Wow, what an amazing experience we had this evening. We where greeted with a friendly and polite waiter and even the owner came to introduce himself. The service is 5*, we didn't wait long to be served with a selection of drinks and fine wines and then on to our table. Whilst at the table the waiter pulled out chairs and seated us with our napkins on our laps what an amazing experience this was. Now on to the food, it was absolutely delicious, it was freshly prepared and served hot. the curry was amazing nice and full of flavour, Peshawari naan was tasty and generous in size. Even the own catered for my 3 year old child as she's a fussy eater with the classic chips and nuggets. Overall this restaurant is amazing, friendly and polite staff with a very professional owner. Suitable for all occasions. 5* service and great quality food l. I will definitely be returning.

For years anytime we have an Indian we always use banyan tree, If it’s for eating in or delivery.. for years I’ve never done a review but tonight I feel I have to. It’s Mother’s Day, they were busy.. the service and food was impeccable! There was a table close to us who were disruptive and shouting and swearing at the staff and manager for no apparent reason, as someone who owns their own establishment, in my eyes they handled it perfectly! The staff never raised their voices or swore back despite probably wanting to.. they came and apologised to EVERY table after they had removed the disruptive party.. the two men that served us made my 2 year old daughter feel like a total princess, engaging her constantly and did her a “special blackcurrant!” They we’re so accommodating with our 4 month old too.. we had such a lovely night and after seeing what they had to deal with they need some recognition! The staff were amazing and the food was perfect! Thank you so much for Making our Mother’s Day what it was!

Visited this splendid restaurant several times and had many take outs and home deliveries too. Everything nice and clean with pleasant staff Food is always served fresh and hot and is consistent. Great surroundings inside and out. Plenty of parking but can get a little tight if there's too many SUVs parked up.

Never again! Have not been there for 10 years and will Never go back. Not sure who paid you to write those amazing reviews or you never had any quality food and good service in you life probably. This is place is far from fine dining! Waiters come and go to your table in bunches, like 5 were servicing us on Valentine’s Day 2023. Only manager made and eye contact and somehow cared. The rest do not make any eye contact and look tired and fed up. Food is supermarket quality ( not joking) overprice and takes ages to get cooked and service is below 0. I never write reviews for restaurants unless I want to either warn people or really recommend a good place! In this care warning do not water your time and money.

Celebrating my birthday, with family and the food was amazing, very fresh and came out really hot. The staff was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The owner even brought me a birthday cake out, with sparkler, what a great end to a lovely evening. Will definitely be returning.

It was recommended to me and i would absolutely go again, probably soon, the place looked lovely, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was fab! Decently priced too!

First time at The Banyan Tree and wasn't disappointed at all. A beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely fantastic,very tasty and presented well. Staff were lovely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely will be back for the best curry ever!!

By far my favourite Indian for both takeaway and dine in, service is great and never had a bad meal. I also used to frequently visit the Mangrove in Mansfield which is the same team and equally as good.

Not been here for many years but was not disappointed at all still as good as the first time we ever went...excellent service excellent food and lovely atmosphere, well worth a visit.

We arrived at opening time for a end of year / christmas work dinner - it was extremely cold and the heaters were not turned on till much later when other customers arrived. Flavours were not rich and in my opinion probably a little too much on the menu to make good food.

If you’re disabled, and require you’re assistance dog, this place is not right for you! It is illegal to discrimine against disabled people and refuse entry to assistance dogs. We came here for a special occasion as this used to be my favourite restaurant, and I will no longer be returning. I am appalled and furious.

No faults with our meal & service tonight for our party of 8. Generous portions & really tasty. Good choice for veggies & vegans too. Spaciousness, nice temperature & decor. 100% recommend to curry lovers!

Slight delay with the pick up and no real area to wait that wasn't separate from the people dining in, but food was in the pricey side but excellent and waiter apologising for getting so busy and the delay... Can't complain if the demand is so high, can only mean one thing about the quality of the food.. top drawer

Lovely place, friendly staff. Amazing food, great service, even sorted a cake dessert out for us all on our daughters birthday ! Looking forward to our next visit.

What can i say? Amazing! Service was brilliant, the waiter was funny and accommodating. And even brought out some reading glasses so i could read the menu. The food was awesome, and the service was second to none. Will deffo return. brilliant!

Came to dine with my friend, had tandoori king prawns, was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. I would like to thank the management for surprising my friend with a birthday cake, and sambuca for us both, will be back very soon.

Ordered take out and wasn't disappointed. Very tasty and plentiful. The only downer is there isn't delivery to our village so I had to collect. Will definitely be eating in the restaurant soon.

Found this gem of a restaurant by accident on Saturday evening and called in on the off chance that a table was available. We were found a table and by the time we left the whole Restaurant was full - seemed very popular. Not surprised as food was excellent and a little different to usual Indian restaurant menus. We had a really lovely meal and customer service was very good too. Would thoroughly recommend.

We ordered food from here for the first time and were really impressed. The menu choices were great, the food came quickly and was presented really well and was nice and hot. The mixed starter was really generous and the nicest we’ve had, you can tell that a lot of care is put into the food and it’s comes across. Disappointing unfortunately - the curries tasted like they came out of a jar (at best) and the various options we ordered tasted almost identical - must've been a big jar - clearly nothing was freshly made - including the clumpy and tasteless rice. Price-wise it wasn't particularly expensive and the service was fairly attentive aside from the miserable glowering manager/owner who scowled at everyone who came in - service was quite slow - waited 45-mins for the two bland and watery curries we had ordered. On the plus-side the place itself was nicely decorated and welcoming - not that anyone who wants a decent curry should consider visiting - it was overall a very underwhelming experience

Waste of £40. Ordered chicken tikka masala x2 with all the extras. And it smelt and tasted cheesy? Even looked cheesy! Tasted like it had come out of a jar from tescos Couldn’t even eat it after only having one mouthful.

We have been going here for years and we are never disappointed. Even though it was a busy Sunday evening we was made welcome the service was friendly and efficient and the food was amazing cooked fresh and so tasty. My favourite is the tikka masala mirchi.Thank you to all the hard working staff for a lovely evening 🙂 Totally recommend 👍

Called in on recommendation without a booking, what an experience. Right from us walking in we were made welcome, the waiter was amazing, and I can't speak highly enough of the service and quality of food. This will be my restaurant of choice for Indian food in the future.

Went to the Banyan tree last Friday after a delayed birthday meal due to covid. We had an excellent time and fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the service was the same. Staff went out of their way to help. An experience well worth waiting for. Looking forward to going again.

Nice food, reasonable price but it was let down a little by the service. The young staff members seemed a little lost. Was there over 25 minutes and they'd not even taken our order. Had a word and it was quickly sorted. But of a shame as everything else was good.
