Arthunkal beach is located near to the famous church - St. Andrew's Basilica. It is about 2km away from the church. Visitors normally gather in the evening. Arthunkal being a religious worshiping centre devotees visit the beach frequently. Nice spot to spend time with family and friends to enjoy the cool breeze and sunset. A beach that reveals the life of fishermen who catch and sell the fishes for income. The entryway to the beach is bit dirty. But beach is beautiful. The beach is the endless stretch of coconut trees planted along the beach. Water is not dirty but bathing in the sea is restricted by the beach police squad. I won't recommend diving or swimming as its very steep. Sometimes, the wave is also too high. Ample parking area...Small food stalls are there. There is a small park in Northern side of the beach.

It's a lovely beautiful long sandy beach!!! Approximately 700 meter from Arthunkal basilica. When visiting Arthunkal Church, you can come and relax a little here. Better to come in morning or evening time, It's too hot in the afternoon, Very less shade also. Don't expect more, It's an average beach compared to other beaches! Anyhow you can enjoy a coastal experience here! If the government or related authorities can take the initiative then they can turn this into a wonderful tourist spot!

Arthunkal Beach, situated in the beautiful coastal town of Arthunkal in Kerala, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful and serene escape for beach lovers. The first thing that strikes you about Arthunkal Beach is its pristine beauty. The golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see, bordered by swaying palm trees and the azure waters of the Arabian Sea. It's a picture-perfect setting that invites you to unwind and forget your worries. The beach is not only a natural wonder but also holds cultural and historical significance. Arthunkal is home to the renowned St. Andrew's Forane Church, a place of pilgrimage for Catholics, and the annual Feast of St. Sebastian draws thousands of devotees and tourists alike. The church's striking architecture against the backdrop of the sea adds a unique charm to the beach. The calm and gentle waves at Arthunkal Beach make it ideal for swimming, and the beach remains relatively less crowded compared to some other popular Kerala beaches. It's a tranquil spot where you can take a leisurely stroll, enjoy a book, or simply soak in the beauty of nature. Local vendors offer fresh coconut water and snacks, adding to the authentic coastal experience. The beach is well-maintained, with clean surroundings and a serene ambiance that makes it a perfect place for families, couples, and solo travelers. In conclusion, Arthunkal Beach is a true hidden gem on the Kerala coastline. Its natural beauty, cultural significance, and peaceful atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a serene and soul-soothing beach experience. Whether you're a beach enthusiast or a history buff, Arthunkal Beach has something special to offer.

One of the best and famous beach in Alappuzha District. The beach is very near to the reputed Arthunkal Church. The beach is clean and maintained. The beach has sufficient space for parking and it is free. Small shops for ice cream and snacks are available. The road leading to the beach is good.

Arthunkal beach marked by a calm and serene atmosphere. Also known as fishermen's beach. 600 metres far from Arthunkal Church. Don’t have parking spaces, better to park near church and take walk to the beach. Live fishes are available. This is one the many beaches that you would find in the state and is located in the district of alapuzzha in central Kerala. when you compare with other beaches in the state, this would be an ordinary one with less provisions and facilities that you would find along any beaches. since this place is very well known, one can reach here via public and private transportation with limited parking space for private vehicles. the best time to visit would be during evening hours when you would get a glimpse of a beautiful sunset and a peaceful walk along the coast of the beach - this would be something that you would want to have along with your family and friends. as for snacks and juices, there are some small shops that you can try out but don't expect too many facilities. additionally, there shops and the various nearby outlets that you see around would be accepting cash rather than cards. in case you happen to be nearby alapuzzha and are looking for an evening stroll along with family and friends then this would be a nice choice.

The evenings here are awesome with much less crowds. We had a nice peaceful evening here. There are shops here but on that day only a few were opened. You can enjoy the beach with very few people looking your way.

The road leading to the beach is on the opposite side of the Arthunkal church. It is a very quiet beach and there are few people here. If you go after 2 o'clock, you can get good fresh fish here

I have been to this beach multiple times before and this time it was not as clean as it was before, Arthunkal Pernal was ongoing and alot of hawkers and different type of sellers were on the beach and all the rubbish or left overs were thrown on the beautiful beach , I know I should not have put it down by 2 stars but this was my experience this time, yes i will visit the place again and I'm sure I will revisit my review again to make a change for sure 😉 but overall I feel this beach is quite big and quite relaxing in its beautiful way ! Yes please try to visit early morning and a bit in the evening to be safe from the scorching sun 🌞.

This is one the many beaches that you would find in the state and is located in the district of alapuzzha in central Kerala. The beach is historical being frequented by the Portugese.and has a beach side st Andrews Forane Church built by potugese. The beach is very dirty with lot of smell in the air of dried seafood. Not so easy to walk. You can but dried sea food products on the beach as their was one shop for that. I would say below average beach.

Beach has got enough parking spaces. Dried fish, toys, snack bars etc operate near the beach side. However the Beach sand is heavily polluted with plastic. Good for outings with family and friends.

Decent beach spot. Clean sands, moderate waves. Suitable for a casual day out. However, the ambiance lacks both privacy and tranquility.

Arthungal Beach offers a peaceful and natural setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of Kerala's coastal region. One of the main attractions of Arthungal Beach is the historic St. Andrew's Forane Church

After a long time, back to Arthunkal beach. Beach improved a lot in cleanliness. Still q long way to reach Marari & andhakaranazhi standards. The park near the beach is not maintained well though. My son just escaped from a falling coconut branch.

Nice and clean beach...lovely to see fishing boats..not many people around, vey quiet and calm when visited, which was good, loved the warmth of sea water.

The beach is at a walkable distance from the St. Andrew's Basilica. There are lot of fishermen with their small fishing boats. It is a good beach to visit but there are more beautiful beaches like Marari beach and Alleppey beach nearby where more tourists are visiting. Not crowded. Not given any preference by tourism dep for this beach. A large beach wants more development to be tourist friendly. You may get fresh fish directly from the fishermen.

A lot of touristers visiting here daily. A park is working besides the beach. Desert items and snacks are selling here, for a refreshment. This place gave me more experiences.
