Olam on the lake- beautiful location, you will fall in love with the place the moment you see the property. There are 3 rooms within the property. 2 rooms are connected and 1 room is separate. The separate room is superb, very spacious. One room is very small but has a beautiful balcony. Now, coming to the room, we saw frogs (4) in 2 rooms. When we asked them, they said there is a small opening in the door that's y frogs are coming. They said they will come in the morning and polish the door but they never came. We stayed there for 2 days and they didn't come. They said they will provide a cloth stand but that alaos they didn't do. The worst experience was when we went for dinner. We were a group of 11 people, we went for dinner to backwaters, the restaurant. The moment it was 10 pm, the manager rudely came and told us to get up. We were just finishing our dinner. We had a bill amount of 8000, we were not sitting for free. Out of the 2 days, one day we couldn't use the property because they were getting the lawn ready for the next days event. When we are spending so much money, going all the way to the property, the least we expect is basic courtesy and respect from the staff.

What a place! The whole place is so calming, peaceful and serene . Stayed for one night in their 2bhk cottage. The room were tastefully designed and very spacious. Bathrooms were neat and clean and toiletries provided. Cottage overlooks directly into the backwaters which cant get enough of.The staff were polite and service was on point. They also provide kayaking and sailing chargable on hourly basis. Kayaking is a must do activity when staying at the property. Overall an amazing stay, will definitely come back again.

One of the best river side in kochi, Located in outskirts of the city - Near panangad, the destination proves to be the prime location to conduct functions. Ambience is superb and the property is so well maintained, and call out to Syam the one who manages the resort is so cool, supportive and understandable who helps you manage your day/function much better. Thanks Olam and team for making my Son's birthday most memorable.

5 ⭐ for location. Minus 3 stars for service (Kayaks). My husband and I went to 'Olam on the lake' for a kayaking session based on good reviews. The place is in Panangad and has a beautiful vibe with mesmerising views. After a 45 minute drive, we reached the place. Only after reaching there, we came to know that it is a non guided tour. Also, the kayaks do not have any water proof bags to carry mobile phones. We were asked to leave our mobile phone on the shore/property. The waters looked slightly rough and since there was no other group for kayaking, I was concerned about safety. I raised my concern regarding safety measures in case of an emergency/accident while kayaking. There was no satisfactory response. Due to my concerns regarding safety, we returned without kayaking. Most other kayaking service providers in Ernakulam provide guided sessions and water proof bags. Note: Please check beforehand whether the session will be guided, based on your preferences. Also, make arrangements for carrying mobile phones.

An exclusive and serene getaway for a relaxed evening with family n friends . Really tasty food at reasonable price and the best staff i have come across . Overall a place I would like to recommend for a get-together .

Didn't Stay. Went to the restaurant for dinner. Food was very bad. We ordered the food beforehand and still it was one hour late. Not a good place. It's infested with ants and mosquitoes. Very Disappointing.

I need to write this review for sure! Me and my friends had booked rooms over here couple of days back. After many rerouting on Google map we reached the place.Since we reached night we rested on the rooms. they have a very good lawn area with backwaters and light breeze which makes us sleepy too.we have nice dinner especially prawns was awesome.The main thing was the property is run by two brothers their service was great .I have visited many resorts but most of the staffs are not much friendly .For most of our questions their reply was big "NO". But till our checkout time they had answer for our questions and our needs.Morning kayaking also done such a relaxing activity though iam first time the brothers made us cool. My friends too took rooms for the next day they also given me the same review.so i thought for a review Such a Relaxing place and Staff and one tamil boy was also there he's from Kodaikanal we had a nice conversation and tried for some tamil talks but it was an utter failure MUST VISIT Olam !

We went to their restaurant and I just have to say that this place was pretty as a picture! Loved it. Sat at the broad table near the bar and it was super cosy!! The view was absolutely gorgeous and the place is simply picturesque! Service was top class also! The waiter constantly checking in and super kind, the remaining staff there were super friendly and very inviting. Now, let's talk about the food. We were disappointed when they did say that only continental food was available and the good south Indian food wasn't available. This was a let down. But...the food that we ordered, it was totally awesome! We went for their BBQ Prawns, Chicken for mains, Grilled cottage cheese as appetitezers, vannila milkshake and a gingle ale with ice in a glass. The prawns, I must say isn't an easy thing to cook but these people nailed it. Cooked in lemon garlic butter and served with a flavoured rice and veggies, it was divine. The spicy grilled chicken, served with BBQ sauce, vegetables sauted in pepper and served with another flavoured rice was absolutely bursting with flavours!! The grilled cottage cheese was amazing too! And drinks, vannila milkshake was awesome! And ginger ale, well, it's a bottled one yet served in a glass full of ice with a lemon in it.. so chiq! Damn! The place is super friendly, cosy and awesome service! The price is expensive, relatively speaking! But it is a recommended place for all those couples who want a romantic date lunch / dinner!!

Excellent location Access to location is a bit far. Food taste is average Food/service quality is average Exorbitant prices comparing to product delivered, price is for location 😑 Don't try pizza. Beef steak was ok. Repeat visit - Not sure. Restaurant should take a poll on repeat visit and see the outcome

Ambience is outstanding very romantic ..perfect for a date night..but food is really pathetic and overpriced..u have to spend minimum 600 for a single item..worst part is that they wont serve any south indian food but they are giving publicity as they serve authentic south indian food..we get trapped over because this restaurant lies outskirt of panagad very remote isolated…we had no other option than having food from der eventhough der menu is limited and overpriced…normal people cant afford this place too expensive

Went there for weekend dine out with friends. Scenic location and friendly staff. Food is fresh and tasty. We tried all their desserts from chocolate mouse to chef special cheese cake all were delicious.

A fine dine restaurant with an amazing view to spend time with your friends and family. Their continental menu is so good. Service is also good.

As senior citizens working inspite of the present situation was getting a bit hard and tiring when we googled and got to know of OLAM. We took off on our much needed holiday only to find this beautiful serene quite atmosphere allowing us to rest and enjoy the luxury of nature with very good courteous simple and humble staff to look into our needs and nothing ends without our stomach feeling good absolutely good seafood on the whole we had two days of bliss making us promise ourselves another holiday at OLAM .Thanking the staff and the energetic host SYAM for giving us a great holiday . A hidden place in kochin , my home just 5km away from here but first time i heard about this.My friend suggested the place.it was really lovable Sunset view is the best like fort kochin .More over Syam was very friendly and he showed us around the property .we had just come for a tea but at last he made us to do kayaking and we had a snacks platter which was so yummy and too big for us.Any way had a great evening .Thanks syam and team we will visit again soon with our family.😍
