fast. Will be coming back. First time here and many more to come thank you for an amazing morning today

This is a restaurant where you will come for the comfort food. When it’s raining, you had a rough day or want a lazy night this is the place to eat. The server was wonderfully and so helpful. The food was great and made me order a second round.

Creative take on Southern style comfort food in the big city. Far past any expectations you have. Ambience- Warm and inviting look. Wearing a suit all week it’s nice to see the flannel uniforms. Even the sizzle resonating from kitchen was uniquely southern. Cleanliness-Clean place overall. We did get there at 9am. Outside seating area looked great. The temp was 2.0 degrees so we couldn’t enjoy this. Menu- Sirachia Chicken is a must. Presentation-Southern class on a plate. Price- a little on the high side but who isn’t now a days. Service-TRUST ME on this ask for Shineeta. She felt more like a friend than a serving professional. Do your self a favor and breakaway from the norm. T Honey is the place to go!

This was my first time having Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! Food was fresh and favorable! Customer service was over the top. There wasn't one person that we encountered that didn't make us feel welcome! Reasonably priced and really good portions. We couldn't decide so...we didn't lol! We ordered a lot though!! They also have a very well stocked bar area and have great outdoor seating that is out of the way of those passing by. The atmosphere was so friendly we could've stayed all day!! We didn't try everything and this gives us a reason to go back!! parking available on Wilson Blvd ( longshot... it IS Arlington;) Great thing they are very closely situated next to a parking garage;)

Friends and I met here for a late brunch outing - it was packed but service was absolutely amazing - we ordered the mimosas (variety to choose from) for our entrees we each ordered chicken and waffles (many different selections of chicken flavored) I had the traditional chicken and waffles. The waffles are nice and fluffy, the fried boneless chicken was too fatty for my liking, I will not order the chicken again (chicken was well seasoned). Friends ordered Siracha chicken and waffles (was not aware that the siracha sauce is pores over the waffles and not the chicken) that was interesting. Cocktails were delicious! If you’re in Arlington and looking for a nice place for brunch..with great service and food, I highly recommend this location

This place is on a quiet street. The staff were super nice and attentive. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy, the biscuits tasted like someone's grandma made them, and everything else was just superb. It was such a nice brunch! I will definitely be coming back.

Looking for a tasty Brunch spot in Arlington, look no further! Tupelo Honey puts a southern twist on all their dishes. From delicious fried green tomatoes to pancake shoo mercy (pictured) was DELICIOUS the best pancakes I’ve ever had!!!! The brussel sprouts were a little under cooked but the fried green tomatoes were melt in your mouth delicious. This place is super busy on the weekends especially for Brunch so be sure to grab your reservation early! Check Tupelo Honey out their unique dishes will surely have you coming back for more!

Parking isn’t free here but it’s worth checking out. Service is very good. The atmosphere is very nice. And the food is great. This was our first time and won’t be the last. We started off with fried green tomatoes, which were excellent. For main meals I had fried chicken and waffles and my wife had the same but with siracha. Very tasty.

Since my wife and I work in Arlington, we figured we'd explore the dining edition of our working environment. This was definitely an excellent choice. The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere were dope. Our server was engaged the whole time and made it easy for us to make our dining selections. The decor was nice too. We're definitely coming back again.

The new happy hour menu is pretty good. The price of some food increased by $1 since the last time I was here but now they offer value meals which is great. Definitely recommend coming for happy hour to try the place out. Definitely worth it. Food and drinks are amazing especially the fried green tomatoes and purple people eater.

Great service and great happy hour prices! I wasn’t a big fan of the waffles but the chicken taste really good. I LOVED the pecan pie! Our server was excellent and the service was pretty quick. Close to the office and cozy environment. I would try their full menu next time.

We were greeted by very friendly and nice staff. The food was very good and not bland as some other reviews claim. The potato crackling for an appetizer were excellent. The hot chicken and waffles were juicy and flavorful. The choclate spoon cake was very tasty. The lavender lemonade was refreshing. Overall, would dine here again!

This restaurant sits right on the corner of a cute little area of Arlington, VA. We traveled from Pennsylvania (about 6 hour drive). As soon as we walked in, we were greeted & seated. Our waiters name was Jerry. He was SO friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable and gave us some of the best recommendations. I got the chicken & waffles and it was AMAZING. Our food came out fast. Great customer service. I also got a mega size regular mimosa & it was delicious. The bartender was not stingy on the champagne lol. We will definitely be back again soon!

lovely southern restaurant with friendly service. we had no reservation (we went in around 2pm on a monday) and we were seated immediately. we got the lunch combo roast beef sandwich with baked mac n cheese + fries, plus the country-style fried chicken and waffles. so good and the portion was very generous. would 100% go again!!

It was all right but I would never go back, the bartender couldn’t handle 3 drink orders and 3 food orders at the same time. The food was good but nothing that was absolutely to die for. If your in the area it’s not the worst, but maybe check out other spots.

Brunch was so good we decided to come back for dinner. We didn’t find a single thing we disliked between the 7 diners over two meals. Great southern food. Get the biscuits so you have an excuse to eat their blueberry jam. Fried chicken is amazing. Service was good and the food came out of the kitchen fast.

It’s got a nice vibe inside, menu options were interesting and were really good. Serving size was ample enough to fill you up, probably not good to share, best bet is to order a few and share those if you have a big crowd.

This was my first time here. I came here for my birthday and it was a pretty okay experience but it could’ve been better. The food was fine. The chicken and waffles here were so good. The brussel sprouts were kinda bland however everything else was pretty good. The biscuits were okay. The waiter though I probably saw him 1-2 times the entire night. He never came back to refill my water, I did ask but he never came. I had to ask another waiter to help us out. I just feel he could’ve been a lot more attentive and present. The experience was weird honestly. I didn’t feel welcome the food was good though

The chicken and waffles were delicious! I kinda wish it came with more gravy but overall I would definitely order it again. We devoured our food so quickly- it was THAT good. The service was slightly slow but they were really crowded

I had a great first visit to Tupelo honey. The food was served hot and seasoned deliciously. I did not care for my first drink so the waitress let me swap it out. The second was better but it just lacked an appealing flavor in my opinion. Other than that, I had an amazing time.
