Important to me as one of my family was one of over 7000 soldiers whose bodies still lie under the soil

A very moving memorial to over 7000 solders of WW1 who gave their lives and were never found.

Beautiful memorial to over 90,000 men who were killed in the 20 days of the Battle of Cambrai. The walls are inscribed with the names of the lads never found. Attached is a small cemetery including the graves of a reverend and a medical person. Beautifully kept as you would expect from the CWGC.

The memorial to the missing for over 7,000 men who died in the Battle of Cambrai in November-December 1917. It is beautifully maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. If you visit with a coach group park in the adjacent road as the camber of the parking at the main entrance is difficult for large vehicles.

Beautiful memorial dedicated to the brave Well maintained and easily accessible Visited in December.. So very quiet and surreal.. Just be within the grounds surrounded by young brave men who gave their lives was a privilege

Wanted to see the area where my great uncle died in the First World War and his name recorded on the monument. Also visited various museums and monuments in the Somme. Interesting visit to the tank museum at Flesquieres, too. Memorable visits in this centenary year.

Moving memorial to the more than 7,000 British and South African missing from the Battle of Cambrai in November and December 1917. The memorial is situated in the upper level of Louverval Military Cemetery on the Bapaume to Cambrai road. One of the Queen Mother's cousins Lt. Gavin Patrick Bowes-Lyon of the Grenadier Guards is commemorated here.

It's a CWGC cemetery so you know it's going to be beautiful. A couple of points to mention: It's in the middle of nowhere, so have a plan to get there and get back to a where you need to be, and Because it's in the middle of nowhere there isn't anywhere to get refreshments from It's right next to a noisy road which could disappoint some.

Art and architecture at its finest. This monument stopped me in tracks and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for your sacrifice, matched only by your bravery.
