Update: So we spoke to the "manager name starts with an R" (I do not know how many managers there are there I was refered to 3 different people)who said she would call us and never followed up. Now after reviewing the receipt there was a tip on the card that was never authorized. Definitely returning to the area because we had a lot we still wanted to see but not to this place. Search the negative reviews something we did not do since it said 4/7 stars but going over the reviews it looks like they have people posting positive one liner reviews. Buyer beware. I am giving 2 stars only because the place itself is very pretty in the day time. (At night it was too dark to see anything in the resort)The service is horrible. I am currently staying here and regret choosing this place. My experience is the worst. We were looking for a place to host our annual retreat but no way. The place is disorganized, the response to simple questions are met with a suggestion on what I can do never what they can do. I booked a villa and it is not really in the resort it is as if we are outside visitors to the resort rather than guest. The staff pretty much ignores my concerns and questions. When we arrived there was a refreshment bar we were not invited to enjoy any of it and it was not even stocked I was so thirsty and just went to help myself all of the containers were empty. The phones do not work and they don’t seem to think there is an issue with my needed to use my personal phone to call the customer service line. When we arrived there was not even a welcome note for us and the place was dusty. Asking for information in what there is to do in the surrounding area was like pulling teeth… btw in case you are wondering I speak Spanish so there was no language barrier they just truly do not care. It is just so sad because I was hoping for it to be a fun place to frequent during our first quarter retreat. The manager ignored my messages completely. The lack of attention is just horrendous.

A really nice resort outside of Armenia. Lots of amenities on the premises like a (mini) golf course, multiple swimming pools, tennis court, Jacuzzi and steam bath. The restaurant is very decent. Pricey for Colombian standards but worth it.

Pros: Great accomodation and facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Cons: the restaurant and food do not fit the standards of the resort. Very fatty and heavy. My father and I both came out with a heavy stomach and I also got food poisoning. Very average breakfast. I did not become a fair compensation for the damage caused, we had to stay three days instead of one planned. No one in the staff is able to speak anything else than Spanish.

We had a problem with some stuff we forgot in our room and they magically disappear. No one help us or respond for it

Beautiful facilities, but staff is aloof and disorganized. No hot water one night, no breakfast another day. The room key never worked properly. The hotel was hosting a convention during our stay, and the rest of the guests became invisible.

Beautiful resort with wonderful service. Great food and very reasonably priced.

The place is beautiful and the amenities are amazing. However, I think that the service falls short of the size of the place. The food is a little bit monotonous, especially for the buffet.

The best hotel in Armenia. The hotel is great, full of amenities, the food is extremely good, and the staff all extremely friendly. We had a thoroughly good experience and we'd definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mocawa. Personnel was always attentive to our needs, food was delicious and it located very near to the Airport. Definitively would stay again.

Hotel Manager Sara extremely rude and unhelpful, didn’t provide any sort of solution. Unfortunately not what we excepted from a “resort” standard. Friendly and kind service, but very understaffed. Also, the hotel has no security guard on premise and we didn’t feel safe. Especially when we saw guests checking in with hand guns tucked underneath their shirts. We ended up dining inside the room because some guests at the restaurant we’re speaking vulgar language and again no one on premise to remind them it’s a family environment. Rooms were very clean and had all the amenities.

This place is amazing. The beauty, the people, the food, the site is out of this world!

What a great place to stay, it is more for families but if you're going in a couple's getaway, or either for work it should be fine, great location for a road trip between Bogotá to Cali.

The rooms are comfortable and it's very quiet and peaceful. The place is overall very beautiful. However, the breakfast is very weak given the price tag of the hotel and it's very disorganized (took us about 20min queuing for huevos pericos). Also the coffee is pretty basic. We stayed two nights there and both days the same experience which just makes it not worth the money.

We stayed there on February 2020. Beautiful hotel and nice customer services. Bit disappointed that the swimming pool is closed at 7 pm so we could not enjoy the pool because our daily tours ended by 6 or 7 pm so the pool was already closed. Some guests complained about the early closing of the pool and some showers door in the rooms did not close and some night table lights did not work. But nice clean comfortable hotel.

Wonderful place to enjoy i just love it all!! the nature here is fantastic, delicious Menus, and the best service!! you must visit this resort.

If you want to rest.. do not come on a weekend. You will not sleep, they have live music in an open space right next to the rooms, the party will go up until 1 am, music is too loud and you will not be able to sleep.
