We had a great stay at this resort. It was calm and peaceful with a stunning ambience. The room was good and clean, with a nice view of the lake and a good sit-out space to relax right next to the lake. The property is large and has many rooms in different categories. It also has an ample parking space near to the restaurant. Food was very tasty and the service was also really good. They also have a small play area for the kids with swings slide and seesaw. The tariff was good and affordable and the location is worth the price we paid for. Its a recommended place for a calm and peaceful stay in a good ambience.

We had a get together of our Engineering batch over here as an overnight event. The venue was great, with good food and staff was extremely helpful to make the event a great success and comfortable for the entire group.

Great location with a great view, quiet and serene for family vacation, staycation, The resort Staff were very hospitable. They were helpful with local eat outs recommendation. Food at the resort was good, homely and fresh. Overall had a happy stay. Cleanliness in rooms could be improved. Would like to return again.

A good family friendly property with well maintained rooms. Adequate space for car parking, a neat and clean restaurant and above all good service and customer care. But still don't know why the KTDC is not showing any interest in promoting this beautiful place

Beautiful location with water frontage, superbly furnished rooms, good & quality service with well behaved staffs. We had an overnight reunion of engineering batchmates. Enjoyed it fully.

The location and property is just perfect to be true! But the room and washroom are dirty. Insects are roaming freely inside the washroom and room. So stay at your own risk ✌🏻

Location is good, people are helpful as well. The property is old, so the rooms and the bed had dust. But overall nice experience of visiting this place. You can enjoy your morning or evening while sitting near the backwaters. The breakfast buffet was limited, but tast is of authentic Kerala food. Washrooms are clean, no complaint there. At this price, it's a good resort i must say.

Over all an average experience. Location and ambience is the highlight. But the management should seriously consider to maintain this place well. It's a quite, peaceful and lovely place. But can't say the same about room conditions. That part need to have lot of improvements. Furnitures looks old and dirty. Amenities are really poor, TV and fans don't work properly. The fan in our room was totally shaking and had a really annoying sound. AC remote was not working. TV's volume was not working properly. But bathroom was well cleaned, food served at the restaurant was good and delicious. Service too was ok.

The location is really good. The hotel is neat but not maintained well. It has a high potential if looked after well. The food is worse to be frank . Even a beginner can cook fried rice and pulao better than what we got. Couldn't even finish the food and didn't even pack the rest as take away as we were so sure taking it home won't have any purpose.

Food not tasty, served cold. Should maintain the surroundings neatly, make it more attractive. Serve quality food.

Beautifully located on the upper side of Thaneermukkam dam, this place is serene and peaceful. Sunrise in the morning and the full moon night views on the Vembanad are breathtaking. Lakeview rooms are recommended as they offer a nice lake viewing balcony. Free breakfast for all guests. Lunch options are limited as only meals are available. Food also served in the room. Rooms are spacious and tidy with good furnishing. There is a children park which is under maintenance. In this budget this resort is actually a steal.

Peaceful and greenish surrounding... the price is also reasonable... Had an issue with AC noise.. maintenance staff managed to fix it.. The in-house restaurant serves good food..

the property is very spacious and clean and gives you the feel of a beach side resort. facilities are good. however there is no phone in the room and for anything you have to walk down to the reception to let them know what you need. the location of the hotel is also far off from tourist places is and it is difficult to get transport or any taxi to Alleppey.

I booked AC room, it was very good. Very nice, peaceful place. Food is also good one can eat... Breakfast and dinner both was good.. At the reception, everyone is helpful. Lady there guide and helps me to explore allepey.

It's a beautiful lake front property located on the shore of National water way connecting Kollam to Kochi. The place has an old world charm with lot of shades,greenery and lake view garden but in general is poorly maintained. You will get the authentic feel of a government run hotel, not too bad actually, the basics are in place. Rooms are poorly maintained and sheets are unclean. Room service charge thirty precent of food bill though the restaurant is few steps away from the room, the food though is very tasty and reasonably priced.

I have not stayed in the rooms or experienced their services. But I can tell you that it does not give you the vibe you will get in the other resorts in the region. The compound looks pretty barren and basic. The summer sun will make you suffer because of this. The cottages look nice and could maybe make up for its letdowns. It is cheaper than the rest.

We ordered two fish curry meals for sharing between two adults and the children ,had less apetite only ,so thought about sharing ,thinking not to waste food . Also ordered neymeen masala , karimeen masala but they refused to give food because we asked for four plates.

This property was one of the worst choices I made ever. Location is on the opposite site of the bund that separates the backwaters boating area from sea water. So, you don't get any good views from the property. Neither boating area, neither sunset , nor sunrise. Though the Room was big and clean. The lawn area was shabby. The chairs broken or dirty. Basically you have nothing to do at the property. Boating point is 7 kms away. Restaurant breakfast in the morning had Rice pudu with brown pea curry and some plain uttapam. Even Bread , butter is not served. My kids could not have anything in breakfast. And saw other guests too leaving their breakfast after tasting and checking out. There are no other restaurants nearby. Better, avoid this property.

Had an awesome experience at this backwater resort. The accomodation was impressive. I went there with my colleagues twice and both the visits are worth remembering. The rates are decent and the food served was delightful. The Manager and the staff were really welcoming in nature.

Nice place, good food & ambience, lot of parking area, sorrounded by vembanadu backwaters at 2 sides, adjacent to main road and Thannermukkom saltwater barrier, accomodation available.

Excellent location. Adequate infrastructure with scope for further development. But one cannot help but compare this property with similar ventures in the private sector. This place leaves a typical feel we get when we contact Goverment establishments...there is a slowness to all things here. The rooms and washrooms need to have cleanliness levels spiked up. The maintenance is not up to the mark expected especially in times of Covid. The worst experience comes in the food sector The restaurant has few choices. The quality of food is just average. The waiters and managers are not on their toes. You can sense a sort of reluctance when we enquire about food choices and sourcing something that is not ready at the moment. The cleanliness in the restaurant is even worse. They are not even cleaning the floor off spilt food after a group leaves and the washroom is not cleaned after all the guests have finished one meal. This should be viewed taking into account the fact that there are no decent restaurants in the surrounds for sourcing food from else where once you reach there. The excuse offered is that they are opening up just after Covid lockdown. But the place was booked full for the weekend. They could offer a better fare when they expected the place to be full. We leave the place with a feeling it is a waste of an excellent property in Govt hands. I would only mark 3 stars for this place but accidently marked 4 stars 😀

One of the peaceful place to stay, located near the lake so it's very pleasant for morning and 3ve walk. Restaurant inside is very good and good value for money. Staffs are so polite and problems are solved in few mins. Since it's located outside the town , no chance of disturbance. Hotel is spread over a large area so you can have a good relaxed walk over there in the lawn.. its one of the best hotel I have stayed in..

Low maintanence. Really sad to see such heavy investment of govt property is not utalised.

I would say why Kerala Government and tourism department is avoiding such a beautiful property. All the rooms and property need immediate maintenance. Happy with staff , ambience and location.

Very bad behavior some people. Not all people. Parking area very dirty. And Drivers please please don't go this place. Drivers bathroom is very bad 🤮🤮🤮. Not cleaning bathroom areas. Door 🚪locking system is very different only man power💪💪💪. .. Don't go. You have lots of choice. 🤔🤔🤔 don't waste your time and money... 😇😇😇😇😇.

Nature at its best in God's own country. What a place to spend your weekend with your family; enjoying the backwaters and cool breeze in summer and winter. KTDC hotel is a multicuisine restaurant serving top quality food at very reasonable rates and the fact that it overlooks the backwaters makes it an ideal place to while away. The service is quick and professional and the place is clean and neat, including the toilets. Normally, public have poor opinion of government owned establishments but a visit to this place will give you a totally different and pleasant experience. Also, the cottages provide an ideal for a romantic honeymoon. The bird sanctuary nearby is a must place to visit and is the icing on the cake.

Excellent location. Lot of open space, kids play area and awesome view of the backwaters. Rooms are outdated, bathrooms are slippery. Service is every good. The restaurant serves excellent food if you give enough time for preparation, better order ahead.

In short "value for money". It's a budget resort however don't get confused with the pictures. There is a small childrens play star and cycling.There isn't any pool here. The rooms are pretty decent and food is very good.

Beautiful location by the side of the lake. Adequate open spaces. However, lack of maintenance is killing this resort. The furniture in the rooms need urgent replacement. General cleanliness of the area needs immediate attention.

The property is very good and at the best location. Every room has a view of the lake. Nowadays rooms are good and in the near future rooms will be renovated then it will become best. The manger of that property Mr. Jaykumar is very kind and talkative. I saw that he was always approaching the guest and asking about how was stay and food. He is very helpful to us over further journey to poovar and his suggestions are very helpful to us. When ever you visit that property meet Mr. Jaykumar.

Awesome location...place to click a lot of aesthetic pics.. Food was useless n had to wait for a lifetime to get it delivered...none of the dishes had salt ..

Great place for a comparatively low cost getaway. The rooms are not that well maintained though. Flaked/peeled wall paints due to water damage, but this is because the property is so near to the lake.
