As
a
first
timer
young
mother
to
be
it
will
not
be
wrong
to
say
that
we
all
are
apprehensive
and
concern
right
from
conception
till
you
actually
deliver.
Add
to
it
the
uncertainties
of
the
Caesarean
Section
as
‘an
icing
on
the
cake’
(like
it
or
lump
it
any
which
way
you
feel).
I
too
was
no
different
being
a
lonesome
soul
(staying
alone
with
husband
to
make
the
two
ends
meet
in
a
decent
manner).
Having
undergone
the
stress
of
IVF
with
a
happy
ending
and
twin
fetuses
at
Kolkata
the
nightmare
was
about
to
begin
with
pregnancy
related
diabetes,
fluctuating
blood
pressure,
low
thyroid
levels
and
fluctuating
moods.
As
if
this
was
not
enough,
I
ended
up
with
Cerclage
soon
at
Delhi.
My
stress
level
grew
to
unprecedented
heights
when
during
the
late
first
trimester
my
husband
(a
pilot)
got
orders
to
move
to
Kozhikode.
My
first
concern
obviously
was
finding
a
good
obstetrician.
With
so
many
advisors,
suggestions
and
‘expressed
concerns’
(more
than
you
can
think
off)
and
no
suitable
options
left
to
explore
I
stuck
to
our
‘Google
Baba’
scanning
reviews
in
hundreds
till
I
came
across
a
picture
of
a
smart,
sober,
gentle,
genial
and
positive
looking
obstetrician
at
Kozhikode.
The
reviews
too
were
very
motivating.
With
obvious
uncertainties
and
hesitancy,
I
reached
for
my
phone
and
dialed
the
number
and
to
my
surprise
got
an
immediate
response.
My
initial
hesitancy
to
say
‘Hello’
was
greeted
by
a
calm,
composed,
confident
soft
voice.
I
knew
it
instantaneously
that
it
can
be
no
one
else
but
Dr
Nazer
Thalamkandathil
from
Aster
MIMS
at
Kozhikode
on
the
other
side.
He
sounded
so
comforting
and
reassuring
that
all
my
anxiety
and
fears
to
talk
to
a
stranger
were
laid
to
rest
in
just
a
moment.
Talking
to
him
was
a
pure
professional
poetry
and
rest
as
we
say
is
a
history.
Needless
to
say,
I
was
soon
at
Kozhikode
in
his
consultation
chamber
for
the
first
of
my
many
subsequent
visits,
every
time
laden
with
a
new
battery
of
‘what
and
why,
how
and
when’
and
my
apprehensions
galore
testing
him
to
the
hilt
of
his
patience
but
Dr
Nazer’s
with
his
healing
touch
and
patience
(his
hallmark)
would
answer
all
my
queries.
With
the
ease
of
interaction
and
ever-increasing
faith
and
trust
in
his
professional
competency
and
skills
I
would
always
return
satisfied
and
convinced
that
‘all
is
well’
till
the
dawn
of
the
next
day
when
I
would
soon
be
ready
with
the
never-ending
set
of
queries
once
again.
My
pregnancy
was
not
only
precious
to
me
but
was
a
Precious
Pregnancy
for
him
too.
His
personal
touch
made
me
feel
special
and
comfortable
in
a
way
which
only
he
can
(as
all
patients
in
that
precarious
state
would
like
and
appreciate).
Irrespective
of
all
the
co-related
issues
of
my
pregnancy,
my
pregnancy
thereafter
was
a
smooth
sailing
under
his
well-planned
professional
guidance,
management
and
care.
With
the
ease
of
communication
(angelic
and
divine)
my
hopes
and
spirits
for
a
successful
outcome
were
held
high
and
all
fears
allayed
so
much
so
that
with
premature
labor
pains
at
28th
week
I
went
into
the
OT
for
a
C-Section
undaunted
and
undeterred.
Next
72
hours
saw
me
back
in
the
comforts
of
my
home.
Thank
you,
Dr
Nazer’s
for
making
this
unchartered
journey
to
motherhood
the
most
exciting
and
a
memorable
one
which
I
will
always
recite
to
my
twin-newborns
(when
they
start
understanding)
who
definitely
will
always
say
in
the
midst
of
their
prayers
(as
do
I)
“Thank
you
Dr
Nazer
for
taking
care
of
our
mom
and
delivering
us
safely
in
this
big,
bright
beautiful
world!
Together
we
are
grateful
to
you
for
being
a
part
of
our
journey.
You
have
been
a
part
of
our
family,
would
always
be
and
never
to
be
forgotten.
We
are
blessed
that
you
were
‘Our
Doctor’…
Be
blessed…always!”
Let
me
also
thank
all
the
reviewers
who
have
shared
their
experiences
on
the
net
while
under
his
care.
Your
sincere
honest
reviews
helped
me
make
the
right
decision
in
the
precarious
situation.
I
did
enjoy
every
moment
of
my
pregnancy
under
Dr
Nazer’s
care
and
you
too
will
if
you
are
looking
for
genuine
pleasant
experience
of
a
happy
pregnancy…so
look
no
further!
