I went to SmartStyle Hair Salon because most of the other beauty salons are closed on Mondays and I am so happy I did. Colton did an excellent job!! I've been to 4 different places in the past year and he was the only one who really listened and cut my hair exactly like I wanted. I sure hope he stays there because I will definitely go back.

The lady cutting my hair did a good job, but she washed,trimmed my hair, and once she was done my hair was still soaking wet. I asked her if she could just dry my hair no styling. She informed me it would be an extra $22 just to dry my hair. My haircut was almost $26, so I'd pay almost as much just for a hair dry????? That's crazy.

I've walked by many Wal-Mart based salons and never walked in. But the products caught my eye. I always like to know what products the hairdressers favor, and there they were right where I could see them. I walked in and that's when I found Katelyn! I felt like I was in good hands. My hair looks amazing! I will be back! For Sure!

If I could zero stars I would, made an appointment for my son to have his hair cut he wanted a fade for school pictures. Showed up at appointment time a little wait which was fine, till he got in the chair and the stylist started asking what we wanted we explained a fade and none off the top She asked me ok but what guard, which I didn’t understand why I needed to tell what guard for, and then she got an attitude with me and husband saying “ I know how to cut hair” I said with the attitude I don’t really want my kid to be touched by someone being forceful already and I understand that people don’t want to do fades on young kids but I wish they wouldn’t say the accept children when they don’t even want to do it. I already went in uneasy from how rudely I was told to wait, then I watched the stylist pretty much tell a lady I’m on my lunch very rudely, another man came in for a cut and was treated the same. I asked for an a manager and the blonde girl with pink highlights did nothing but join in. Will never return and I suggest if you want an actual fade go to the mall, which is where we went right after. No issue when explaining how he likes it and looks good. Also wanna note on how dirty the floors were. Do not go unless you want a messed up cut

I got a perm just before leaving for Scotland on holiday. I booked a perm in Alamagordo NM hoping to get a stylist that could give a perm that would hold up. I have straight fine thin hair that is perm resistant. Fortunately Maria was available and she gave me the best perm I’ve had in 25+ years. So when perm time comes around I will schedule with Maria. Only thing she is like a salon supervisor and travels to Smart Style salons to help out. So I’ll find her next perm time.

DID a walk in yesterday. Had my 8 year old get a hair cut. Loved the haircut. Had fun and came out super smooth she said. Loved it thank you. Store was organized and clean. Good job yall.

I was accused by the manager of being rude every time that I’ve come in, despite being a long time customer and coming here multiple times without any issue. I asked the manager for specific instances and evidence that I was in fact being rude every single time that I’ve been come in. I did have an issue today because their payment system was down due to their WiFi and the manager even confirmed this. This was no fault of my own. I was then threatened by Katelyn and the stylist that was working with her. They threatened to get the Walmart Asset Protection manager on me and told me that I can simply not come back. Pay very close attention to other reviews mentioning their attitude. You can’t express a concern or sort out an issue with them like an adult without them right away resorting to telling you to leave. Manager is not interested in helping customers at all and is instead quick to go on the defensive and dismiss you if you have an issue. Very unprofessional.

The new manager Ktjo is amazing ! I went in for a cut .. not only did she handle it extremely quick and with ease but I watched her take 2 little boys and give them such amazing faded in no time at all ! She’s Knowledgeable of her work and does it well with pride ! Definitely recommend going now that they have new management !!
