It’s one of the worst stays I’ve stayed in my life. I went on a vacation with my friends we paid 26k for the property but it was not at all worth it. The rooms were stinking the mirrors in the washroom had a very bad stain, there was no doormat in any of the area in the rooms. The power was going on and off all over the night. The pool was not clean at all. Please don’t waste your money in this property. Overall me and my friends had a very bad experience in Allepey because of this property. The only good thing is it has a great view of the lake if you have lake view room.

I'd rate the entire experience 3.5 stars. The view was breathtaking from the rooms and the pool. It's also budget friendly. The only drawback was the food. It was okay. Not great but not bad either. Definitely worth the price though.

The ambience was too good, the location just made the stay very special. The staff was very cooperative and welcoming and even the food was lovely specially the crispy dosa with coconut chutney . It seems to be a little understaffed due to impact of covid but they seem to be trying the best . The property needs little maintenance but not much . Overall it was lovely..

We stayed in February 23. The hotel is overrated. Grossly overrated. It's understaffed, under prepared. They have 1 person in dining to hande restaurant and in room dining leading to delays in food orders. Then their food rates are exorbitant compared to their service. The pool has no lights at night, no corner dim lights 💡glowing at night. The resort lights are directly in the window which blocks the views of the lake. The rooms are good, staffs are decent and well behaved. The hotel management seem to be least interested in keeping up with the quality. The room rates are not worth the value. They should reduce their rates and hire staffs, upgrade the property before going online for booking. They seem to be still in the Corona period and and haven't upgraded in last one year

We came in expecting something big. As soon as we reached no one to open the door. My mom got down to open the gate. We came into the room and it wasn't bad. Went for lunch and were disappointed. The menu was small and given to us on this small piece of paper. Options were less but food didn't taste bad. I went for a swim and after swimming when I was going to change the changing room was dirty and had no lights. The service was lazy for a hotel costing 10k per night. Was a disappointment

It was great experience staying in Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort. Front desk executive was very kind and helping. They allowed for an early check in and late check out. Room service was excellent. The lake view room stay was really a breathtaking experience. Thank you Lemon tree for such an excellent service.

I had a horrible experience with my kids and aged parents. I have made the reservations through Agoda, when i reach the resort, they said there is no bookings on my name and they are filled. Then I had call with lemon tree and agoda but nothing worked out. Somehow they said they are able to give us rooms but ac won't be working. We reached hotel at 12PM, checkin time was 2Pm but we have got our by 4PM. Out of 2 room one room was too dirty and ac wasn't working for the whole night. The other room ac was stopped in the midnight. Later we found out there was some group booking for a corporate event. They hosted a pool party which got extended beyond 2AM. Some young people were drunken, shouting horribly and played loud music. Informed the management but they haven't made any effort to help on this. We had extremely distrubed night. Since there was no ac we had to keep the window opened. Unfortunately all the rooms are pool facing. Food and beverage are very expensive as if they think people who stays here are from royal family but the food is not worthy for what we have paid. You need a special intelligence for understanding the bill what they provide you at the checkout. Because there would be mutiple chares and tax involved. If you are a family then i advice you to stay away from this horrible resort. Other than lake view there is nothing special in this hotel, which you can do from anywhere around the lake.

Nice property with pathetic maintenance. There are not enough staff for service. Even the available staff try to run away from customers. None of the Phone extensions work. Restaurant services are extremely poor. You have to wait at least one hour after ordering anything. They are just looting customers by showing some photographs from pre covid period

It was unfortunate to know that this resort has opened just a week before after 2 year closed due to covid and they charged premium rate without any preparation or services .. the photos shows is sites are totally diff and sad that such brands are creating unsatisfied travellers .. no maintainance for 2 year and not sure why they opened this without preparation..i went with my family but not got the expected ambience ..Agreed room is good , rest all upsets us

What a beautiful resort near by back waters at Alleppey, very nice location of the resort, nice & luxury rooms,well maintained services.the distance for the beach at Alleppey is almost 12 km from the resort

Really loved the Room, ambience and service by people at Lemon Tree Vembanad. The ground floor rooms facing the pool and lake was too awesome. Well maintained and clean ones. Food was also good and people were courteous. Only issue of concern was no security on the lake side and anyone can reach us through small boats, also the lake facing door locks were ordinary ones n can be broken easily. Reducing one star just for this security concern, otherwise it's a great place.

The property is very well planned with large space and good facilities in the rooms. The service is quite good but presently food is okay and needs improvement. Location and surroundings are really good and ideal for a quite and relaxing holiday. The view of the backwaters is awesome. Room tariff is reasonably priced.

Although the rooms were not overly spacious, they were spotless, as was the entire resort. The view of the back waters was magnificent, and the swimming pool, although of average size, was well-maintained. Since there were only a limited number of guests, there was no buffet, but if you order in advance, the kitchen staff will prepare anything from the menu for you. You can see an island from the room, and you can reach it by boat, which you can book at the reception. The cost of the boat was 900, and the trip took about 10 minutes. You can explore the island by foot, and despite the lack of people, it is a safe place to visit.

I don’t know how to give rating in negative. The worst Hotel room we ever experienced… we checked in at 7pm and 1. struggled with TV since it was not recharged. 2. Then the wifi connection was not establishing which did not happen even till the time we checked out. 3. AC regulator was not working. We had to ask reception to switch off the AC since it was centralised AC. Then comes the worst part 4. The toilet was blocked and after complaining, the maintenance staff cleared it once and then it get blocked again, not just toilet even the bathroom drain was choked . we expect to get at-least basic things to be right. Thanks lemon tree for making our 2nd anniversary great 👍

A little off the main road, but we'll be worth the drive. Warm welcome, very friendly staff, spacious room pool facing. Food options were limited, but what was served was tasty.

It was a decent stay. I really liked to view from room since it had pool as well as lake view. Sunrise could be seen from the room itself. I didn't like the food much as options were very limited. It is not a proper resort but I would say a hotel with huge garden area. Overall garden area not maintained properly. Also, location was not great and looked quite secluded during night. Room view is the highlight for the price

Spent a very good time here at this place. Quiet place, with a good pool, kids play area and a beautiful building. Staff was also very helpful. The view from pool area looking onto lake is breathtaking.

Great hosts and excellent food, served with a smile. Access is slightly difficult. The room and bathroom show a slight age. The lake view is good as one can see fishermen and nets early in the morning .

I had a wonderful experience at the lemon tree alleppey. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. A big thanks to Abhijit for making our check in smooth as we were totally drenched in sea water and had sand all over us. Anu and John being Manager and General Manager always make sure to connect with all guests regularly and would ask us how our day was and where we all went and would recommend new places too. The river side infinity pool was one of the best highlights of the property. You can see sunrise from your rooms or by the pool and lakeside. And the view was breathtaking. The food prepared by Chef Abhilash and Chef Vishnu was delicious and a special thanks to Neetu for serving us well throughout the stay. We had booked for one day and seeing their hospitality we extended our stay by one more day. Thanks team lemon tree for making our stay memorable

We were on a vacation trip to Lemontree Vembanad Lake Resort. The lake view ambience was amazing. The rooms were neat and tidy. Service provided by Mr.Anu was top notch. He catered to all our needs in a timely manner. Enjoyed the stay here.

There is an electricity problem. Power backup was not there and the family with kids were doing their day to day activities in pitch dark rooms and bathrooms, not the vacation you would wish to spend. 👎 This is not the LEMON TREE you know. In the food court, one lady Neethu was doing all the work, attending to all the guests, taking requests and serving all alone. Few boys were roaming around, who don't speak anything, they were nowhere to be seen and knew nothing about hotel/hospitality management, absolutely nothing. This woman Neethu alone attending to the phone as well as guests, that was a very tough work for anybody. There is one lady sitting near the Ayurveda spa, right below the food court, I don't really think she had any knowledge about the kind of property she is employed. She neither smiled nor had the courtesy to help, simply sitting in that chair and staring at the guests offering no help. Then the food. First of all, very very less options. Secondly, if the item is used up, they do not refill. If refilled, the quantity is again very less. So overall a horrible messed up management of the kitchen for a Lemon tree hotel, unbelievable, you will not believe it is a Lemon tree hotel. We didn't eat at all properly on the day we checked out because they said the kitchen didn't recieve power from night so options were almost nothing. I wanted ice cubes and they charged me for that, ICE CUBES were CHARGEABLE, have you heard about that? Puri and meduvada cooked in old oil, they didn't strain the oil to avoid the debris of previously cooked item, so the debris was deposited over the puris. So in short AC not working, frequent powercuts with no backup, door lock issues, poor amenities in room including toilette utilities, towels, poor reception staff, very poor food court management, all this together on a 2 day vacation after paying 15000 rupees, in my opinion is just like a huge blow on the head from behind. We 3 families managed to stay calm because the family outing cannot be ruined even if these guys do more than this. It was a perfect occasion, except these staff not doing their job, we were on our own after spending this amount. The manager of this property, I don't know if he exists or not, I didn't see him anywhere when the families were complaining about electricity and food. Will never recommend Lemon tree to anyone. I never thought Lemon tree could hire a bunch of idiots who can spoil a vacation. IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOTS!!

Great staff. The GM jijo is very very good person. Helped us and provided as per what we wanted. If you want to just relax this is the hotel. No activities in the hotel yet . Pure relaxing watching vembanad lake. Nearest house boat is kumarakom. Anup - the F&B manager is also very sweet guy . If there are any special requests tell him in advance he will make it happen. Overall good 2 nights stay . Rooms are spacious and good .

We stayed in this resort for 1 night and our experience was incredible. The rooms were exquisite with a very beautiful view. We stayed in the executive suite which had a small yard which was kind of private, and a view of the infinity pool and the lake. The food was amazing and the overall service was the best I’ve ever experienced. Everyone was warm and friendly and went out of their way to help us (especially Renjith who checked us in and the restaurant staff). I would recommend staying here!

If Kerala is God's own land..Lemon tree Vembanad is the resort he would prefer himself. It is a lush green property situated right besides Lake Vembanad. I booked a room for one night at this resort and the view from my room in 1st floor was purely breathtaking. The room was very spacious having a full glass view of the lake. We had to our luxury a four poster bed and a personal dressing area adjacent to the lavish bathroom. The most amazing facility at the hotel was the infinity swimming pool which blends seamlessly with the lake and gives one of a kind experience. They also serve complimentary evening snacks and tea at their restaurant which again overlooks the lake with a private houseboat of the resort itself. We also took the spa therapy wherein me and my wife took a combined package for 4000 rupees for 1 hour session. I enjoyed deep tissue massage and my wife experienced the herbs infused potli massage. It was really relaxing and the masseuers were thorough professionals. They also have sports facilities such as billiards, table tennis, carrom and a gym space. One more thing I would like to mention here is that lemon tree actively engages in hiring persons with disability in their property which I found to be a very good initiative. Keep up the good work lemon tree !! Anyone having second thoughts about booking this hotel, take my word and go for this resort. You defineitely won't regret it.

This was the best part of our Kerala trip in 2019. We got a room with a door opening toward the infinity pool, which was so beautiful and mesmerising. We were 2 families and one family stayed in the house boat for one night and we simply cannot forget this experience in our lifetime. Clean rooms, nice food, lovely ambience

Lemon tree happened to be one of a kind experience. The hotel has that authentic feel, from the walls to the beds everything is in sync. The Best thing is the view - the rooms face the swimming pool which connects you to the backwaters. The view is to die for & there is an ultimate sense of calmness that this place has. If you are looking forward to stay in Alleppey & can afford the tariff - DO NOT TAKE SECOND THOUGHTS! They also have provision for shikaras, which you can book pre hand! They also have spa facilities!

I stayed there with my family, had an excellent stay. There customer service is brilliant. Them boys are working very hard. Nice people. I specially mention the front desk guys. They are very polite and helpful. Thomas Joshy, a young guy working there was very nice.

Not the best out there but it will do. Need to improve in the aesthetic part. Breakfast was good though

Amazing place to stay. Stayed for 2nights. The location is good which becomes better with a pool deck room. The spa wasnt very well recieved by my mom but the location and ambience topped it otherwise. The cafe needs to have a more elaborate menu for 24hrs. There is no license to serve alcohol so either carry your own booze or find some place else for it.. Overall an amazing experience.

Actually it is a very nice property. The building is old and we will feel the classic touch. But the very big problem is they are not maintaining it well. The rooms are clean enough but even though we felt the dust in every where.

it is small property, with the lake view on one side. not much place to walk around. there is swiming poolnext to huge lake. The rooms are large and has lot of wood furniture. mostly functional, clean and neat. lake side has full glass to give you panoramic view of lake side. food in the citrus cafe is good. the breakfast is also good. with midium spread. the cafe is hugely under staffed in july 2022, there was a snooker table near reception but its not in playable condition.

I booked this hotel only for the view and infinity pool, but had some bad experiences, The reception staff were so polite and had a swimming pool view room they said they upgraded my room, the room is quite good, the hotel is located outside of the town, if u want to buy anything have to travel 4km to muhama. Breakfast was so good and delicious (buffet breakfast) As I mentioned before i booked this hotel for the swimming pool only, at night I saw so many guests using the pool so we decided to use it in the morning , after breakfast my wife and my 3-year-old son were so excited to use the pool we went to the pool side takes some photos one of the staff came and told my wife that she can't use the pool she need to wear sinthetic cloths, and he told me to change my shorts also , so my wife is disappointed so I decided to go out and buy some clothes there are no Shops nearby, so we cancelled our pool time plans, and we had included our dinner in package, the worst food i ever had in my life, nd they are claiming that the hotel is 4 star classification, they charged 205 for 2 coffees, I paid 6k for nothing,

Extremely disappointing and sub standard service. Even after taking entire amount of payment for booking room hotel calls on the day of booking to tell booking was done erroneously and it stands cancelled. That too at 3 pm when the check in time is 2 pm. Landline number doesn’t work. No one from hotel bothers to contact. Email to official id went unanswered for entire day. Anyone willing to take risk esp with family must try this property. Upkeep is also not as expected. Pool side beds are torn. Grass not cut and so on….. like there is a saying in hindi. Oonchi dukaan pheeka pakwaan( big shop name but tasteless food ). Food quality sub standard as well.

We stayed in this beautiful lake view property from 13/8/22 to 14/8/22. The view from the room was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to get the room which had both infinity pool and the lakeview ! The room was clean and spacious! Manoj and front office female staff ( sorry can’t remember the name) were really helpful and accommodated us early on request as we reached early than our check in time! Food needs little improvement but given the fact that the resort was re opened just 3 months ago , they have done a great job in managing full packed resort on that day! we would definitely visit this property on our next kerala trip for the Hospitality and Serene view.

Ridiculous. I had a bad Experince from the front desk. The staff don’t know how to welcome the guest and behave. He was quite rude and tough. He didn’t even allow to use the wash room for my family. He blocked them and said that they can’t use it without book a room first. Such an unexpected Experince first time in Alleppy. So I had to change the decision of staying in the resort. The front desk staff needs more training.. Very poor😔

Very good location, nice ambience. One of the best property by lemon tree... It cud be a 5 star rating if their kitchen was a bit better. Maybe it's just taste requirements, the food was a lil disappointing.. apart from that the staff were excellent. Very helpful n polite.. Will surely visit again

Had 2 night stay from 25-27 Jan, the property is old, small and not maintained. Though I was upgraded to higher category pool view room without asking but bathroom was shabby and had broken/rotten wood work on basin. I was charged service charge at booking and on confirmation mail I was informed I can get it refunded by asking Manager at property, though process of getting refund was intentionally made complex where you need to give bank details and it will 8-10 working days for refund or you can just order service and it will get adjusted in that. Seems like whole thing is designed so that guest is better off by spending that money on food at property. Breakfast spread was limited and sometime items were quite bad like extremely dry poha. Though staff was courteous and friendly but property needs some serious upgrade. Would not recommend if you are paying 6k or above
