𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝗠𝗿. 𝘃𝗶𝗻𝘂. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 I recently stayed at Sugar Business Hotel Kochi and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the rude behavior of the staff. Despite the convenient location and decent amenities, the unprofessionalism of some staff members left a lasting negative impression. 𝗠𝗿. 𝘃𝗶𝗻𝘂 He behavior was unexpected and greatly diminished the overall enjoyment of my visit. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐮 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 I believe that a hotel's success is not only based on its facilities but also on the quality of service provided. Regrettably, my experience fell short in this aspect. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues and provides additional training to ensure a more positive experience for future guests. It's main highlight just I'm not one or two day guest extended stay of more than 10 days at Sugar Business Hotel Kochi, and unfortunately, I must share my disappointment with the overall service. 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.?

As the name implies, it is a business hotel and a splendid one at that. Conveniently located adjacent to the highway in the suburbs it provides the guest with clean and well appointed rooms.Check in is fast and efficient by the staff at the front desk .The hotel has a fine restaurant serving breakfast till 10 am and provides for other meals too. There is a "Beer and wine " bar named Toxic which paradoxically serves nothing toxic. Its a non smoking hotel but has a small smoking area at the basement for those who need to fulfil their nicotine calls. Fine room service makes it a purpose built hotel .

When I checked in after a long flight, I was seeking advice from the duty manager on that day since Agoda asked me to refer to the hotel on changing my dates. Due to some complication I had to fly on day later thn the actual flying day. However, the duty manager was not even paying attention to my situation andwas rudely answering me and repeated sentences such as I can't and I will not get any commission. Can't help you, pay the full money. The duty manager were not professional and was rude the entire conversation. The room were dirty and I there were a death cockroach in the room. The shower had literally some dark spots and the bed gave me rashes. The room had some smell.. Good thing was my room was not a long stay, it was a short stay and I got a different hotel to move in. Will never recommend this hotel and it was waste of money!

Big NO for this hotel. House keeping manager was very rude. No customer comfort at all..Service was very very slow. They manage entire rooftop restaurant with one guy. It takes atleast 45 min to get a simple dish. No one bothered to solve the problem as I was seeing multiple reviews on poor staff service.

I recently went to the beer parlour which is a part of this hotel and is named as Toxic. Since all the seats at the bar was occupied they suggested us to sit in the restaurant and consume the drink. The ambience at the restaurant quite good and is perfectly warm lit for the mood. The staff was courteous and friendly. I saw the beer parlour which was perfectly lit for the chill mood but the seating capacity is quite low. They have all major brands of beer with reasonable rate and moreover the ambience and the hospitality is the key feature.

Located in the middle of Kochi, Sugar business hotel offers a good and comfortable stay at reasonable prices. The property is very well maintained with all the major and modern amenities. The rooms are spacious, well lit and equipped with all essentials. Restaurant on the ground floor was very well maintained and offers a good ambience. The staff were very polite and courteous. Parking facility is available in front of the hotel. The best part was they had gifted a small box of Kerala dry snacks at the time of check out.

Located adjacent to the National Highway and its so easy to reach there. Once we reach, the reception greets you well and the checking in was a friendly affair. Rooms are well maintained and are of high standards. I liked the interior and lighting too. But felt a bit congested inside the room. Lot of amenities accommodated in a single room and there is not big area to walk.

I stayed here for 3 days. CI 1.11.23 CO 4.11.23. I reported about the faulty mini fridge on 1st day and it wasn't rectified during entire stay. I hope the management is seriously monitoring the complaint registered by customers. TV set-top box is hidden like gem in a shelf and one has to have Olympic skills to point the remote to it. The waiters purposely tend to forget the orders placed during breakfast. Room service also wasn't to the mark, peanuts were sent with main course. We stayed here at some special tariff of 3k pp. But, I feel all the discount passed was compensated with poor service.

I visit your Tonic BAR and rooftop space once or twice in a week and quite familiar to the staff. Two weeks back I had a bad experience with a security guy, He was drunk and smelled alcohol so badly and he was guiding me for parking. After parked my car I asked him ' are you drunk " and he replied so nicely 'Yes". I shocked after hearing this and felt jealous on him for the kind of courage he has. Yesterday, I had parked my car in front of Tonic BAR close to the wall. Someone parked his car behind mine and it was quite difficult for me to take my car out but somehow I managed it. Suddenly after my circus to take the car back this security came to me. I asked him that do not allow people to park the car this much close by . He replied me that you have taken your car back so what is your issue now??. Then I said him this is not the way to behave , then his reply really shocked me. If you have any complaints please inform owner or GM and he doesnt care he can do things like this only. I know the Owner Mr. George and the GM, but this is not the way to behave to a customer. I have not seen such a misbehaved security anywhere in a star hotel. Dear Sugar Hotel Management , if you employs people like him they will loose your reputation and put side the customers from you, Everything except this person is fantastic in the hotel , Nice Ambiance in the BAR, delicious food and BAR staff are just awesome.

Good hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms. You should have add tooth paste and brush at bathrooms. Have a minibar that is well stocked, usually there will be a minibar with nothing on it. Location is a bit hard to get to as we have to go through the service road, has good parking space. The hotel can be easily spotted on the main highway. Room service was good.The hotel does have a bar and rooftop restaurant.Over all had a pleasant stay and nice sleep

The Sugar Business Hotel boasts a prime location near the Lakeshore Hospital in addition to its upscale 4-star rating. With 45 rooms available, guests can expect to be accommodated with ease. The breakfast offerings are noteworthy and the food quality is excellent based on the price. The friendly staff add to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. It's worth noting that the hotel tends to attract Arab guests due to its convenient proximity to the Lakeshore Hospital. The interiors of the hotel are stunning and kept to a high cleanliness standard. Compared to other 4-star hotels, the Sugar Business Hotel outshines others with its exceptional amenities. Overall, the visit was delightful. Certainly coming for more!

The hotel is a typical decent hotel. Looks good clean and tidy. Rooms feel a bit old requires a fresh makeover. There is renovation ongoing. Hopefully it'll look really good soon. Breakfast was tasty with many options. Room service was good. Everything was good. star hotel feel though but no complaints either.

1. No welcome drink 2. Room cleaning is not perfect 3. Bathroom was not cleaned well 4. No supporting staff to show rooms etc. However food was tasty and location is good.

Superb hotel to stay in. Clean rooms, courteous staff and amazing food. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay. We travelled with two kids and grandparents and they enjoyed their stay and food as well. Overall, a pleasant and happy stay 😊😄👍

Horrible experience from a 4 star classified property. Booked for 2 nights and left the property right after I checked In. Didn’t even care about getting a refund for the service I didn’t use and didn’t want to waste my time. The room provided was smelly with unwashed linen filled with someone else’s cum and blood. The reception staff was helpful and tried to accommodate us in other rooms but the situation was the same with two other rooms as well, stains and hairs all over and apologised for the situation. I reached the property at midnight after travelling a longer distance and had to look for another property to stay for the night. If the property had a busy period, this is not the way to accommodate more guests by turning the bed sheets upside down. Try to focus on quality and that’s how the business grows, the best suggestion I can give as someone who has managed a property before.

The rooms are neat and the checkin-checkout procedures was fast. The food was good, tasty and quick. Even the room service was good. On the down side the Internet could be better and there is algae stains in the washroom partitions. Overall the stay was good. The hotel smells fresh and would recommend.

I have stayed two nights, hotel rooms are very clean, breakfast average, reception staffs are friendly with smiling face. Welcome drinks is common for hotel guest, however upon check out we have goodies bag . This is very special for me! Overall we have great stay.

Great stay. Decently spacious rooms. Neat and clean toilet. It’s a business hotel. I found lots of Arabs used to stay here. There is bar available also. I have tried the roof top bar. In the roof top the service was very poor. Nobody was there for 15-20 mins. Food is nice but a bit costly.

We had nice dine with Saji selected food was kerala cuisine meals are chati curry, fish nirvana and Turkish chicken!! Superb taste.. And nice assistant!!! We will come again! All the way from Philippines !!

This was my second visit.. first was on the 29th of Oct, for which I had given my feedback on the stay. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a quick response from the Director - Deepa George. On my second visit from 1st to 2nd Nov, I even saw her making her rounds at the front desk and breakfast dining. Great to see the C suite getting involved at the front line. Staff were very welcoming especially those who recognise you and are very prompt in responding to your requests. I was personally sent a sent of toiletries upon check in, maybe cause of my first feedback. I would recommend this hotel for its value for money services, rooms and dining. On a side note, laundry services could be improved upon as it currently takes two days for guests to launder their clothes. Overall great stay.

Decent hotel which can be considered by visitors of VPS Lakeshore Hospital.

Great experience at hotel and good hospitality by the hoteliers. Nice rooms with stocked mini bar but prices are bit too high and good bathrooms but location is a bit far from main town area so VIEWS are not good.. Mediocre place if coming for a business trip but won't suggest as a VACATION hotel since there are many other resorts that are far better than this

Stayed here over a weekend. The location is quite far away from all major points in the city and even the metro. If you are going to Kochi for just a few days, stay somewhere closer to the centre of the city. The rooms were as good as they get in a 4 star hotel. The staff was welcoming. The breakfast buffet makes no sense whatsoever. 200 rupees for a buffet sounds good until you realise the place is crowded and outsiders are given the same preference as people who stay in the hotel over seating. The options are very limited and the service was super slow. Avoid at all costs. Not even worth 200. There is a South Indian restaurant not too far away which serves better food, go there. Room service sometimes takes forever to respond. Wanted to give 3.5 stars as everything else met the expectations and the stay wasn't bad per say.

Calm and classy atmosphere resembling home.. Reasonably tasty breakfast.Had a comfortable stay with mom for hospital appointment and was very accommodive in meeting requirements. Hoping to get similar services for safe stay ahead. Positive feedback is for provision of breakfast to rooms as it can help outpatient guests to stay with minimum discomfort.

Windows in the room had no handles to close. It was left open throughout. No electronic key for the room we stayed in. Other rooms had electronic keys. Towels were not looking fresh and there was no shower gel. The restaurant food tasted good.

I prefer to stay at Sugar for my business trips. Their rooms and amenities are good enough; and service quality is excellent! Vinu from the Front office and Ismail from the Housekeeping always ensure that I am well taken care of. The buffet breakfast is tasty though the spread is not wide; food is reasonably priced and tasty. The cleanliness and hygiene is commendable. I will definitely recommend this hotel for business travellers.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay with a beautiful and calming ambience all around the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel with many varieties served and orders were taken for items not served in the breakfast buffet. For our stay through the night, comfort was ensured through proper bedding and all required bathroom equipment provided for the next morning. With the provision of a few more amenities like a swimming this place would be a great place to stay.

A lovely, matter-of-fact business hotel with all the attributes of a 5 star without its frills is what Sugar Hotel is about. This is my second time here, and I loved it. They have a fantastic menu on the cards, eat and stay cozy. Value for money for the deserving!

Our friends group of 4 had visited this hotel recently. We stayed for 2 nights. We had a shocking experience. We had gone for a,wedding reception and during that time our room was cleaned by the room service. Our money amounting to Rs.9500 was missing . We immediately brought this to the notice of the manager and to our dismay he was very casual and non co -operative. The staff was brought n questioned but he denied it. The manager took up for the staff and said that he has faith in staff and such thing has not happened. In other words he proved us liars , which was very bad on his part. We do not recommend anyone for this hotel as we has a very horrible experience.

Hygienic , friendly staff, good spread of food. Every single staff are well trained and hospitable. Room are clean, and looks exactly as advertised. Located at a convenient area. Extremely happy with their service. A satisfied Malaysian Client

Decent venue and located at a calm location, accessible to city. Rooms are tidy and bathroom was well maintained. We only had complimentary breakfast which met expectations. There is a roof top restaurant in addition to it. Service perspective - If you are a foreigner, extra care is assured but if native Indian, go with less expectation 😃

I was here for an exam, so my experience is limited to being here for a few hours. Easily accessible, cordial staff, good facilities and great aesthetics.

It's very good convenient and budget able hotel. Staff also good hosting.

Still keeping its charm. Had a wonderful lunch with A non veg chicken biryani for better half & my son. I had a Veg Biryani. Five star for the chef. My recommendation.. Special mention to Mr. Ajay who attended us.
