The place is excellent for a comfortable, peaceful stay. The rooms are clean with a fairly good set of furniture. Water is available always with the provision of a heater in the bathroom. Food is made to order. It was very tasty. Seafood is their specialty. One should not miss the delicacies while staying there. One minus mark is for the difficulty in reaching the place. The road is narrow and presently with a lot of potholes. It is heard that the government has already sanctioned the work to repair the road. We enjoyed our stay of two days immensely. If the climate is favourable, one can do some good sun-set photography!

Celebrated my son's first birthday here. Turned out to be a really good decision to select Kallanchery retreat as the venue. They have a deck facing the lagoon where the decorations were done and the food was served inside the buffet hall. Sound system was provided and there are rooms if you need to stay for the night. All in all a very good place. Special thanks to Ramesh for facilitating everything!

The experience was surreal. From welcoming and cheerful staffs to the location of the resort, from the amenities available to arrangements made, everything was up to the mark. Beautiful location with water frontage and lot of Chinese fish nets . Very nice and friendly staff. This property is very clean and neat. They made tasty food with low spices. If you order your menu one day before your stay then they will arrange all dishes as per your requirements. They provide Veg and Nonveg dishes especially fish dishes. The view around is very awesome....They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious and clean.. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. We recommend this location you to stay with family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Place was quiet and amazing. Best place to spend your time with family as well as hosting small get-together or functions. Food served here is very delicious and amazing hospitality by the host. You feel relaxed and calm when you are here. Definitely a place to visit and you won't regret the experience.

We visited kallencherry with full family, 3 generations. Location was great even though getting there was a challenge. Very peaceful place, great place to enjoy your evenings. The resort was maintained with high standards, plenty of space for relaxation. Our host was very supportive and always there to help out. They served a delicious breakfast in the morning. Will visit again.

Lovely place, we were looked after really well, the food was delicious and the owner helped us arrange a houseboat trip in Alleppey, as well as a boat trip behind the property and can arrange trips to Fort Cochin. The room we stayed in has a great view and was quite comfortable but an issue with the plumbing meant we didn't have hot water in the shower - nothing they could do about it. The whole place is beautiful and quiet.

We had a family get together at Kallancherry Retreat. Excellent stay arrangements, homely food and panoramic surroundings are satisfying factors. We enjoyed the hospitality extended by Mr Ramesh.

A great place that's well managed with natural settings. The host was always ahead of us and took care of our stay without any deficiencies. We had booked a room including breakfast and I have to say that the quantity was quite generous that we couldn't finish everything. One slightly annoying thing that I experienced was that the helper/care-taker boy was continuously on his game on his mobile and I had to try hard to get his attention. So I had to call the owner for each and everything. The room was right outside the lake and the scenery and the serenity was unmatched and I have never experienced something like this before. The price was quite reasonable for the experience.

We had good time here recently. Pros: Good ambience and lot of open space. Good place to spend the evening, viewing the sunset. Rooms are basic in nature but neat and clean. Food is decent. Also we were fortunate to see the "Kavaru" (Bioluminescence), though by walking for few kilometers in the midnight. Cons: Access to the place is by very narrow road and only one vehicle at a time. Maneuvering the vehicle is difficult at some locations. There is scope for improvement in hospitality.

Very nice stay at this resort near the lake. The serene ambience combined with the stunning lake view made for a truly enchanting experience. What truly stood out was the delectable food they offered. I'm not a seafood lover, still I liked the dishes. Overall, a truly remarkable experience. It was a pleasant experience at Kallanchery Retreat. Just at the picturesque backwaters of Kumbalangi, the rooms were clean, the food was delicious and the boating under the moonlight was simply awesome. We had the entire property for our get together and overall it was a great experience at Kallanchery Retreat.

It’s been the third time in last 2 years we have been to Kallenchery Resort. One thing that has been consistent is the food! നല്ല നാടൻ വെണ്ണക്കപ്പയും മീനും !! Whichever be your menu choice this is something you shouldn’t miss!! Other dishes are equally good! I must say chefs (ചേച്ചിമാർ) behind the scenes deserves all the credit. We stayed overnight for the first time and rooms were really cozy! Kindly excuse the sounds coming from construction of the 20 room new property which is coming up during the late morning hours. Lights were turned off by 11 PM ish..moon light and gentle breeze was good to continue, still turning off the lights by 11 was a bit turn off for a few! Overall a great experience!!

Gud room but washroom was not that much clean.. Ambiance of resort was beautiful, car parking also gud but on the way to resort the road 1 km was very bad and congested .

Stayed here for two nights. Had a heavenly treatment. The resort is like a paradise. Rooms right on the sea shore. Chinese fishing net, then a deck in the sea, where you can sit and have chat. Service was exceptional. Food was simply great. The crab curry and prawns curry were very authentic. We recommend one should definitely visit this place. We will visit again and again.

Best place to plan for vacation either with family or solo. Felt like home. Cosy, comfortable rooms, which has beautiful backwater view. Easy access to the backwaters. Take a book, order tea/coffee go the the aisle sit there let the breeze touch you and u will feel refreshed and healed. Service is best here, Raju Anna greeted and served us the best way possible. Ramesh and Rocky wonderful combo ull ever get to meet and talk about this beautiful place. Boating is must try there. Experience the wild mangrove forest and u get to see lots of birds, Chinese fishing nets, Anna who came with us will teach how to row. Soulful experience. Mouthwatering dishes especially prawn rost, chicken pasta. Everything was upto perfection. Order would be taken beforehand so that they would cook specially for us. Thank you team for allowing us to enjoy the whole trip wholeheartedly. A must visit place 💓

I had a fantastic stay at Kallancherry Retreat. The peaceful grounds of the property made it easy to unwind the moment I arrived. The rooms are kept beautifully clean and the quality of the food was excellent! Delicious Kerelan dishes prepared fresh and adjusted for individuals tastes was such a treat to enjoy. The staff were friendly and very accommodating to my needs. The management were extremely helpful in booking taxis, recommending day trips or connecting me with local guides as needed. I highly recommend enjoying a relaxing boating trip of the gentle surrounding backwaters at dusk. The sunsets views from water or on land at Kallancherry were spectacular.

We had spent an afternoon and night at the resort. Magical is what I could say about the experience, an absolutely serene and soothing stay, close to the backwaters. To add to the experience, the service and food was top notch. We are keenly looking forward to spending more time soon...

Catherine and myself felt like having lunch at Kumbalangi, nowhere in particular. It was providential that we landed up at Rocky's Kallanchery Retreat. That is how we happened to meet an amazing family and a great chef and owner of the place Rocky. A down to earth caring humane personality which the entire place has imbibed and you can feel the positive energy and aura there. We had a super lunch of freshly netted prawns and crabs cooked to our liking. That's the chef in Rocky, a people person. Will definitely keep visiting on our trips to Kochi. Highly recommended for people who are looking for tasteful enlightenment and savour the beauty of nature at it's best.

This is a welcome place for family/ friends get together. The host and his team took good care of us. Food was delicious and service excellent. With beautiful serene view to the backwater and lush green surroundings, this place is ideal for a relaxed atmosphere.

The host is polite and the rooms are good but apart from that there is nothing much. Its a dull place with hardly 2 rooms available for the guests and no1 else in the property. Even the lights are off always. No proper seating arrangements near the backwater side. Food was good though. But the vibe was missing majorly due to the ambience. All these pics are from some events. On normal days there is not much lighting.

We had a ten days trip to Kerala. We stayed here on the last day of our trip. It was really beautiful and we were really happy to find homely food after so many days. The place is so calm and serene. You can have a boat ride at an additional cost.

It was a peaceful stay. We checked in at around 1pm and checked out in the next day morning. The cottage was located just next to the backwaters. You can see the Chinese fishing nets, peaceful backwaters from the room. They arranged boating in the back waters. It was a manual pedaled boat, but the entire boating experience is a bliss. It's not a commercial boating facility. You will feel that calmness and beautiful scenic views of coconut trees, mangroves and multiple Chinese fishing nets. They arranged the home food as per our order. All items prepared for both lunch and dinner are really good. Our cottage consists of 3 beds. Overall we are very happy with the stay.

A great place to lean back and relax. Just enjoy the canoe boating under the blue sky, with greenery around. Then this space, the mood it offers is amazing. Hospitality is also great.

From the town its bit far but once you are there its an ideal place for a calm n quiet for people coming from busy city life. It has a good area where u can freely roam around and njoii urself. Has enough resting areas where u can relax if u wish to stay out from the rooms and have natural air. Being near to the river, always has a good breeze of air. Roads are not that much good, hope they will take up with the concerned govt, officials to do the patching. This place can accommodate small and large gathering and it has a good parking space. Rooms were good, spacious, but we need to wait for some time for us to check-in Service was good and staffs were also cooperative and friendly with us. Food was good. Once we reached the place they served us with lemon juice and starters which was good. We had lunch; chicken & Fish Curry was good, but the Karimeen was not tasty as we felt it was kept in cold storage for quiet some days. Overall we liked the place and recommend this place to all others.

This resort is located at the north end of the kallanchery. There is a small hall there for indoor programs. I think most of the events are take place in outside premises of the resort which is facing to a lake. That's makes the events more attractive. It's really pleasure to be there for an event.✨

Good property. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN DEALING WITH THE MANAGER. HE WILL GIVE VERY UNREAL QUOTE AS IF THEY ONLY KNOW THE MARKET PRICE FOR EVENTS AND FOOD.

We had a birthday party. Great place, captured lots of good photos. Though there are gutters in the road towards the place, it's worth it if planning for any open space event. Great service by the staff also.
