Amazing views, very well kept route, which is linear (so you may shorten it if need be) and not too difficult, even for kids (my 9 year old loved it). Helmets protect you from low hanging branches. Haven't noticed any falling rocks but prone to landslides after heavy rain (so avoid it then). Bottles can be refilled with the barranco water in the last part of the hike.

Great hike, it's about 6-6.5km to the waterfall and back. The trail is comfortable and hike is not very difficult, around 2 hours should do it. It's necessary to register beforehand for a small fee and you need to wear a helmet during the hike for safety reasons.

11€ per adult for a Gorgeous walk! Took about an hour and a bit one way to the waterfall and same to return. They recommend to go early in the day to avoid the heat waves of the afternoon. The staff super helpful, we were a mixed group who spoke both English and Spanish and the staff catered both. There were a few steps on the way which some people may found a bit more challenging or hard on the knees. The helmet is required to be used the entirety of the trek. There is also a toilet available at the start.

Delightful walk along this very well managed barranco. Magnificent and varied views, all rewarding. Nature at its finest from birds and plants to frogs and wetlands supplied by the waterfall.

A nice 6km walk/hike. 3km to a waterfall and 3km back along the same road. Beautiful views. The first half is a walk along a mountainside, second half is more tropical, with small streams and more lush nature. Suitable for most people and not very challenging but a base level of fitness is still needed. Can be done in 2 hours at a nice brisk walking pace or 3 hrs at a moderate-leisurely pace. Does include quite a lot of steps of varying heights. The roads are narrow and you will be passing a lot of people going in the same or opposite direction. Be courteous.

Beautiful hiking trip with great view. Trip is around 3 km (6 km both ways) and takes around 2-3 hours. First part is in the sun and can be hot, second part is due the valley sun protected. Helmet is mandatory and makes absolutely sense (we heard stones falling down). Friendly staff at the entrance and also a toilet. Parking either public available or use the new and spacious parking house just 150 m below the entrance (very friendly personal and around 1 € per hour).

Not too hard hike. This is an out and back trail, you cannot get lost. First part leads through hills, second part is in the valley. At the end is a small waterfall. The path is wide and not very exposed. There is not much shadow, so sun protection is important. Nice view of the city and mountains at some places. But honestly, there are much nicer hikes in Tenerife, especially in Anaga.

Nice hike to a virtual not existing waterfall (At least in our case…) You still might be able to spot some fish eagles circling the sky. Moderate difficulty.

Really lovely walk. Don't often get to use the word tranquil to describe Tenerife, but we managed to be inbetween groups and at points had complete silence. We arrived thirty minutes before our pre-booked slot, but that was fine. Everyone goes through a quick safety briefing and you get a basic map. There are 12 points and each has a quick info stand which if nothing else tells you how far you've come, how long to the next info point and to the waterfall. There are points where you shouldn't stick around due to danger of rock falls, which was a bit of a sobering thought, but all was fine for us. Definitely wear sturdy shoes as the path is not smooth, it's quite stony and there's a fair few steps up and down. Would highly recommend going as early as possible as the first bit gets very hot from 11 on. Although we met many people coming against us on the way back, but for me I would have expired!

Book your hike in advance. Park in public parking (quite close, very good prices, for us 3 hours parking cost was 2,60€). Wear hiking shoes/boots. Plan your hike for the morning f.e 9 AM (less crowded, not so hot). Bring your water with you. Breathtaking views. Nice restaurant right next to the place, where you can enjoy a big variety of foods and drinks,

This was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone who likes a hike, stunning views and nature. It's a good 3 hour trail in total, there are some intense steos to climb at parts but the waterfall stop at the end is a stunning view and worth the walk. There is so much to see along the way too. We did an early walk, 9am, and would recommend that time as it is still cool and overcast so easier to do. As we was making it back and it was coming to noon the sun was coming out and it may have been more difficult on a later hike. Either way, I would recommend fitting this into your itinerary on your holiday, we had the rest of the afternoon to find some food in the local town and then head back to the beach to relax our feet after the hike...great day and experience all around. The staff are really helpful and friendly, they give you a safety brief before your hike, and then your free to enter the trail when your ready and go at your own pace. Although you cant stop at certain points on the trail for safety reasons, you dont have to rush it, you can take in the sights and views as you go along. Well worth the price, knowing it all goes back into preserving the trail, staff and maintenance of a beautiful part of the island.

It was a good trip with such a nice view. We have done the trip (go and back) arround 2,5 hours. It was not hard to reach the waterfall. Even we saw a grandma with a sleeping dress hiking the track πŸ˜‚. Just bring your water, it’s a little bit hot during the day!

Easy to intermediate walk only with good trekking shoes recommended. Beautiful breathtaking views of the landscape and the city of Adeje below. Once you hear the gurgling water between the rocks you enter a "magic" garden with plants you would never expect to see in such a place. You just want to keep listening to the sound of water, birds and frogs. Start early if you can to avoid the crowds.

One of the best things to do if you are in Tenerife. It is a 3h journey where you can see the beauty of nature, the great view of Adeje, the waterfall and you can easily hiking without any guide support! Definitely book your ticket in the morning to avoid the hot weather (I went there before 10am), and bring water because you will need it! The staff was really nice, they provided a helmet that you need to wear for the all trip. Highly recommended!!!

You have to book a ticket in advance. You can do that on the home page of Barranco del Infierno. You can only do the tour if the weather is good. We had to rebook our ticket 4 times because of bad weather conditions. We got every time an e-mail in the morning that the path is closed and they suggested us an other date/time. Barranco del Infierno is definitely worth looking at. The view is amazing and we can see different kind of birds also. Before we started the hike we got a map and a helmet.

Great short walk close to hotels in Costa Adeje. Best to go early as gets HOT! Helmets are just safety precaution incase rocks from above, walk itself rocky but has a good path. Lovely views up and down ravine with interesting flora, so many cacti! 🌡

A very nice easy hike in the nature. Come with a bottle of water, and book the earliest slot. It gets really hot after 11AM. A wideangle lens will come in handy to capture the beauty of the narrow ravine.

Very good instructions at check in. Such a wonderful path. On the first kilometre a bit challenging for persons with fear of heights - but surely manageable. Path is very well maintained and due to well organised access management not too busy.

Fantastic trail, but bear in mind that it covers lots of ups and downs. Athe the of the trip, the fitness tracker recorded 73 floors of climbing. So the minimum age of 5 for kids is real on this trail. Lots of amazing views and many great pictures to be taken on the way. Take plenty of water.

Nice trial, one of the best in Tenerife, will take about 1.5h to one direction until waterfall and then 1.5h back. Breathtaking views from mountain cliffs will be followed by green forest and small torrents. In the end, you will see a small waterfall surrounded by high cliffs. Not dangerous, but be careful on stone strairs, some stones can be slipery. Costs 11 eur/adult. Helmes and a short instruction will be provided before you start. Suggest to take with you 1L of water and covered shoes.

Nice area to hike, you can make it as easy or difficult as you want, since there are multiple roads to take. The nature is beautiful and the fresh air coming from the ocean makes it comfortable to walk. Good views promised! :)

Great canyon! It is necessary to reserve in advance. For reasons of nature conservation, the number of visitors per day is limited. You also have to pay a little, but the hiking trail is maintained and you get a helmet because of the risk of falling rocks. The limitation prevents too many visitors, which makes it very pleasant. If you don't reserve a few days in advance, everything may be fully booked. So reserve in time! The hike there and back takes about 3 hours. The path leads to a waterfall and back again along the same path. On the path there are always signs explaining which birds live there. A highly recommended trip!

You need to book online beforehand. When temperatures are too high you might be asked to show up earlier then your original time. Booking and admission worked smoothly. The ways are well maintained and easy to walk. In general, not a very difficult hiking tour. It takes around 2.5-3 hours.

Very much liked the trail. It starts in the dryer vegetation zone that one sees in other areas of the island and as it gets closer to the waterfall and the little stream at the bottom, it becomes humid and a bit jungle-like. The trail was not difficult if one is used to hiking. We also saw obviously untrained people who simply needed a bit more time but managed still. The canyon staff was friendly and helpful. 3h are needed if one walks medium relaxed speed. Fast walkers can do it in less.

Nice walk, beautiful views. I would say it's not that difficult. I'm a smoker, who is not in a shape of her life but I made it easily in two hours both ways. Would definitely recommend, better to take some water with you, comfortable shoes, a hat or another head covering is not necessary as the staff provides you with a safety helmet. I went at first walk at 8 am so it was not so crowded, but on my way back it was getting quite busy.

Great hike went early to beat crowds as has a limited number I think. Went with with and 11year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice change of scenery in the area and pretty waterfalls at the end. Lots of lizards and nice views and when done lovely little cafe at the start/end to finish up πŸ‘

Coming from the UK or felt weird having to pay to hike, however it's a well kept trail and they give you a hardhat. It took us about 2.6 hours to finish there and back, lots of hills but I think anyone could do it. Had a good time!

Absolutely amazing walk through to the waterfall. Best to go as early as possible anything after 9 puts you walking inclines in the hottest part of the day. Staff were very helpful but allow you to complete the hike independently which is lovely. Definitely worth doing!

Nice to visit but not must to visit. It was an easy and good trail but not very special compare to other hiking trails in this scenicful island. The fall is also small and no much water. Also, they sometimes force people to come early for health safety reasons. I booked this place at 11 am as I stayed far. Then they just informed me to come before 9:30am as they are going to close it early on the day. I didn’t have other days I can visit the place later so I had to take taxi .. No shade much except last kilometers

Remember to book your appointment before you arrive on their website. A 3hr hike back and forth. Fairly easy hike. But can be awfully warm at times. So be prepared with water and even something to dry yourself with. Absolutely incredible surroundings and the sounds of nature are just magnificent. Would not miss this opportunity and definitely recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful hiking trip. Absolutely worth it! And not really so hard as they claim it.

Beautiful hike into a gorge with panoramic views and a pitoresque waterfall at the end. Not very difficult and long, so a perfect hike for beginners and families. But make sure to put on sunscreen and take enough water with you as there is very little shade for most of the hike.

Nice walking tour of 3.5 hours back and forth. From a rough landscape with wide views, to a kind of jungle ending in a small waterfall. The walk is doable in regular sneakers. Staff is curt.

  • 5/5 Celia B. 2 years ago on Google
The hike is quite easy and nice. I would suggest it on a day that is not too hot, because there is not shelter for a big part of the trail.

  • 5/5 Dawid 2 years ago on Google
Views are absolutely amazing, it's really worth to visit the place. Just remember to book in advance as there's a hard limit of people that can hike there daily. I'd also recommend booking the earlier hours as, especially during vacation period, it can get quite hot there after 11:00. Staff is really helpful and keeps an eye out on weather conditions and people, so everyone can feel safe.

Great wee hike to a lovely waterfall. Just a 2 hour hike there and back for most people. Great views and scenery. You can drink the water at the end, but its not recommended unless you can purify it. Lots of flora and some fauna. Kids will love the adventure. Book in advance and fill form in online to speed up. Helmets required, but there is no real risk.

Been a few times , always love it and always the favourite . Long walk in the nature only listening to birds and frogs . Quite wild and fantastic scenery . Wouldn't suit children and need to be quite fit ( medium difficultly) . You need to pre book a ticket as they only accept a few people per day , also only open from 8:30 to 11:30 for entry

Beautiful hike. We purchased tickets online in advance and I am so happy we were able to do this hike. You do have to wear a helmet though out the entire hike. We took our 7 year old who was able to walk the hike easily. I do recommend wearing proper footwear as the terrain is pretty uneven and rugged in areas. The varied landscape and views made it all worth it. My husband wasn’t impressed with the waterfall at the end but still really enjoyed the hike in it’s entirety. Really a unique experience.

Beautiful walk down into the canyon to visit one of the few natural streams in Tenerife. The walk and views during the walk are beautiful. If you look up you can see several windings in the canyon and it creates a beautiful scenery you keep looking at. The walk itself is just as advertised, no steep climbs or β€˜of the trail’ parts. You are guided very well to the waterfall and back. We had a little bit cloudy day and started at 10:45, which was perfectly doable in terms of heat, but I can imagine that on clear days you want to go a bit earlier if possible. Bring about 1,5l water per person at least, even for cloudy days. Definitely worth the visit in my book!

A very pleasant route. we did this route with a 6-year-old child and an older person learning from our mistakes, I recommend booking the earliest hours. A 6-year-old or a pensioner may not be able to reach the waterfall in 1.5 hours, it took us 2 hours and unfortunately we were turned back just before the waterfall. You need to take plenty of water and strong sunscreen with you. I recommend wearing UV T-shirts and climbing shoes. Helmets are provided.

  • 3/5 Christina C. 1 year ago on Google
It was a really short hike - my partner and I finished it in 2hrs (it's suggested 3hrs). We needed to wear helmets in case some rocks fell. They were given out for free. You can also rent walking sticks and boots (4 euros). You need to book a timeslot to enter ahead of time as they limit the number of people. You can also purchase a ticket at the entrance. The fee is a whopping 11 euros each...there is some parking around the area and a parking lot nearby. Overall, a decent easy walk with some interesting rock formations. The waterfall was just trickling.
