The best ramen in the region, which has a lot of competition. The options are often diverse and always excellent, with extras such as wonton, egg, and extra noodles being well worth it. Come early if you can, but it's worth the wait if you get stuck in line.

Very limited menu as a while and a single vegetarian/vegan option. Don't expect much veggies in your bowl. A lot of noodles and soup though. They charge a dollar extra for making the vegan ramen spicy, but it was still very low on the spice. There are several better places with lower prices in and around Cambridge. There were a lot of Japanese people, so it's probably more authentic. But, i have had better tasting ramen in Cambridge.

We had the Paitan Ramen, which is advertised to have a "RICH" chicken broth base (their emphasis, not mine). It was good, but not fantastic. The ramen smelled wonderful, and the base was very rich. But its richness was based more on fat content than complexity of flavor. After the first few spoonfuls, It truly needed salt to bring out the flavor, and without that, I recommend using the supplied Japanese pepper as a partial work-around (no salt shaker was provided at the table, only pepper). They do have Shoyu Ramen, which is soy based, but we did not try that as we were really interested in the "rich" chicken broth. Noodles were good. The egg was soft boiled in just water, which was different as it was not boiled with soy sauce, and the egg was a bit undercooked. The pork was spot on. The folk behind the counter were very friendly.

I've only had ramen from a few different places but this is by far the best I've had. Bursting with flavor and very high quality ingredients. I got extra noodles in mine but honestly it was probably a little overkill and most people will be plenty full without the double noodles. Service was fairly quick and friendly. I'd recommend looking over the menu before going to the location to have some idea as to what you want.

Update: love their new Dan Dan ramen. The ramen here is good, high quality and rich broth. Nice location and very clean and spacious interior. I’m more of an udon person so I admit I’m biased. Tried the shio (salt) and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen and both were a tad salty for me personally. I think they are understaffed since the wait time was ~30min for 2 bowls. (In addition to line up outside).

Tsurumen’s ramen has the best broth I’ve ever had. Simple ingredients but elegant. As a ramen lover, broth is the soul of ramen and Tsurumen got the soul.

Not the best ramen if comparing to the ones I had in Japan; however, definitely above the average out of the ones I've had in the US. However, rotation can be improved and more efficient. No prob on my own personal service experience but the table rotations werent efficient.

5 stars for the ramen, delicious broth! Walked in on a Thursday night at 7pm and was seated right away. It got busy around 7:30pm and we saw a line form. There could be more indoor seating.

Really good place to go! We went yesterday, the place is not so big and is nearby Davis t station! You can choose to eat on the table or counter. They have around 5 options of ramen! We tried the signature and the maze soba. They are really good! So tasteful! The average price is 20 dollars each ramen. There is a restroom (really clean) and water dispenser! I couldn't find wifi.

Great place to sit down and get some great ramen! Don’t except any formal seating, just pull up a chair and eat some ramen!

It was super busy tonight, but the wait was worth it! A steaming hot bowl of rich Miso Paitan Ramen with an onsen egg on top is the perfect meal after a long day. The chashu (pork) slices were tender and seared to bring out that extra flavor. The noodles were pulled perfectly for that firm chew I love. And the broth was heavenly like always! I savored every last drop, and am ready to go into a full food coma immediately after this review. 10/10 will be back. Gochisousama deshita!

Came on an afternoon and were amazed at the ramen as we haven’t had good ramen on the east coast. We got the shio special, which was a tonkotsu soup base that was so good! The broth was extremely flavorful and the noodles cooked to perfection, everything was perfect! We also got the shoyu ramen which was a chicken soup base, this was the first time I truly appreciated the shoyu which added so much flavor to a great soup! The noodles were thicker with this ramen. We were not full after these too so we got the maze soba, which was a dry noodle that was really good as well and the tobasco sauce was truly freshening! We loved how simple the ramen were, highlighting the ingredients and the craftsmanship of the chef.

I ordered pork shoyu special with extra noodles, and it was just amazing! The noodles are al dente and it tastes like some old fashioned china-ramen that you can find somewhere in Tokyo. I believe that only handmade curly noodles can achieve such an exquisite taste in a bowl of clear broth. The chashu slices have a very exotic flavor compared to traditional ones, probably because they are made by cooking torches rather than braised in a pot as a whole roll. Overall I would say this ramen house is definitely an overkill for ordinary ramen lovers. For those ramen maniacs like me, you will never be disappointed here!

Very good ramen, first the broth is not heavy but well seasoned, I personally liked that they use chicken stock instead of pork bone ones to give a more clean tasting profile. Then the chashu is by far the best I’ve had around Boston, 2 large pieces and not overly fatty, they torch the skin right before serving, giving it a nice smoky flavor. This would be my new go to ramen place around the neighborhood.

One of the best ramen in Boston specializing in Chintan (clear broth). The broth is flavourful and aromatic. Peppery spice is well combined with the rich broth. Noodles are homemade and chewy. Chasiu is perfectly cooked and tender. Order ramen if you like classic ramen, and Order Mazesoba if you like bursting flavour.

Really good ramen. Got the maze soba and pork shoyu ramen. They were delicious. The broth was flavorful and the pork was nice and tender. The maze soba doesn’t have a broth but rather a thick garlic sauce that’s absolutely amazing. On top of all that the staff were super friendly. It was great.

Pricey but authentic and traditional shoyu or shio ramen or soba noodles in a chicken or pork broth (not consommé) served at a seated Japanese-style bar/counter. Evident in my photo, the onsen egg cooked to perfection; topped with slices of chashui, and green and red onion. Arrive early or possibly suffer a queue. Slurp the noodles and eat with your mouth open!

Great ramen place! No air conditioning, so it’s hot in the summer. Quality of the dashi and ramen is excellent.

This is a must try ramen spot in the greater Boston area with undeniable quality. The price of a bowl is marginally pricier than other ramen shops in the area when you add the standard fixings but any doubts regarding valve left my body with my first sip of the broth. Everything was perfectly cooked and a real treat to the palate. The menu is shorter so I can’t wait to get to all the items!

Went for the popup guest spot for Rishiri. Best shoyu ramen I’ve had. Cha-shu was perfect, noodles were delicious and had perfect consistency. Broth was subtle and complex while still being very rich.

Good selection of ramen and they clearly care about their menu/food. Tried the mazesoba special. The chives and bamboo shoots were the stars even though the chashu portion was generous. The sauce was creamy and umami.

Food is decent but the ramen is expensive for what you get which includes the overpriced add ons. On top of that you pay upfront before getting your order and they expect the same amount of tip as a normal restaurant when you still need to get your own utensils and condiments. You let less service but more up charge. Times have changed!

Came here for a try after being recommended, get very disappointed. Ordered yuzu shio: the broth is too salty and plain, ramen is also a little overpriced for the ingredients. Even Hokkaido is better than this one. If you want more authentic Japanese ramen experience, consider going to SF, LA or NY.
