They do a price fixed menu here for brunch which is absolutely wonderful. Not everything on the menu is out of this world, but there's plenty of really great dishes here. It's all you can eat so you can try dishes and see which ones you really like. They have .25¢ cocktails for brunch, the wine punch and peach Bellinis are my favorites. The atmosphere is beautiful as well, and the servers here are great.

I have been to this couple times and had a great experience. I went there in a group without making any reservation but we were able to get a table right away. There is also outdoor seating available. We ordered a variety of large platters, both seafood and meet. The food tasted really fresh and flavorful. Meat and cheese platter was also delightful, perfectly complementing the wine. Staffs were very friendly and attentive during the whole dinner service. I highly recommend this restaurant for some great balkan cuisine.

This is my first time at Ambar Balkan Cuisine and I must say it was quite an experience! The venue is super cute and the food is absolutely exquisite! For a flat rate I was able to try a little bit of everything because the entrees are served in small plate (tapas) format. Kate, my server for the afternoon, was as cute as a button and made great recommendations. Two words: drunken mussels! Ambar is great for dining solo or with your besties for lunch or brunch. 10/10! I will definitely come again!

We went for restaurant week. The service was on point with the unlimited small plates flowing constantly to our table. The food was delicious with the hangar steak and potatoes being an amazing gourmet taste of home. The salmon was so fresh and well cooked it didn't come off as fishy. Nothing was bad only one or 2 things were just good but not special. Do your self a favor book an all you can eat brunch and enjoy a taste experience.

My friend and I came here for dinner Thursday night. Weren’t noticed by the stuff for about 15 minutes, when we placed an order, we were asked to pay in the middle of our meal. It’s was around 9pm and the restaurant was still very crowded and popping. Food came out super quickly. We ordered 5 dishes and Caesar salad was excellent. Grilled Veggies were served cold, Fresh Cut French Fries wasn’t what I expected but was not bad. Overall, the food was great unlike service.

Great for a boozy brunch! The unlimited tapas and drinks for 0.25$ is a fantastic deal. The food quality was way better than I expected for unlimited. The interior was well lit and cleanly decorated. Even though there was a 2 hour time limit, we did not feel rushed.

Fantastic place for a bottomless food restaurant. Each dish was very unique and had lots of taste. Highly recommend going with friend because it's small dishes meant for sharing. The menu is very broad and diverse so even if you're vegetarian you'll have tons of options. Unfortunately if you're vegan though you're out of luck. Mostly everything has cheese. Overall 10/10 experience with a great ambiance to top it off.

Atmosphere is really good. Good cocktails and drinks but this time we didn’t get good taste of food. We been there 2 years ago and we remembered good taste of food. This time unfortunately we didn’t taste good, cheese pie was dry and hard , Balkan kebabs was chewy and dry, lasagne was heavy. Restaurant was full during the dinner time and they are doing probably double seating. We will try on the future again and see how are they doing.

We've eaten here probably half a dozen times and Ambar NEVER disappoints! The food is always outstanding, we've never had a bad or bland dish. We've also lucked into the same waiter, John, twice in a row now and he is very funny and makes great suggestions. Today was the first day we did lunch and went with the $25 unlimited small plates option. Tremendous value for the price!

Ambar Clarendon spots is one of my favorites in the Arlington area. Everything on the menu is delicious and the ambiance is superb. They have a wide variety of drinks and cocktails. I've been here for the brunch special and also dinner specials. My favorite things on the menu are the flatbread, chicken, salmon, roasted peppers. Event on the menu is a must try. I highly recommend

We got the experience for dinner and it was well worth it. All the food we tried was really good. The gnocchi, chicken stroganoff and beet carpaccio were my favorites. They also noticed it was my birthday and brought out a cute (and delicious) dessert! Everyone was so sweet and it made it all the better

Stopped in while traveling for work and enjoyed a great meal. The decor and service were both excellent. Presentation of the food was simple but elegant. It was fun to try all the different dishes and the food was great overall (bar the fish dishes, which were cooked well but a bit underseasoned). Will definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

This place is an absolute vibe. Yhe aesthetic is absolutely beautiful with big windows and natural lighting. The menu is definitely something to explore. It's different, it's unique and worth the try. My friend and I tried many different meals, and fyi, the food is all you can eat. So you can keep ordering over and over. The drinks are strong and super tasty. I did take away one star because of the steak. It was super chewy and I think mine was mostly fat. The table beside us said theirs wasn't as chewy and maybe I didn't get a good one but it's still worth trying. The service was amazing. They are extremely attentive and friendly people. The entire staff did a great job for every customer that walked through the door.

I have been to the location in the Capitol Hill before and really liked it. We decided to try this location and got lunch. It’s a really good deal coming here for a weekday lunch. It was not busy, and the waitresses were very attentive. Of course, we ate so much and enjoyed ourselves!

TLDR: this place is pretty good overall. Fairly quick service, great food, and a good ambiance. Now for the people who like to read a little more, this place is worth the time and money. You’re definitely going to need a reservation for brunch on the weekend. Each reservation is for 2 hours. See the individual categories below for more info. Parking: You’ll want to park in the garage across the street. It’s $8 for 2 hours so not that bad there. Service: It took a little bit of time for a table to get ready. They tried to put us downstairs at first but magically had a table upstairs after the manager overheard my girlfriend say “don’t forget to check in to Yelp”. Not sure if her comment had anything to do with it but thought it was worth mentioning. Our server was prompt in getting our orders. And the food came out just as quick. I was shocked at the speed. The only downside is that dessert took a while and so did the check. Food: The food was great overall. The potato hash is a must order! The spices they use on the potatoes is to die for. The cheeseburger slider is also a must order. Easily the favorite “entree” ordered. Wasn’t a huge fan of the salmon Benedict but it could just be me. Ambiance: The ambiance of the upstairs is awesome. It’s super bright and the plants make it feel modern. It’s lively and makes it feel like you’re at an upscale brunch spot. The ambiance of downstairs is totally different. It’s like an old style restaurant and has a cool vibe. Just wasn’t what we were looking for for a brunch setting. Overall it was a great experience. I’d say that the few snafus weren’t enough to ruin the experience. The manager definitely made amends for any slow service at the end.

Wonderful spot for date night with dozens of dishes to choose from for a flat rate. First time here and certainly had eyes bigger than my stomach. I don't have any specific thing to recommend because EVERYTHING was so good. Also plenty of vegetarian dishes that are all packed with flavor. Atmosphere is cozy and staff was very friendly, single downside of the night was because they were so busy it took 15+ minutes to get my server's attention to pay and leave

It’s really fun to come with your friends for their popular brunch. You can try everything on the menu. Food is really good. Didn’t try one thing I don’t like. Recommend

Three of us went there for brunch on Sunday afternoon. We did make a reservation but our high top table was unavailable and we were seated at a window seat that leaked water. Brunch was a fixed menu, majority of the items were delicious, steak varied from med to well done, waffles, and cinnamon truffle with Nutella, Balkan salad etc. Peach Bellini and berry mimosa were a great compliment to the menu items. The aperitif drink was strong and delicious. Reasons for not getting five stars: there was a condescending hostess that stared us down upon our entrance and was rude, the food took 20minutes to come out but at the end it took 3-5minutes to be brought to the table, and it would’ve nice to have low playing music to add to the ambiance.

We were very excited to try their all you can eat menu! We waited at least 15 minutes at our table to get our food ordered so ended up notifying the restaurant manager, after which we were immediately taken care of. Majority of small plates were really good (dip platter, fried chicken, French fries, croquettes), and the food was coming in non stop and pretty quick! After the slow start, I think everything went very smoothly and the manager once again apologised and gave us a thank you treat as well! Overall, I would recommend this place if you are curious to try Balkan dishes!

Went here for a large (15 person) birthday dining event. It was 2 hours of bottomless brunch and not a soul in our party left hungry. The service was top notch and they made sure the food was non stop, it was almost overwhelming to have copious amounts of small plates just being thrown at my taste buds, but so delicious. There were a couple of other birthdays at the same time, so everyone knows it’s a good place for a party.

It was my birthday yesterday so I went here on my daughter's recommendation. It was my first time visiting a restaurant in the Balkan, so I was excited and looking forward to it. First of all, the bright and understated kindness of the staff was pleasant enough. Since all you can eat, I ordered tomato soup first. I was happy because the bowl was so pretty, but the soup was by far the best tomato soup I've ever had. The food we ordered was served quickly and accurately, so it's a pity that we ate it all without taking a picture. As my eldest daughter expressed, the food at this restaurant gives a warm feeling like a home. We all agreed. The food and staff (Mr. Michele) of this restaurant make it the number one restaurant in my life. I will definitely visit this place again and would like to say thank you. Every time food was served on my birthday, the food was so warm and delicious that it made me excited, so much so that I forgot everything and enjoyed it.

My boyfriend and I came for an anniversary dinner and had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic and because it was Thursday, we enjoyed the live music downstairs. The truffle gnocchi was our favorite dish. We’ll definitely be returning!

The ambience was really peaceful!! My party was there for the brunch experience. The waitress was friendly and explained everything on the menu. She did suggest her favorite items without being prompted. We decided to order everything on the menu since they are small plates and 43 dollars for all you can eat with a 2 hour time limit. The best drinks are the Red Wine Punch and the Brunch Aperitivo. No exactly what I expected, but memorable experience. The restrooms are downstairs.

Each dish was so tasty! And typical portions for a tapas place, though they forgot about an order a couple of times it was a great vibe and lots to choose from. Try it out!

The ambiance, the service, the food and the drinks were all superb! We did the bottomless dinner and tried so many different items. Some of my favorites were the Brussels sprouts and white flatbread! The portions are perfectly sized and the strawberry lemonade with vodka was so refreshing. Our server was also amazing and extremely attentive. Great date night spot!!

Had such an amazing time here. Came here for a friend's birthday and this was just such a perfect place. We all got the unlimited option so applause to the staff for handling all our orders. Each little plate was delicious and certain ones like pickled veggies and chicken skewers were ordered multiple times. The variety is truly amazing and in 2 hours we maybe worked our way through 30-40% of the choices and nothing disappointed. The only issue we ran into was that some dishes got lost in the shuffle and had to be asked for multiple times before arriving but that could be chalked up to just how busy it was there. The interior is warm and the decor is nice but it can definitely get loud in there when it's busy and we found our table having to project to be heard even across the table. The drink menu is extensive and everything we had was really good. I especially enjoyed the Rakia Old Fashioned and that they had a full rakia list to pick from. This place is definitely an experience and one I wouldn't mind repeating. Especially since we discovered a whole second dining room downstairs while looking for bathrooms.

I didn't realize this was an all you can eat tapas bar. I did like the fact I can sample Balkan food. Service was good, food came out quickly and prices were reasonable. Pepper croquette- sweet and flavorful. Grilled shrimp- was ok Rainbow trout- wasn't crispy Istrian Gnocchi- I wasn't impressed with the mushroom sauce. They also use that same sauce for their mushroom flatbread. Kale Caesar- it was good: I'd get it again Cheese pie-I liked the dough Stuffed pepper is good but filling Hand cut fries- crispy and tasty We would return... We liked the atmosphere and it would be a great place for cocktails and tapas.
