BE WARNED: you have to pay 80.000$ per person EXTRA to use the jacuzzi. This is around $20USD for just 2 hours. And they messaged me after this review on a bad tone asking me weird questions. A terrible thing. Just book a hotel with pool/jacuzzi access included in the price, as it should 🙏🏼

Good value if you stay in dorms, but privates are really overpriced. We stayed in the "cabaña" which, based off photos, had a living area and porch. Turns out the living area and porch are shared with 12 dorm beds. Not to private. The private room was just big enough to open the door without hitting the bed. Bit dorm value seemed good. Also only one bathroom with a shower shared among 12-14 beds in the back part of the hostel. It was always full. A second shower with no bathroom to shares, hut no one ever used it because nowhere to hang clothes/towels/toiletries. Staff very nice. Big kitchen. They sell tickets for coffee farm tours.

I booked a room a week before arrival and the day before it was cancelled without a reason. I was on the road and didn’t had internet connection so when I arrived I was quite surprised, because two days before that my booking was Confirmed. They say that they can offer me a room for almost triple what I was supposed to pay originally… during the last week I also tried to contact the hostel about payment but I didn’t got any response. I really thought everything was ok, when I saw on Booking.con that my room is “confirmed”. Everything that looks like a big scam so I would be careful when booking with this hostel. The only think positive what I can say is the gentleman at the reception, because he was nothing but nice to us, even though his boss is a piece of work with scamming people for more expensive rooms.

Staff is super attentive, they really want you to have a good time. The hostal has a “cosy messy” vibe and has many cats and a parrot that might flirt with you. Location is perfect as its very tranquil but you are at the main square in 2 minutes. WiFi is good too. Would recommend!

Great place and great staff. We showed up late at night and the staff was awake and very attentive. Great price for a private room. Connected to a mtn bike rental shop. Coffee in the morning!

Well located, staff is nice, garden and common space are nice but unfortunately the room we had was not good. The room was very humid and cold at the night. The bed felt humid too and the towels never dry. And because it was humid, the room was smelly. They dont have a fan or a window to eject humidity of the shower too. Plus, the bed was very uncomfortable. Maybe the room upstairs are better but dont stay in the ground level!

The owner/manager (?) allowed me to stay with my 5 month old puppy. She agreed that it could be free in the yard as long as I was watching her. It turns out that her son, who I was not aware would be there running around freely (including going into my room) is scared of dogs. After a few days of being there, her son saw my dog from afar and screamed in fear. The dog was nowhere near him. The owner came out and yelled at me. Then proceeded all further communications with me through the receptionist, refusing to speak with me directly. I was instructed to keep the dog on a leash, which was not our original agreement. I decided to leave the next morning and find other accommodations in Salento. This situation was handled so unprofessionally and immaturely. Edit: Not sure why you're blatantly lying in your response. How is this going to help your business in the long run? Treat people better!

It's such an amazing hostel! I'm so happy that I found it in Salento which is a beautiful village. The staff is super kind. They always help you whatever you need and they know a lot about all the places around if you need any recommendations. Facilities of the hostel are also great. Everything is clean and you can find the everything you need. I really could feel there like at home. Highly recommended to everyone!

Wow it has been a long time that I havent seen a hostal/camping like this with shared bathroom that cleaned!! 👏👏👏 congratulations to the staff for all the work and the amability with us. Perfect location in Salento (only one cuadra from the plaza) Nice garden to relax with a kitchen to cook your own food. We camped there and we had very nice nights ! We recommend 100% !

After travelling 6 months through South America, I can say that this hostel is one of the best I encountered. Clean, well decorated, cozy, nice balcony with hammocks, neat bathroom and beautiful view. All of this at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

One of the best hostels I've stayed so far in Colombia. The staff is so nice and everything is clean. They also have a camping area, you can either bring your tent or they can let you one. Free coffee from 8 to 10am, a kitchen in case you wanna cook your own meals, a yakuzzy, a bar, a chill out area...everything you need and next to the main square in Salento! They also organise cycling activities and other stuff. Gracias por todo!

The dorms was full of light and got a problem to sleep at the early morning. In addition the toilet and shower are distance from the room

The hostel is right next to a cantina/bar, the music is super loud and there's drunk people that's been screaming the whole night. Definitely not a place to feel relaxed/rest or sleep. The girl who showed us the room ironically said it was one of the quietest rooms, as it was further away from the other rooms and because it's an old house we would not hear the stepping on the wooden floors... Wish she would have mentioned about the Loud noise of this bar, would have def look into some other place. We complained at the reception and asked for a change or room, which they said they were fully booked and they said they would ask the people at the bar to lower the volume down after 8...but nothing has changed. It seems like we won't get any sleep tonight 🙄😒

Girl at the reception didn't have the greatest attitude neither when got there or when we left. Only can pay with cash. We had a room next to the kitchen and the music was really loud even no one was there. I'll recommend to sound proof the room or lower the volume.

😐 We came here for a basic coffee tour which was still more expensive than other tours in the area that we enjoyed a little more. But it is interesting to see a larger scale operation. The tour guides all speak perfect English and it's a nice experience with picking coffee beans which is a nice touch....
