A place to spend family holiday with nature. Plenty of car park available. August is the best time to visit to meet flowers. Bring food, drinks, chair, mat and coffee to res, play and enjoy. Please allow sometime to drive through the road on the way, it’s just beautiful.

Local review. Went to Araluen this past Saturday 9/9/23 The tulips were beautiful and the camellias were huge. Some of the mass plantings had already lost half their flowers. I recommend to come sooner than later. The crowds were substantial so I recommend going during the week. There is no longer a cafe that we could find, only food trucks. We waited over 40 minutes just for a coffee. The toilet amenities were good and clean and there is plenty of space for a picnic. The cost to get in was $20 per adult and I expected a bit more bang for my buck. All the stands by Yates were deserted with no staff. There were no sales or gift shops that we could see. The so called live entertainment was market busker level at best, except for one couple out in one of the back hill areas who were bluesy and did a lovely job. Won’t be coming back at this price. There would have been well over 2000 adults that afternoon between 1-3pm, and at $20 a pop the park made well over $50k+ and more. I’ve been to better botanical gardens for free that have amenities, cafes with seating areas, butterfly and orchid displays and stunning flower displays. I gave one star for the tulip displays that were not half spent and one star for the clean toilets and one for the cleanliness of the pathways and garden beds.

This park is beautiful. We visited during the Yates Springtime Festival to see the tulips. If able, park all the way at the top near the Rose car park, then wander downwards to see everything. There are many paths to walk, especially up near the remembrance water garden. If you take your time, you can spend many hours. The only downside is they charge twice as much for entry fees during the festival.

Araluen Botanic Park is a beautiful botanic garden! Especially in Spring as all the flowers are blooming. Hilly to various degrees, but pretty reasonable for any fitness level. Most are cemented paths, some are first tracks. Most areas are also wheelchair accessible. There are park entry fees but it’s definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful display of Tulips and other flowers and trees. Make sure you get there early we arrived 8:40am And were directed to park in overflow parking until the park opened. We were then given priority entering.

Amazing place with stunning flowers. If you love nature, Araluen is definitely the place to go! There is always something to do, from festivals/ concerts frequently appearing in the gardens, and a lovely cafe and gift shop. There is also a lot for kids to do, with virtual reality being incorporated into the garden, allowing kids to see various Australian animals and mythical creatures too (like fairies).

One of the best place to visit with family, We were visiting Araluen Botanical Gardens every years and I was not disappointed. So much to take in, so many beautiful flowers. I always visited during their Spring Tulip Festival and I highly recommend this time of the year. It's a large garden so good walking shoes are a must as is water. We were having a picnic and there are also BBQ's available, there are also a couple of cafes available. It a great outing for families.

Went midweek & it was absolutely packed! The queue just to get in went right back down the main road so suggest going early morning. Beautiful gardens, lots of shade, would be great if the old Cafe was opened up again.

Stunning place. It was my second visit: This time whilst the tulips 🌷 were flowering, which meant much busier, but with a great atmosphere. There was food trucks and a bubble blowing fairy for the kids. There's a coffee shop, and a restaurant in old buildings. The place is impressive and so is the multi-generational effort put in to this place. Plenty of parking.

Just arrived, and lots of wheelchair parking down the bottom, but to get into the mean entrance was a joke! They make you struggle up a wood-chip path! My mobility scooter struggled to get up, and no one offered to help! There was an old lady behind me who also found it difficult to get up with her walker. So, it's not a 100% wheelchair friendly! Place itself is beautiful but will not come back again after this exercise as it has made my leg pain worse 😕

I recently visited Araluen Botanical Garden and had a wonderful experience, which I'd rate 4/5. The rose garden and stunning landscape, complete with a small waterfall, were truly enjoyable. The $15 entry fee felt worthwhile. The hourly train rides add to the family-friendly charm, making it a great choice for families with kids. There's also a small play area for children and a lovely man-made pond. I highly recommend this picturesque garden for a day of relaxation and family fun.

Beautiful gardens and park. Tulips were very pretty. Park staff friendly and helpful. Only thing that let it down was the cafe didnt have eftpos, menu was expensive & devonshire tea was disappinting. Next time I will bring a picnic.

While we went in the off season, it was still absolutely lovely. We were still able to appreciate some beautiful flowers. There was nearly no one there and we had a great time exploring and having a private picnic with our children. We will definitely try it again during winter and then the tulip festival.

Beautiful park with lots of attractions to see. Good collection of tulips were there when we visited in early September. Great place to come for a picnic and relax with the family. My kid loved playing in playground nearby the water stream.

Absolutely worth the visit, such a beautiful place. Grounds are very well kept and perfect for a picnic. The tulips were brightly coloured. Suggest going during the week as the weekends are very crowed.

"Raindrops on tulips and warm cappuccinos!" Mesmerized by the endless beauty of this Botanical Park. Set amongst the rolling hills of Roleystone, the park continues to evolve in landscape beauty. Natural bush dispersed with garden rainbow delight. A worthwhile visit for any creative inspiration or medatitive, relaxing experience. Plenty of toilet blocks throughout the park, flat pathways for prams or wheelchairs. Parking close by and ability needs parking within the park site available.

The rating is just our personal experience while we are visiting in early December on a sunny day. It is really hot and there are not as many varieties of flowers. Rose garden has just finished its season. Nothing much to see. $12 per person is right for the cost of maintaining the garden, but this feels more like a public park that we usually see for free. Better to check seasons and flowers before visiting.

First time visiting Araluen Botanical Gardens and I was not disappointed. So much to take in, so many beautiful flowers. I visited during their Spring Tulip Festival and I highly recommend this time of the year. It's a large property so good walking shoes are a must as is water. You're allowed to take a picnic and there are also BBQ's available, if you prefer not carrying your own food there are also a couple of cafes available. It a great outing for families, couples or solo.

We visited this well kept park during a weekday. The roses were in full bloom and they were many serene and peaceful places to walk about and sit to enjoy nature; we even saw a snake here. There is also a cafe here but with limited hot food options of sandwiches and wraps. Overall a great place to visit for a dose of nature.

Amazing place, they have wheel chair access, 2 BBQ machines, toilets, cafes and really good place for kids to place and connect with nature. The place will look like heaven when all the roses blooms. It will be a wonderful experience for a perfect family outing. Be ready to walk and carry a good shoe. Worth a visit.

Although very few flowers are in bloom this time of year we loved our stroll through the gardens and coffee at the Roundhouse Cafe (opens at 10). The lady at the entry was lovely and the grounds are really well kept. It was so peaceful and green. I can’t wait to come back in spring.

I hadn't been here for at least 20 years, and a lot has changed. The gardens are beautiful, and there is plenty to see an abundance of picnic areas and loads of places you can just sit and relax. They're getting ready for the spring festival when all the tulips will be in bloom, we were fortunate enough to get a glimpse of the first two tulips for the beginning of the season. The staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful, and I would imagine that weekends would be bedlam. However, we visited during the week, and it was surreal 🦋🌺🦋

I was impressed because in the middle of the forest Araluen offered a free wifi, a shop were you can buy coffee and ice cream, a dine in cafe, very clean toilets, well maintained place, parking lots and a beautiful nature. I was enjoying the fellowship with my family and friends. I believe this time was my 5th visit at Araluen and I always have good experiences.

I'm a local so I've been here many times. My favourite time is during the Tulip festival. This year was no different. The displays of colour was absolutely breath taking. We made sure to go early to ensure not waiting in a queue of traffic and got a great spot to park inside. Do yourself a favour and go and check out this Botanical eye candy spot 👍💜🌷

Experienced the It’s Yates Springtime 2022 festival and marvelled at the vibrant tulips. The festival had pop up stalls, live entertainment and fun activities for kids making the experience interactive. The botanic park is beautiful and the infrastructure allows you to immerse and learn the story of Araluen. (However, it was very crowded over the public holiday)

  • 3/5 Stephen J. 3 years ago on Google
    Bit pricey

  • 5/5 Jacinta Ling (. 1 year ago on Google
Still beautiful and have grown bigger since the last time we came many years ago. $20 per adult, $10 per child, free under 5. Plenty of toilet (and portable toilets) when we visited which is a bonus as I usually find it hard to find toilets so easily in a park like this. With young kids it’s a big thing! Train ride was fun and affordable ($5 per seat, optional if you want your child to sit on your lap, or another $5 for your child), but seat is pretty small like budget airline though. They also have a few food vendors in the grass area which is lovely. But it’s a place where you come back once every few years for a surprise so hopefully they will keep it up to attract more visitors and keep growing.

Araluen Botanic Park is a great place to visit at different times of the year but the tulip festival in September with spring weather is the pick of the year. The gardens are beautifully maintained with extensive lawn areas. A good place to enjoy a picnic or barbecue with friends or family. It has plenty of trees and sheltered areas.

  • 5/5 Naomi K. 1 year ago on Google
I always love going to the Gardens each year, around Springtime of course . We went on a Saturday and it was packed. The colours were beautiful and very vibrant. There were food vans on site (convenient for us) and a performer too (my son enjoyed it). Plus my son really said he enjoyed taking photos too; of all the beautiful flowers. Friendly staff too.

A serene and beautifully maintained botanic park. We visited during the Tulip festival in September when the tulips were in full bloom and the colour display was absolutely gorgeous. The flowers, the lush greenery and the water bodies have a remarkable calming effect and you can easily spend a couple of hours or longer if you please. A picnic blanket comes handy and comfortable shoes are a must. Plenty of parking and numerous food options to eat from.

Beautiful gardens. Went on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. $15 feels reasonable, just imagining the cost to run an operation like this these days. I felt the parking exit was a bit confusing, might be worthwhile to ask the attendants to mention how to exit when selling the tickets. lots of spacious lawns to lay down your picnic blankets. serene paradise not far from the city.

Haven't been to Araluen park already? - Why the hell not? Drop all your weekend drinking arrangements and go there immediately. Go alone with a book or take the whole family. It is guaranteed to be a blast! Hate the crowds? - go during the week. All for you to discover! This place is a green oasis right next to the big smoke. Been there 2 times already. Only 2 months apart. Different flowers blossoming. Every time to see something new. And the Roses.. oh my! Too unreal to describe. GO NOW! - and smell them yourself to know what I'm buzzing about! There are guided tours available, so call the office to arrange a time... or online. Thank you guys for all your hard work. Just saying that I love what you have done with this place. Respect. Gratitude. Will be back for more.

This is one of the nicest places to visit. During the week it is quieter than weekends should you want to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while walking through the park. If the Tulip festival is on it can get very busy but the flowers are spectacular and worth the visit. Try to get in early because the parking space becomes a challenge. There are good carts available during the festival and there are things for the kids too.

I went early as soon as they open at 9 am. Free parking. Easy entry. Less people but quite a lot by the time I left around noon. Araluen never disappoint. The Tulips were blooming marvellous. Bring a picnic if you go unless you want to pay $11 for a sandwich. There is also a barbecue area. I went alone and had the most incredible peace time just wandering around and enjoying the flowers and surround

I was absolutely amazed when I visited this Botanic Park. So many beautiful colours and everything was incredibly well maintained. Nice drive to get here. Although we missed the tulips, we had a lovely time exploring Araluen Botanic Park. It's a great place to see native plants and flowers. Parking is convenient, and we recommend parking at Rose Garden Car Park for a shorter walk. The park is only 40 minutes from Perth, and the surrounding area offers a variety of things to explore. Unfortunately, the park's entrance fee is $12/pp, and we don't get enough sign nor information except a printed map. We hope that the government will consider funding this beautiful park, so that everyone can enjoy it.

This place is an absolute must for those who like to go for a walk and also for the nature lovers. Great place to relax with family. The 🌷 tulips and other flowers are really beautiful. Parking facilities available. Enjoy your time there... 🔥🔥🦋

This is one of the great places to visit when you don’t want to travel far from Perth. Parking is free but difficult to get a desired parking spot on busy holiday or during the weekend specially in the spring season. You may have to walk quite a bit but all the attractions have their unique qualities. Visiting fees are very cheap. Easily accessible for disable or parents with prams. So many picturesque spots so don’t forget to bring good quality camera. To avoid crowd, visit during the week and not of school holiday. More interested in knowing a bit of botany and history, guided tours are available. Get more information from the help desk.

I love this beautiful place. My friend and I went for a visit again yesterday. The Botanic Park is perfect for picnics and flower lovers. It's on the hills, the landscape of colorful trees, flowers bed, green lawns and water falls... displaying the beauty of nature in four seasons. It's spring time, all flowers are in bloom, especially the roses. We walked along interesting hilly roads slowly, indulged in the surroudings, then found a nice spot, enjoyed our picnic. A woderful trip away from city. 😂

Being in nature is always a welcome change from the concrete jungles of the city, no matter how lovely n liveable it is. Araluen Botanic Park fits the outing with a T, and more importantly, it's not too far from the city. The Park is beautifully laid out, easy walkways catering for the families with all ages n combination of members. Great place to be surrounded with nature in a clean settings, n enjoy your picnic. Spring is a wonderful time of the year in WA and the Park will definitely show you the true colours. If you're lucky to visit during the Tulip Festival, then consider yourselves lucky; seeing the Park in all its glory. The staff is very helpful n with a smile.

Exquisite & beautiful. Arrived early to get parking near the cafe for my mum. Had coffee, scones cream and jam. Then meandered slowly down the hill to the lower level of tulips 🌷. So picturesque!! Waterfalls are flowing and sound beautiful. The little train was booked out til after lunch. Thank you to all the staff but especially the volunteers who make the effort for it to happen for us, the community. Thank you all.
