This hotel is a disaster. On 23 Oct 2021 I had stayed with my family and friends. Very bad experience. The hotel refused to serve food in the restaurant after 8 P M and the food was served in cheap containers. Even drinking water is not provided in the room.Room service never picked up the phone. When asked for break fast, hotel staff said Restaurant will start at 11o clock only. We finally went out side for morning tea and break fast. One hotel staff named Vishnu who looks after the front office, is arrogant, adamant and unprofessional in dealing with the guests. He argue and misbehave with the guests. I had never seen such a horrible property any where in India. Please don't stay in this property. Also request the hotel management to look in to the sad state of affairs in the hotel.

Great place to get some tasty and delicious food . This is a bar attached hotel. The family restaurant is on the first floor and is really clam and quite. The foods are at a very convenient rate , and are tasty. Long waiting time was a problem it took almost 30 minutes to get the food. One of the best place to stay at vaikom.

We conducted our baby's baptism in their 3rd floor banquet hall on Oct 22 nd and their service & event management was really bad. We went to see the hall before booking. We were hesitant on booking as it seemed to us, it would be uncomfortable for guests more than 80. But while raising the same question , the manager told us they will give us a nearby ball room as well. So thinking that room also is available, we did the booking but they didn't open the ball room during the function and told some excuses. Because of that, guests were complaining about congestion. Also they didn't keep food on time even though we informed the timings earlier. After keeping food nobody was there to serve and they didn't keep cutlery to take food. After keeping cutlery, nobody was there to replenish plates and cutlery on the table, and guests were waiting after it was finished. Icecream was kept very late by the time almost everyone left. They have done a different stage as compared with the models they send and stage lighting was not proper so it looked dull. We have clearly told them earlier itself lighting should be proper otherwise photo and stage won't look nice. Even though the food, hall neatness, clean restrooms etc were good, because of the aforementioned flaws we had a very horrible experience, as some of the guests themselves complained about congestion, service etc. We cannot trust the management based on what they say initially. They are absolute zero in honesty and integrity. They tried to avoid conflicts by hiding the ball room unavailability, food timing latency etc. If they informed us earlier, we could have done some thinking and done some alternate arrangements. They have very little coordination and management skills, which ultimately caused embarrassment to us. So we recommend going to some other place.

This is a review of the restaurant - didnt get a chance to check out the rooms but the restaurant services warranted a review - so here we go.. I was with my whole family, travelling back from Koothatukulam to our temporary residence in Kothavara when we felt hungry. We were near Vaikom, so I circled around town to reach Kokonut (my last haunt there in last trip) to find it closed). I circled around town once again to end up back at Valiyakavala junction and then moved forward to find White Gate. I didn't expect much and maybe that's why I was extremely delighted at the end too. Service: Right from the parking spot to the property manager to the restaurant manager and the service team - everyone was polite, courteous caring and prompt. There was zero delay in service, the staff answered queries and even noted down changes in order without a fuss. When they saw that we have two young kids with us, they moved us to a a better table and made sure we had better service. There was someone close to beckon all the time. We had a great time - I feel these guys don't just get tips they earn them. Food - the food was great. It was fresh - though we went in a non-crowded time, everything we order felt and tasted fresh and hot. it took a little time but the preparation and quantity felt sufficient. The taste was great too and nothing felt over spicy. We ordered chicken biriyani, fried rice, beef fry, mixed noodles and kerala Porotta and everything tasted good. Though I personally prefer high levels of chilly, I felt kids enjoyed the food due to their milder level and thumbs up to them. Prices were surprisingly low for a restaurant of such quality and service. We three adults ate with two kids and packed some and the bill was just above 1K. This was surprising for a tourist like me. Good place to stay. Very neat and clean place.

Located at a convenient distance away from the Vaikom temple with ample car parking and a popular bar seems to be the only things going for this small town 3 star hotel. Breakfast is absent and even a cup of tea is not served in the early morning made all the more difficult since there is no kettle in the bedroom. The front desk employees sound very inflexible when we request for a small extension in the checkout time despite the fact that the peak season was not on. Go here only if you can accept all these conditions.

Best place if you are looking for a family dinner night

Location , appearance and cleanliness good. But there were many deficiencies. Management should set right the following:- 1. Items promised to be provided in the room were not provided. Had to ask for. 2. Complimentary breakfast was not available despite advance information. No accountability. No one seems to bother! Had to leave restaurant without breakfast.

Too much long waiting time . Ordered biriyani soup and it took more than 45 mins to deliver . They didn’t cancel order otherwise I would have left without eating . Took more than 15 mins to deliver even after I threatened to leave . If u have ample time to wait here for food then only come

Spacious clean and with many aminities that would exceed our expectations. Yet, due to less occupancy I think, the restaurant was not serving completely.

This is supposed to be the one and only standard hotels in Vaikom. We went there to dine in for dinner. Unfortunately they lack resources. There was only one waiter and he was attending all the tables and serving food. We had to wait for 30 min to get our food. Food was decent and no complaints but their quantity is very very less compared to other hotels. The 2 ratings I had given is for ample parking facility and for the food taste. Forgot to mention.They have well maintained 🚻 restrooms too. A suggestion to the hotelier - you have the hotel located at the heart of the city. You can also focus on the restaurant sector rather than opening for namesake. You can have couple of more waiters and increase the portion of food quantity. You can have an handwash section in the dining area rather than walking towards the stairs. I understand having the restroom there but atleast handwash can be kept at dining area.

I am here for a board meeting for 4 hours from Thodupuzha, while meeting, my wife physical condition got wrong. But the Staffs from Restaurant and Cleaning helped us a lot. Thank you so much. I suggest White Gate Residency for Companies meetings not only by this accident, but their facilities and services.

The 3rd floor hall is very convenient for 60-80 people function in Vaikom. Very approachable and cordial event management by Rahul. Sadya was also good.

My native is Vaikom and I stayed at White Gate Residency for my cousin's wedding. Had an amazing and relaxed stay. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff is also cooperative and polite. The room is of good quality, with an iron, and a hair dryer every amenities mentioned were available in the room. Overall good at this price. Would definitely visit again.

I have visited the restaurant here the waiting period is really killing. Food quality is very poor and the service is pathetic and ac is just for the name sake. Overall I will rate 1/10

We booked an AC hall for a function...however the AC functioning was minimal..Food was ok...Price on higher end..Great staffs n service but overall coordination was missing...

This is the best hotel in Vaikom in terms of location & stay. Pretty close to both the Vaikom temple & even the Vaikom beach. The beach is actually the lakefront. The room is neat & tidy but the service is terribly slow. While you not get a feel of staying in a professionally run hotel but the staff try to be cheerful & do their best to the best of their ability. Rest assured there will be comedy of errors. For eg my room was 704 but the staff forcefully tried to open up 702. I asked for a KF beer ( mentioned not the strong one ) but a KF strong was delivered after 30 mins. I was said strictly non smoking hotel. But I found all smokers were gleefully smoking in their room. I can go on but I will still recommend this hotel because I was informed by a local that the other places need to be chosen at one’s own risk.

It was a nice Hotel, I stayed here for two days. Good ambiance.It's near to the vaikom temple . Had breakfast, it was good but there was shortage in staffs in the restaurant.

Hotel Management is not even ready to answer our calls about our enquiry. They just disconnected the phone in the middle of the conversation. What a professional behaviour. What kind of service they will provide if they are not even ready to answer customer query with patience ?

Not satisfied.after huge wating time getting cold food. Only soup was tasty but quantity very less. High usage of pineaple essence in Biriyani. Porota taste was same like packet porota.

Ambience was good. But Long waiting.. I booked lunch for 10 people few days ago and still it took long time. Food was cold and didn't taste as good as how it used to be.

Very bad experience we faced in family restaurant yesterday, 3 drunken people came to restaurant and started talking loudly and using bad words. We informed restaurant manager.

We very recently have migrated from Delhi to Kerala, and were looking for the best spot to celebrate our little kids 1st bday. The very 1st name striked to us was WHITEGATE RESIDENCY. Rahul from WG Residency dealt with each situation very warmly and made it the best to remember forever, food and service was fantastic. Will definitely suggest to others. The only one in vaikom town ,comfortable rooms and accomodations,garden and parking maintained well, well disciplined staff,Good AC hall for small party, functions, get-together and other events , Being a 3 star hotel its affordable for middle class for any small events or function, A better outdoor location for photoshoot,

Ambience is good...but staffs are utterly waste..They are busy in watching TV programs..Service also very late..We had to wait 45 mins for our food to arrive. Price is very much affordable..

The place is hygienic and spacious enough with adequate parking space too... Service is also good... But neither the bar nor place has a Menu card... We repeatedly asked for the same but they jus told the menu and the rates which they found profitable... Overall it's a bit expensive for what it is...

Great place for small to medium sized gatherings, buffet menu was expensive for the items and quantity of the food served. Some food items were tasty, few items were not that great(especially sambar). One of the main issue I have seen that if more people eat from the ordered food they charge extra(without adding any more food), but if less people eat there is no discount. Party halls can be a little more cleaner, number of wash rooms are not adequate for the size of the hall. Easy access from the main road, very close to Vaikom temple.

Top place, I mean it. Bit expensive but the food is good. Has a bar, huge parking space, also they have a good recreation hall.

Just near Valiyakavala junction north to Vaikom Mahadeva temple. Good hotel with Bar attached. Convention centre available on the 3rd floor which is small. But on 4th floor its large. Easily reachable, roadside, parking area is very good. Behind the entrance we get a good auditorium which is not much wide but long. Open till midnight.

Great service and amazing choices of food. Nice sea food options. The coffee served here is good and in a special pot. Go for the coffee if you're there. It's amazing. And the prawns menu is having so delicious items.

The place is at Vaikom town. Easy to identify. It's a four star hotel. The rooms are very good. Nicely serviced. Little bit costly. Was wondering why they dint provide brush and paste even for AC deluxe room. Room service was also good and fast. Overall had a nice experience.

The dining experience proved underwhelming. The porotta, Prawns Roast, juice, soup, and more all fell short of expectations. The porotta, in particular, resembled a rock with its excessive hardness and chewiness. Despite the passable gravy, the prawns lacked freshness. However, a saving grace was the superb juice, and the ambiance of the place remained pleasantly inviting.
