This was an awesome tour of the Algarve coast, where we got to see the beautiful caves and the amazing beaches and rock formations. We were lucky enough to see a big group of wild dolphins which made our trip so much more incredible! Captain Pedro was very funny but also very informative, giving a lot of information about the dolphins, caves and everything. Definitely would recommend this to everyone!

Incredible tour! We went on 3rd January 2024, would highly recommend booking in advance. All the staff were amazing, and extremely passionate about giving everyone a good time! They were funny and informative. It was incredible how all the staff spoke multiple languages to ensure everyone who was on the tour felt included. The scenery was breath taking and we got to see dolphins too! Was such an incredible end to our holiday, would 100% recommend this tour to anyone!

These guys made our day! Especially the tour guide was super helpful and funny giving us a good laugh and even some info what places to visit in coastal area. We saw dolphins and the caves as well, just as promised.🐬 Note. There isn't a possibility to exit the boat into the caves, just 5min dip far from the shore so don't necessarily bother to bring your mask, flippers and towel. Can recommend and hopefully guide's ex-girlfriend has found her way to the shore after proposal🤣

This is a great experience for young and old alike. The guys driving the boat are brilliant and had us laughing from the moment we sat on the boat until we got off it again. We were lucky on our trip that we got to see dolphins on the trip back from the caves. They also let the kids drive the boat for photos. Entertaining and worth every penny. I would highly recommend and will do it again in the future. Well done all in X Ride and i hope to see you again next year.

Friendly and competent staff, and entertaining as well. They are really making the most of what they have to work with. Nice music when entering the caves. We also got to see dolphins for a few minutes. The boat was completely full. Arriving early does not get you a better seat, since the crew assign you a seat. It's not possible to move around in the boat since you have to stick to your seat and everyone is on the same level. That means that all other people in front of you will block your view/photo opportunity and passenger quarrel arise because of that. We had booked for a different time, but X Ride wanted us to change to a different time with less than 24 hours before departure.

To get real….. yes we seen the caves. We also got to see dolphins for a few minutes. The boat was completely full. Arriving early does NOT get you a better seat, you may even be told to sit away from your partner/companion since the crew assign you a seat. It's not possible to move around in the boat since you have to stick to your seat and everyone is on the same level. That means that all other people in front of you will block your view/photo opportunity and customers quarrel arise because of that. We seen many people try run up the top of the boat and were told to move. We had booked the 12:30 X Ride. The staff kept asking the customers every 10 minutes was the ride good. I felt this was a bit annoying as we just wanted to relax and enjoy the waves, instead of a constant tapping on the shoulder every few minutes or with thumbs in our faces 😬 as for Pedro this guy is in the wrong job. This “jokes” are stale, and the inappropriate touching of women don’t go down to well in this generation. Condensing attitude he had with some men / women (highly noticeable if woke). All I know is that Pedro needs to go. Judging by all the bad reviews people only seem to have a problem with this guy. I wouldn’t recommend the X RIDE - we seen lots of other boat rides and only wish I did more research before booking here. €35 per person Duration: 2 hours

Definitely worth a trip. Time and money well spent. We got to see dolphins the beautiful coastline and the famous Bengali cave. Our tour guide Hugo was fantastic friendly and informative. There's even time to jump off the boat for a quick swim

We experienced a very nice cruise with a considerate and polite crew. My favourite part of the ride was dolphin watching. However, seeing the rock formations and caves from the sea was also great. I have a recommendation for people who are considering this cruise. First, if you have back problems or anything related to that, be really careful because this boat can be pretty jumpy on the ocean. Second, if you have small children, please do not take them with you, it's better for both them and other passengers as well. All of the children who were on the boat with us (around 10 kids) got sea sickness. Not only that they and their parents did not enjoy the ride, but us - other passengers - had to watch them turning white and throwing up. Even though the crew tried to gather them all at the back side of the boat (so that they can spend time on the less jumpy part of the boat and can vomit in peace), it was simply too many of them. Plus, because there were a lot of sick people we didn't get a stop for swimming. Generally, think about if this kind of experience is right for you or your group.

An excellent way to explore the coastal beauty of the Algarve. The boats were well organised and clearly safe. The boat’s captain, Pedro was an entertainer but also knowledgeable about the local history and coastline. The caves were breathtaking and, in my opinion, a must visit when at the Algarve. No dolphins seen this time, but it’s a large ocean, what do you expect. Was a beautiful ride anyway!

Saw dolphins, was very good. Did leave half an hour later and still came back at scheduled time but it was still very nice. Had a chance to go swimming and the views were beautiful.

This was such an enjoyable experience, seeing the caves and even more spectacular seeing the dolphins. I was skeptical as some say they don't always come out and why should they, but they did that day and even performed a little. The main skipper was a great host, serious but funny. Cared about safety, he was very knowledgeable and really encouraged you to enjoy the experience with your own eyes before the cameras came out. You could see his passion and he made the trip entertaining. It got very bumpy and also very cold, I would definetly wrap up even on a hot day. If your travel sick, take some tablets, I would probably eat after the ride. Kids can go, I went with a 1 year old and a 5 year old. There were younger babies there. Family friendly a really great day out. I won't post too many pics as you should experience it for yourself.

It was a fantastic ride, the staff was very knowledgeable about the area and made us aware that what to do and don’t for your own safety. The ride was very smooth enjoyable. We also saw and sail with few dolphins, these guys are so professional regarding that, but again it’s based on some luck of course. Wear clothes according to the weather. In winter it might be a bit cold. We took the second trip in afternoon so that the sun position is against the caves. Much better view and possibility of taking great memorable pictures.

The tour was so awesome! I enjoyed every bit of it. The caves were so beautiful and captivating. Thank you to the incredible tour guides, they were really friendly and talked me through their historic landmarks. I was really hopeful that I would see dolphins and whales, I didn’t but still an enjoyable experience. I will certainly be back, hopefully next time I get to see dolphins and whales. This is an advice to anyone that wants to go on a boat tour; please wear a jacket. It gets really windy. I was so cold by the time I got to the shore.

Whilst there are many companies in the area that offer a similar service, the resort we stayed at suggested X Ride and we are glad they did. The staff were professional but friendly, they spoke English, Portuguese, and even French, and even had some jokes about some of the rock formations. We were lucky and a pod of dolphins had been spotted early on in our trip, along with several other boats we witnessed multiple dolphins come up for air and play about before diving again. The many caverns along the coastline were all beautiful and unique, with each one having a different story about them. My wife and I would definitely recommend them and will be going once again.

We were lucky to see 2 pods of dolphins 1 on the way there 1 on the way back. But, its not all about luck the outstanding teamwork between companies in the marina make it so if one boat sees dolphins it'll wait for the next so no one misses out. Out crew were hilarious and made the trip one of the best experiences of our life. Seeing wild dolphins swim under your boat is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would recommend this 1million percent

It was a great experience! They were super helpful and friendly from everything to booking the tour, answering questions about taking a baby on board and giving directions to get there. The tour itself was amazing. The coastline and Benagil caves were beautiful, but then we saw dozens of dolphins! Our tour guides were great and made sure we were comfortable and could enjoy the view all through. I highly recommend X Ride Algarve

Brilliant experience! Pedro (the captain) and his crew were fantastic. They spoke English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. Very knowledgeable about the area and coastline. He was very direct and clear with his rules on his boat. Would definitely go on it again!

Absolutely loved this trip, 2.5 hours of fun! Make sure to bring a jumper/jacket as when the boat speeds up it getting very cold no matter the weather! The staff on the boat were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! Seeing the benagil cave was my favourite part. So inexpensive for the experience you get!

  • 5/5 Javier D. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent experience. We were super lucky and we got a family of dolphins just 5 minutes from the marina. The caves were also really nice, and the guides were great, explaining everything.

Great experience. Definitely worth doing whilst on your holidays. X ride give an a+ experience. We were lucky and saw some dolphins. The caves are great to see too. The guides were brilliant. Pedro, Enzo and (can't remember the last guy's name) gave a fun and rememberable tour. Although dolphins aren't guaranteed, We went on the 12:00 tour and the dolphins came out to play so maybe bare this in mind when choosing times if you really want to see dolphins.

The places we visited were very beautiful. We saw different rock formations around the area, the benagil caves and tried to spot dolphins that were swimming a bit far from us. The stuff was fun and very helpful, also when started feeling dizzy due to the wind and waves, very well equipped and supportive, and also giving explanations on the places we were visiting. Definitely recommend X Ride to everyone!

Unbelievable experience. Stunning views. Great hosts. They even let my son steer the boat for a while. The sunset was out of this world. The cave was spectacular. Can't thank them enough for this.

Great fun, friendly staff and crew. The coastline and caves were beautiful. We didn’t see any dolphins but it didn’t put a damper on our trip. We all thoroughly enjoyed it would definitely recommend.

A once in a lifetime experience! The crew: Miguel, Filipe and Pedro, were great and very funny! The ride was fairly smooth, we listened to music and were told some fun facts as we went along the coastline to the Benagil caves. We did see dolphins (how lucky!) and it was truly a beautiful experience. Thank you so much to the crew for making my trip to Portugal one I will remember forever.

It was amazing trip. I love it so much. Unfortunately we didn’t see the dolphins but I I was enjoying the views and caves. It is impressive. Big thank you for the team on board. These are very positive and friendly. My suggestions. Take with you extra clothes because you will be wet 😁 I recommend this boat trip.

A cruise not to forget! We went with our family on one of the smaller boats, Xplorer, crewed by two passionate and fun-loving members. Viewed super beautiful coastlines and caves (got a nice explanation about it), and then also spot dolphins! (is not a guarantee, are wild animals so it is real spotting).

I loved the tour with this company. The tour along the cost is quite beautiful. The cave of Benagil is the highlight but also the rest of coastline to get there has its beauty. The captain of the boat was so friendly and welcoming and the crew tells you also facts (serious or less serious) about the area. After the coast we headed to see some dolphins and that part of the tour was lovely too. Very good experience on the whole!

Great experience! We have spotted the dolphins, came very close to them! Also had a amazing look on the cave and the beautiful coastline! The staff was very funny and friendly. A real recommendation!

The boat ride to the Iberian Peninsula and the stunning beaches was lovely. My friends and I managed to see a couple of dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean but the highlight of the tour was the Benagil Cave and the rock formations lining the Algarve coast. The ride was made ever more enjoyable by our tour guide, Pedro and his colleagues, Dominic and Tito. They helped with translating in different languages for the audience to understand and made us laugh all the time. I highly recommend it. It was so much fun! We even stopped for those who wanted to swim. The sight of Albufeira with its white buildings and beautiful architecture was one worth capturing.

  • 5/5 Tomáš R. 1 year ago on Google
We enjoyed our ride today. We had a lot of fun. The crew was doing great (may be less information would be even better). We really saw dolphins! The boat is pretry fast so the trip to caves including stop for swimming and dolphins takes only 2 hours. Do not forget bathing suit, sun cream and hat. The boat has a toilet so you can change your clothes if you decide to swim.

  • 5/5 Victoria G. 2 years ago on Google
A truly amazing experience! The crew was absolutely the best, so funny and soooo helpful. They led the tour in 4 different languages and always made sure everybody felt great. Really made it an unforgettable experience for everyone. Thank you X Ride Crew! Would recommend to everyone:)

We had a wonderful time today with X Ride Algarve going from Albufeira's Marina to Benagil's cave... We started with some fabulous dolphin spotting and continued along the coast looking at the many rock formations. Great explanations and fun times with our captain and guides. We all came back enthused.

Shout out to Hugo and Varela the skipper for a great trip! These guys were terrific and made it fun and educational. They went extra miles for us to see dolphins. ♥️

Fantastic experience! The crew was very knowledgeable about all the caves and the coastline of Algarve. Also very sweet, funny and attentive towards all passengers on the boat. We were so lucky to see saw! And that is of course not something they can guarantee... 10/10 would do it again ❤️🐬
