It has been an incredible experience. The place is magic and the guides are excelent. It is a 2,5 hours of natural contact, Museums, Nature, bird watching, and a lot of surprises. Incredible

Beautiful botanic garden, well worth a visit. It can only be visited with a guide (in spanish). The tour lasts three hours and is very very informative. Our guide was nice young girl, who looked very happy with her job and told us a lot of info about the plants and animals.

A lovely place to learn about biodiversity in Colombia. They are teaching and preserving very important things and our guide was very detailed and passionate about the work. The tours are only in Spanish so if you don't have a good understanding of the language or someone to translate for you it will be a struggle to get the most out of the experience. There is a cafe, shop and bathrooms and it cost around £12pp for entrance and tour guide, I don't think there is an option for no tour. The tour covers butterflies, insects, birds, geography and more. There is a chance to get up close with the butterflies. I hope they will attract more tourists with some translations to other languages in the future.

Beautiful pit stop along your trip. Stop by when the flowers are blooming. It's a 2 hour guided tour through the garden / reserve & mariposario.

Magical place to visit! A must if you're in Armenia, but keep in mind that the butterflies are active only when there's enough sunlight. If you're planning a visit, make sure you do it during morning and after mid-day, in the afternoon they stay under the leaves

Colibris, butterflies, forest, tropical birds and insects. The tour is an hour or two. It ends at the mariposario where one can try to get a butterfly to land on their hand.

It is a nice place to have a contact with plants and birds of the region. The price of the entrance is quite expensive if it is compared with other turistic places of the region. The most interesting place in the garden is the butterfly collection, where you can find several species. The full route takes around three hours. It is recommended to use sun protection.

An excellent place to visit. It's a bit different from the botanical gardens in the US that are mostly focused on the aesthetics of the garden. This place is more focused on nature itself and letting nature show it's own beauty. Don't get me wrong this place is beautiful, it's just beautiful in a different way. It's my understanding that all who visit must do so withing one of their tours. It's not the kind of place where you wander alone. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. They share a wealth of information with their groups. The route is about 2.5 hours. The path is mostly built of cement so hiking boots are not needed. I do recommend comfortable sneakers and perhaps a water bottle. Also go the restroom before stating the tour. Once you get going there are no bathrooms for quite a while. I would not recommend this trail for those with disabilities or someone who uses a wheelchair. Children should be supervised at all times as there are certain spots that can be a bit dangerous. It's nature at it best. The butterfly garden is amazing with plenty. Of butterflies to see. Great foto ops and a wonderful time for visitors. Daniel was our guide. He was great. Cost of entry is 60000 pesos which it's well worth it.

2.5 hours, very interesting, we saw several species of birds, some small mammals and of course, lots of butterflies. You can even grab the butterflies.
