I don’t understand the glowing reviews other than to assume they’ve bought 5 star reviews. My chili cheese dogs were mediocre and my fries weren’t crispy or tasty. I was given three small ketchup packets as my condiments. The prices aren’t cheap and there’s an open dumpster nearby that reeks. The only cheese they have is sliced cheese. Definitely skip this place, it’s not worth it.

Old school menu and the 10 commandments posted outside; you can tell this place is going to be great just from the looks of it. Another sign it’s great is their Bologna, egg, and cheese sandwich; where else can you get that? It’s so good. Hash browns are good. Do yourself a favor and get a sandwich from the weenie beenie.

So good. First off, it’s amazing that you can get chili dogs at 6am, even better that they’re inexpensive at $4 and they taste delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely a hidden gem in the DC area.

Everyone should try the Weenie Beenie. I have been eating here since the 70s when I was a child. It was our neighborhood childhood place to go much like the A&W rootbeer drive- inn in Walsenburg Colorado were we spent our summer school vacations. My father would bring my sister and I here many different times for a good time and then walk down to Four Mile Run Creek traiI. Now, I really enjoy their North Carolina style BBQ by the pound with a couple of orders of their delicious coleslaw. Their huge Whiting fish sub sandwich they have is delicious. Their fresh quick breakfasts are delicious also if it's not too crowded. Thank you Weenie Beanie.

I can appreciate a business that has been around for so long. However, longevity does not negate customer service. I called to ask a question. Keep in mind, I've never been there before, I'm not even a Virginia native. I have no idea that this place is a long standing restaurant. I asked whether they serve breakfast burritos. A simple yes or no would suffice. The woman on the phone says "it's the weenie Beenie. We serve american food". So I ask again...okay do you have breakfast burritos. She repeats herself and tells me they have been around for 70 years. I tell her I'm not from here, and couldn't really see a good image of the menu. She repeats herself telling me she cannot keep stuff for a breakfast burrito in the shop and some other words which made it clear she should not work in the service industry. I can appreciate what the name implies they sell...but they evidently sell eggs, burgers, turkey, and some reviews talk about fish. I'm in walking distance now from this place and I probably will never try this alleged "historic staple". Things change in 70 years, but respect and kindness shouldn't. I'm one person so I am a blip on their radar but I can't eat somewhere they won't even answer the phone with more respect. Keep your weenie, weenie beenie.

I purchased the Pork BBQ Sandwich with coleslaw and I thought it was very tasty and flavorful. The staff was respectful and prompt. I definitely will be back. ☺️

Good day to all. I'm very disappointed with this place. The gentleman who cooks in the morning is not very clean. One time I seen him out back dealing with the trash and walk straight up to the grill and start preparing peoples food. Just the other day, I went there to get me a half smoke with egg and cheese. I normally would not order food if I see him there, I would only get coffee, but this time he came from the back by my surprise and had one hand in his pocket and on his phone. Walk straight up to the grill and started cooking my food. Didn't wash his hands or have the decency to use gloves. This is very unsanitary and he didn't even cook the half smoke correctly, it was half cooked and the eggs were runny. If you do go here, try to make sure the lady prepares your food, because he is not clean at all. In this day and time, sanitation always have to be at the forefront of everything...Be safe and be smart about your choices!!
