Wonderful location and make sure you eat their dinners. They were delicious and their wines were perfectly paired with the dishes. Extremely economical for the quality of the accommodation and meals. We would love to go back.

My wife and I stayed for 1 night and had a very memorable time. if you stay here, I would recommend being prepared to socialize with strangers from all of the world, as that is really what sets this place apart. When we checked in, we were greeted by the owner and shown to the tasting room/lounge area where he poured us some wine, gave us some information, and then showed us our room. We opted to partake in the wine-maker's dinner, which everyone should. So, after getting cleaned up a bit, we headed back to the lounge area and relaxed for a bit. They served us some more wine and we met and talked with the other guests. There were Canadians, Brazilians, Americans, etc. Eventually we were invited into the dining room for dinner where conversation continued. The boar was excellent and after dinner we were offered port wine and were allowed to stay in the lounge area as late as we wanted. Our room was small and cozy, although there were much larger rooms. Seeing that we were only staying one night, that was fine with us, but if we were staying any longer, a larger room would have been nice. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent and then we were on our way. Getting to stay at winery was certainly one of the highlights of our trip.

An amazing stay! We really loved our time here. The dinners were amazing and with unlimited wine and port, s superb value. Miguel is an excellent chef and you can tell he really cares about his guests and his business. His mom was so sweet and helpful when he wasn't around. We enjoyed the property, hanging out at the pool, the breakfasts. Our room was wonderful too. In our 2 weeks in Portugal, this was our best stay for sure. We would come back without a doubt. Only downfall, was that our second day Miguel was off and while everything was still great with dinner, the level of service (explanation of the courses and the paired wines) wasn't as amazing as the first day. (This could just be due to the fact that the staff didn't speak English, but they didn't seem to explain in Portuguese to those guests). Over our 2 nights, there were other guest that we dined with from England, Germany, Portugal and France which made the dining experience and conversations even more fun.

A charming and welcoming experience in the heart of Douro. Miguel and his family embrace guests with hospitality and warmth. We really enjoyed the wine makers family-style dinner with all the other guests - so fun to meet and talk to people from all over the world. Miguel’s wi e and port are delicious too! We stayed two nights so we also enjoyed the sun by the pool. The property is high on a hill - be prepared for a few steep streets and sharp turns to access the Quinta - it’s totally worth it!

Oh my goodness! We were not prepared for the most amazing stay. From the moment you arrive, you feel like a long lost friend. We were greeted with a glass of very tasty wine in a comfortable stone lounge with lovely wood, leather couches and chairs! That was our “check in” experience. We next moved to the pool, overlooking the vineyards, with another glass of wine. And the wine kept flowing! Dinner, as is breakfast, is served at one great table for 12. We thoroughly enjoyed the lively conversation of 4 other couples staying at the guesthouse. The food consisted of a 3 course meal and bread. Everything was homemade and very fresh and amazingly delicious. And more wine! After dinner we were all invited to “The Cave”, a wine tasting vault with more comfortable seating and conversation. Staying here was one of the highlights of our 2 month trip. Probably should hav just parked the car for the remainder of our trip! A heartfelt Thank You to our host/chef/ vintner and his family. Our visit is a forever memory

Cancelled on the same day as we arrived after confirming just a day before. Seems like it did not happen for the first time if you read the reviews. They "organized" a different stay for us, which however was not even close to the same. Stay alert.

!! READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING HERE !! I booked a room to visit this location during my summer vacations. I booked quite in advance, on the 27th of July, to spend 1 night there on the 11th of August. When i was already driving there, on the 11th of August around noon time (!! 3H only before the check in !!) i received an email stating that due to OVERBOOKING my room was not available anymore. Not even a phone call, just an email that i luckily saw before arriving there. As a result i had to stop my travel, spend 2 hours looking for a suitable alternative and finally had to cover myself part of the extra-expenses incurred (only a part it was covered by the booking platform used for the reservation in Quinta da casa Cimeira). Last but not least, my reservation had a Free cancellation policy within 3 days before my arrival, therefore no excuses is possible to justify an overbooking advised via email 3 hours before my arrival. BOOK HERE ONLY IF YOU WANT TO TRY YOUR LUCK

What an amazing stay we had at Casa Cimeira! We felt at home from the first minute. The rooms were good and tidy, and the hosts very kind. On the first night there was a big thunderstorm, but together with all the other guests, we had a great time nonetheless and the dinner that was cooked in between the power outages was delicious. Also breakfast and the second dinner we had were very good. Hope to come back here in the future, as it felt like home.

This hidden gem is someplace I would totally return to. This family run inn is so special, not only for the beauty of the area but the care that every moment there is given by the owners. You are greeted with a glass of their own port and welcomed as if you were a guest in their home. Make sure you do the dinner offered there for 30 euro. It was both amazing food and amazing company from the other travelers. This experience was a highlight of our trip to the Douro Valley.
