I took pictures standing right at his grave in all four directions so hopefully you can find it easier than I did. As you can see by other's pictures and mine; other than it being a piece of history, there's nothing really here.

It's kinda strange and cool to stand over the grave of one of the most notorious villains in U.S. history. I found out about this curiosity on Atlas Obscura, and I highly recommend that site for travelers who are looking for odd things to do. You gotta check out that site for this place in particular because it has a bit of the history surrounding this grave, and also tells you the humorous story of who Nick Beef is and how his grave marker came to be next to Oswald. To summarize, Oswald was so hated, Rose Hills was the only place in the Dallas area that would agree to having Oswald buried there. Nobody came to the funeral except the press, so they were enlisted as pallbearers. The original grave marker Oswald's mom bought for him was stolen so she replaced it with something less conspicuous. It simply says Oswald. Years later a performance artist visits the grave and sees that the plots next to Oswald are available, so he buys one and places a grave marker over the empty grave that has his stage name, Nick Beef, which subsequently triggers new and unfounded conspiracy theories surrounding the Kennedy assassination. Apparently the staff is not allowed to direct visitors to Oswald's grave, but if you ask them "Where's the Beef" they will point you in the right direction. Google maps will get you pretty close to the spot, but you'll still have to look around a bit. It's pretty close to the entrance, straight back, along Rose Hills Drive.

Cemetery is average at best. Grave itself is a ittle tough to find - much closer to cemetery road than websites made it seem. Guy across the street was just pulling in on his motorcycle and knew what I was looking for and was nice enough to yell over and guide me. Looking for "Nick Beef" grave right next to Oswald's is helpful. Not many people more infamous and now I have JFK, Jack Ruby and Oswald. Don't miss Bonnie and Clyde - in separate cemeteries - not too far away.

Ironically one of the most popular graves in Texas.

Pretty cool to see the grave of Oswald especially after going to the 6th floor museum in Dallas. No sign pointing the way but some reviews on here have good directions to it. Just like others have said, just his grave nothing else. Just cool to see.

Relatively easy grave to find, just locate the mausoleum for the Shannon family, and go up a couple rows from the curb on the back side of the mausoleum.

This isn't a museum. Just a grave in a cemetery. Guy got caught up in some stuff way deeper than he knew.

Pretty awesome experience with my family. Use Google maps and it took us exactly to Oswald gravesite. Pretty much Lee Harvey's was sent to a rural area where not much is there.

I didn’t think it would hit me so hard, but I was wrong. Markers need to be repainted on curb. Hard to find, but here’s a hint: look for large family plot named β€œShannon”. The back has a large cross on it. Stand with your back to the cross. Oswald is located to the left diagonally across in the opposite section.

Very nice well maintained cemetery. My 2nd favorite cemetery in or around Dallas Texas. Favorite meaning nice clean welk kept memorials and some beautiful headstones.

If was hard to find I always thought it was at the bottom of Lancaster and Sandy Lane for years I always told that I'm almost sure i seen that name as you pass by for years ago I said next time i travel to Texas I get the courage to go see him don't know the story I were to young but so many believe he didn't do it. I guess we never know that history it were quite sad cold feeling empty feeling of dispare I were getting kinda tierd looking then all sudden a black bird came sit on porch guard rail as if to say I'm here so I got out the car took a chance just wasn't looking for him just to be looking I wanted to visit his grave site the whole history of it is sad from what I were told my deepest sympathy to all live lost during this time 1963 of November 20 and 22 rip

It was an honour to pay my respects to Lee. An innocent man, framed for a terrible crime. Rest in peace, Lee.
