Quiet ambience. Easily reachable. Just beside NH. Rates little bit high. But the service from kitchen side is very poor, I have to wait more than 1 hour for food, that too got in not a good manner. Waited for one hour but got cold dishes of chicken, then complained. Then they took back one dish and brought it back after heating it. Asked for hot water to waiter then they told no hot water to serve. After nearly half an hour they brought hot water that too having no warmth at all. At the end I paid rs 1659 for the so called food and services.

Last week unfortunately we went there for breakfast. We thought they will come and take order waiting 30minutes nobodies coming to our table. Finally i ask cleaning boy "can you please take order". Finally one person come and take order, then food delivered after 30 minutes. (Waiting 1 hour here then they delivered food is not hot , its cold..so wired) Billing is so funny, They given bill but they are not coming to take a payment, so finally i stand Infront of the kitchen, then they are providing payment options. Ohh my god this is my first worst experience

Meals was not upto the expectation. Alleppey is quite famous for large variety of tasty local recipes. Hotel need to include more local dishes in menu.

Pathetic service but pretty good looking infrastructure from outside. Trust me when I say pathetic service, I had to go to the restaurant manually to get drinking water at night and in the morning. Called multiple times and “yes sir. Ok”. I mean I had to get someone manually to help me get to the room 🤣 how cool is that. Pretty much self serve mentality. Wow! In case you try to give a reply, GTFO my face please. Don’t be a sugar coating machine.

It would have been great only if the service and staff was also maintained at the level of the looks of the place. Post 30 minutes of placing the order no one bothered to get food. Up on checking, it was told there are many people so there will be delay. We walked out and no one was bothered. At this rate this place will remain as a show piece and lose its credibility which seems not too far. If the focus of the business is not restaurant and is stay , bar etc then the expectation should be set that way instead of wasting people's time. It was a never go back experience.

Had lunch 4-5 times over last 6-8 months. Well laid out property, nice ambience, clean toilets. Need improving their operations. Placing orders, delivery, billing takes time

The worst ever experience I had in my life at a restaurant. On our way to kochi we stopped there for lunch.Patiently waited for 20mins, no one came to the table and not even water was served. Then went to the staff,someone else was already complaining about the service. They didn't even bother to acknowledge me and told the other person so arrogantly to give negative reviews and said it won't matter to them. Again waited for 15mins and then walked out.Thankfully within 1km we find a good place and had our lunch in just 20mins. Keralaties are very tolerant to such pathetic service and arrogance, had it being any other place this place wouldn't survive for 10days with such attitude.

Pathetic service . Went for lunch with family . Asked an extra plate for my 4 year old kid. They didn’t provide. Requested to top up drinking water , I had to remind again to get it done. No follow up after serving the meal . Ordered fish meals , quality is average.No one look back after serving the first meal . Lot of flies around .

Good ambience and Location. Ample parking. Food average. Service and attitude of staff need to improve.the property seen interesting and photo genic. toilet need to b cleaned on timely basis. Need to have trained and happy staff rather than frustrated ones

Room was clean and tidy. Food is fantastic. Reasonable price. Bar staff ( Manager or supervisor) was very rude. The guy didn't even talk politely when we asked for a table.

We happend to pass by Travancore hotel and decided to have lunch from there considering the good ambience that was eye catchy from outside. Little did we know of the disappointment we were about to experience. We odered food for 5 people and had to wait for 1 hour until they served us half of what we ordered. We waited another 20 mins for the remaining. But the best part was that we were not let down by the long waiting time. We were kept busy by the flies who never left our sides and kept us entertained throughout the wait and even after that. Kudoos to their dedication. The service staff also played good hide and seek. When we looked out for them to complain regarding the long wait and flies, we could not spot them. I would suggest or recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to kill time playing with jolly flies waiting for below average food.

En-route from Cochin to Kollam on 02 Oct 2023, stopped over for lunch along with family and friends. The service was very poor, it took almost 45 min to place glasses and plates for 9 people and that too after telling the staff multiple times. The initial order took about an hour and the repeat one could not materialise even after an hour. Finally, we decided to leave after paying for whatever we ate. There was no floor manager to coordinate the activities. A very disappointing experience. Definitely will not go back again.

We went for a quick bite in the evening. Service was good, but lacks flexibility. For eg. We wanted 7 cutlets, but they serve only 6. If I need one more, need to order another set of 6. 🤣. The so called cutlets tasted and looked like nuggets, but cost twice and sized half of a regular cutlet. I believe it was a frozen pack of 6. The ambience of the property is highly appreciable.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The service and way of talking wasn’t good and pleasant at all. The food they served didn’t had any salt or necessary taste. I ordered a fresh lime which was very bad. It was like a simple water with sugar in it and I got it with a fly in it. Very bad experience it was. I would never suggest this restaurant. Because we pay for the food and they are not serving food of that price. Very disappointed it was. Plz don’t go in just because the outer look is good.

We got in for lunch thinking we would have a good experience with the good looking ambiance but food was not that good. We had hair in our food and fish fry that was not good. The fish was day old refried fish. We told the manager but all they had to say was sorry and didn't offer to correct the issues. I would recommend another place to eat.

Stay was okay but for some reason they cut short the menu and also the food served took at least 1.5 hr each time. This was kind of annoying when you are traveling with your kids. We tried the restaurant also for breakfast which was the most irritating experience where they served us after 2 hours or wait. We ordered at 8.30 and food was served at 10.15 and that too after an argument with the staff . Because they had no intention of serving before that. The food served was horrible too. The best part is that you will not find a single person or a manager whom you may find responsible . The only option is to argue with the waiters who do not have a choice. This food and service was pathetic. No intention of going back to them

The food tasted fine, but the service was SO SLOW. We had to wait for over 45 minutes for the fish curry meals, and another 15 mins to sort out the bill, especially when they added a dish to the bill which they forgot to bring to the table. There is definitely a need to improve the service, as that could hamper the overall experience of the restaurant, which has a beautiful traditional ambience.

They built a restaurant around a traditional nalu kettu. Nice aesthetics. But tea was bad and costly. They don't have a scoop for ice cream and it's costly too 😂 they will bring you a scrambled mess.

Stayed at this property to attend a family function. Property is located right of the NH and is easily accessible. However the service and quality of rooms is just average. Did not get an opportunity to try the restaurant.

The property is beautiful and has the look and feel of a traditional architecture of Kerala. The rooms are also very neat and clean. Restaurant has a good ambience and the food is yummy - especially the Kerala cusine. They have nice banquet halls and open ground where I've arranged events with family and friends. The staffs are very cooperative and receptive - a special mention to the manager Ms. Sabitha. On a whole, the property can be introduced to anyone as an authentic Kerala destination!

Rooms and the ambience was so nice , reception team should know minimum knowledge about the customer service,i had a chance to speak to the front desk leader. while explaining my concern she was interrupting and started arguing. Service can improve based on feedbacks,but she is not willing to hear. Restaurant is nice but there is bunch of flies around.no prevention have taken.i have ordered meal,fish fry & karimeen.1 was missing and the food is too cold. Notified the server but no response. Management team look into this to make it better then this property definitely lead in success.

Had a great experience the food was great we went for lunch and it was great the service was good the food was good the only thing I would complain about was that there was alot of flies around us. It was a little bit of a bother but this is something that can be easily fixed. Other than that the ambience and look was spectacular and the food was incredible

Went there for taking Dinner, the arrangements at the hall is amazing reminds the heritage of kerala and palace like feel with dim warm lights , have good parking spaces and great ambience.

Once i came here to have breakfast with my family. I felt bad about only one thing, the flies... I was totally upset regarding this and i wondered they do not have any equipment for control this issue. Remaining things are fine. Nice ambience. Tasty food. Good parking space.

The Royal style Hotel. Superb stay. Room was luxurious. The room decorations was best among all hotels I have ever seen. The breakfast was very delicious. They also extended our checkout to 1 hour on our request and kept our luggage until evening as we were on Kochi sightseeing trip. They also upgraded our room for free. Overall this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

We (five members), had a very bad experience with this hotel, this happened on August 25th 2023. We ordered Kalanchi fish curry along with the meals. Oh my goodness, the curry was with such a foul smell that I pressed the hand wash 5 times to remove that smell from my hand. When we reported the issue they suddenly changed the curry and replaced it with karimeen fry (pearlspot), which was not so bad. But the good feel of enjoying the food lost due to this issue. I thought they may do some reduction in the charges, but that too didn't happen, they didn't charge for kalanji curry but charged for the karimeen fry, we didn't argue for that since we were in a rush to the airport. Also, what I felt like is that they are raising flies there. This issue too was reported to them directly. I hope they might have made necessary changes to avoid such issues in future. What I would suggest before the management is that making the infrastructure and premises beautiful is not so mandatory, but provision of tasty and healthy food is most expected by everyone, do regular and stringent monitoring of the cooking jobs is much needed to avoid such shameful issues. By making the length of ceiling fan little more, you can avoid the issue of flies because then only air will reach up to the floor, or can place wall fans there. All other food and side dishes were good, but the flies and fish curry issue devoured all the fun!!!

This is one of the best places on the highway. You can have a traditional feel here. A typical old kerala. The place is really clean. Have fun with family. There is also an executive bar lounge available. Food was also good.

The place is very good. But the service we received on that day wasn't good. That man wasn't friendly to us and we felt as if he behaving like if you wanna eat, eat and go manner

Yummy breakfast with appam and beef roast that still lingers in my palate. The hospitality and the true kerala ambience is a delight for me. Enjoyed every moment of the Travancore Palace. The food was delicious and the value for money is for sure. Our favourite place which we will visit again soon.

Restaurant looks are good. Food is average, but horrible thing is you will not be able to eat your food in the front as you are busy hitting flies. eecha palace lol

Worst experience ever. We visited their restaurant. The service was very very poor. The food tasted just bland and we got it only after 45 minutes waiting. We ordered biriyani and they didn't even serve the pickle , pappadam and salad. Got those only after we finished eating that too after asking the staff many times. They serve biriyani with egg and ours was without it. When complained one of the staff said the serving people doesn't know malayalam and we would have got proper food if we asked him. This place is only for ambiance, the food taste and service is below average.

We a group of nearly 23 people go there for lunch. We already book the meals but not book any side dishes. After our arrival we ordered side dishes and the hotel staff says we have to wait for 20 minutes and we accept it. But we have to wait for nearly 45 minutes. Service was so poor. Food was nice. Dear hotel management please make necessary arrangements for good service.
