I have no clue how this place has 4.whatever ratings, maybe half of these reviews are paid? Cafe pappaya has unwritten rules of not staying longer than 15 minutes if you just get coffee and no main course. The staff will make sure to shoo you away if you stay for longer than that. Very unwelcoming and cold vibes from the management and the quantity of the food is so inadequate for the bomb of the price that you pay. I went there twice and each time had a horrible experience. What's the use of having good interior design if the food and coffee and the management is so poor? Gladly never visiting again!

This place is just wow. STAFF- courteous and super friendly, well-mannered. Ambience- awesome ambience. If you love clicking pics, this is your place Food- the taste was awesome, quantity and quality for the price charged was worth. I loved every single thing about this place. Suggestion- they can add more vegetarian and vegan stuff to their menu to attract more public

Dark Hot chocolate here is the best I have ever had. It's thick and creamy. They use proper chocolate and melt it. For Rs.190 It's totally worth it. Beef fry pizza is the other dish I would recommend.

Overall, a nice experience. The mushroom lasagna was great, and the chef’s salad was tasty. The chicken wings were really good. The hamburger … not so much. But we are American and we have never found a good burger in India 😆 Prasad was an *excellent waiter. Attentive and polite and helpful. The atmosphere is perfect. Great vibe with ice cold AC for us American tourists who are not used to the Kochi humidity 🥵 We recommend this place to anyone. But fellow Americans may find Indian dishes to be superior to the burger. (Just like it might be hard to find good Indian food in some American places.) The restaurant is ‘fusion’, but it’s heavily influenced by Indian flavors. We will be back during our stay in Kochi. Overall 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything gets better each time I visit this place. The service, the food, the taste... it's mind-blowing. This is a must visit place guys. Visited on women's day with my husband, but you guys literally made the day more special and I really loved the way everyone wished HAPPY WOMENS DAY and the face/hand painting. Good thought guys. We went to Café Papaya for lunch. Not very crowded and peaceful place. Very nice ambience. Arts and books all around with calm music playing. A very nice place to spend sometime away from all the madness. Service was fast. The staff made sure that we had everything we need. We ordered Nadan beef tacos and chicken Shishtaouk. Beef tacos were amazing. Chicken was good too. Iced lemon tea was a little extra sweet. Then we ordered Lamb Loin chops and BBQ lamb ribs. BBQ lamb ribs was heavenly. It came with an amazing garlic bread. We also ordered The Dark Knight which was the dark chocolate. It was out of the world amazing. Never had such good dark chocolate anywhere till now. Overall, an amazing experience.

I had an amazing dining experience at Cafe Papaya. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Kochi. I would also like to give a special mention to our server, Prasad. He was very helpful and offered great service throughout our meal. He was always attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Cafe Papaya is one of the most hospitable places in this city, they are extremely welcoming and good listeners. Being a Vegan,  I was really able to make them understand my food restrictions and they did a good job,  indubitably. Had a wonderful time here. Visited during weekdays. The cafe was empty when we entered. Soon some family and couples came in and the cafe became lively. 👍 we ordered fried chicken burger, kappa lasagne, special mango shake and a virgin mojito. Food was good, tasted nice.. Ambience was awesome. They offer 2 more facilities - Papaya Space - 1000sq.ft space for meetings, meets, workshops. Chares Rs. 2500/- per hour. 16 seater Private theater with Apple Tv and 7.1 sound system. Charges Rs. 1500/- per hour. Parking space available. 👍

Ever since our short Film DAVID got into the final phase of post production, I wished to gather the cast & crew and few other guests and show the outcome on a private show. Cafe Papaya was the recommendation I got from a few people and I decided to go ahead with that. From the very first conversation over the phone, I felt comfortable with them. It was like they already knew what all I wanted. The Manager Suman Bony helped me to sort out everything that need to be done throughout the planning of this. Though I was completely worried about hosting such a gathering where I had some respected guests coming, it all went away the moment I reached there. They managed everything well to the point that I had to think of nothing at all. Suman Bony was there from the beginning to end seeing to all our needs with a pleasant smile. The ambience of the place, the food served, the quality of the staff and everything is commendable. If I'm lucky enough to host such other events, I won't have a second thought. Loved It. The quality of food served and the service offered was pretty good . We had tried the following foods - chicken tikka pizza, crunchy apple salad ,chicken strips, potato wedges , paneer and cheeze pizza. All the food mentioned above was great. On top of it loved the ambiance. A little overpriced , but still worth it if u want to spent some good time with friends and family. The interior design is pretty good with lots of indoor plants. Good music and ambience. They have some craft items for sale , depends on individual taste and the price seems a bit too high. A must try in kochi.

Went there on a weekend afternoon. It wasn't very crowded and we could seat immediately. The staff was friendly and food was delicious as well but they didn't have most of the things we wished to order first so had to change our orders. Didn't have to wait too long for our food. The ambience was beautiful and they had a little store with items from local artists for sale. Over all we enjoyed ourselves with good food.

Ideal spot to chillout with Family and friends. Must try the papaya special items in the menu rather than trying burgers and pizzas. Drinks are also very nice here. We tried Mojitos, Cafe Mocha, Pidi kozhi, Beef wrap, paneer wrap, Shrimps Tempura with tapioca and betroot chips as side dish, and one special dessert. All of the items were really food and tasty. Also the ambience is super awesome. A private theatre is also there and am not sure if the customers have access to it. Malayalam film director Ashiq abu is the owner of this cafe according to my knowledge. Service was too good. Parking is available for 3-4 cars at a time. Honestly I had a awesome time here... The cafe has amazing ambiance... Tables are well spaced not crammed thus having a good space to yourselves to chill out with friends or family... The staff here are super friendly... their service was excellent... They are making sure that each customer coming here have a great experience... No matter what issues we have they are there to help you out.. that's what I felt. They have a hall in the first floor where you can hold small events. The entire cafe is well air conditioned. Coming to the food they were delicious. I had the Potato wedges, Crispy fried chicken, Fajita chicken wrap, Caramel frappe, Dark chocolate drink,coconut pannacotta and the papaya suite. The wedges were crispy, soft and had a good kick of heat. The burger was crispy and juicy. I am not sure about the wrap and the hot chocolate as my cousin had them but he said he loved it. Also both wrap and the burger comes with a side of fries with its mayo and coleslaw(I think). The papaya suite (a special dessert here at papaya cafe) was ok but is a bit too sweet to my liking and also after having it I didnt feel as the pricing was justified. The last comment I just my personal opinion. Nevertheless I had a wonderful time here at cafe Pappya... Looking forward to my next visit.

Ambience is one of the best in ernakulam. We ordered grilled chicken burger, porota and beef roll, Caesars salad, chococloud and hot chocolate. Hot chocolate(dark) top ten in ernakulam, it was thick, creamy and delicious. Chococloud was an chocolate lava cake topped with vanilla ice cream, the cake was served hot and was delicious. Porota and beef wrap was delicious, the porota was crispy and beef was well cooked and soft. Caesars salad was okish. Grilled chicken burger was not good especially the bun.

Perfect ambience that is too damn good when it rains. The food is superb in quality, taste, presentation everything. The service is also good. I went there in the morning so there was no customer other than me. But i can bet that this the best hangout spot. I tried the Grill chicken sandwich and damn that the best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever ate. The amount of chicken was soo perfect, the onions were perfectly caramelized, its soo good. Even tho they said it'll take upto 15 minutes to prepare it, i got it in under 10 minutes so cheers to team papaya. Definitely a 10/10 cafe

Lived in kochi for 3years and somehow missed this place till now. Lovely decor, delicious fusion food and excellent service. We had the chicken strips, beef chilli fries and parotta butter chicken wrap. All of them were excellent. Highly recommended.

Walking in i felt the arrangement of the restaurant was not quiet as appealing as the hype i had heard about the place. They can accommodate more tables and chairs as every table felt in its own district. Got the feeling they have arranged a few tables within a library. The food was also the other aspect i was disappointed with. The chips with chicken just did not have a flavour. The beef pizza was ordered with much hope to save the day. Unfortunately it felt like the base was frozen. It did not have the natural flexibility you experience as you pull a slice away from its family. Topping was like normal beef fry grated on top of the pizza. I do not think i will be back in a hurry. If i am, i will time the event a little closer to evenings when the crowds walk in. The difference can be when the crowds walk in.

Was here for the first time. Loved the experience. Perfect place to do your work. There are power slots too. You can spend your whole day here. I had bbq pizza and it literally took only a minute to finish it as it was so yum. Try their shakes so thick and of good quantity and quality. Definitely a must try. 100% recommend this place.

Though it was my first time trying the pazham pori n beef combo..( I rather prefer it having both separately)) Overall the experience was lovely.. the ambience is too goooood...
